From start to finish, this was by far one of the BEST car rental experiences I’ve ever had. Pickup was quick and hassle-free, and Gio went above and beyond assisting with all my questions with outstanding quick response time 24/7. The vehicle was spotless, well-maintained, and drove like it was brand new. It was exactly as advertised, and I appreciated the attention to detail—from the cleanliness to the full tank of gas and the excellent condition of the car. What really stood out was the customer service. Gio was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about providing a great experience. He answered all of my questions (especially when it came to navigating the dumpster fire of TURO customer service, ) made the process seamless, and made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another reservation. Returning the vehicle was just as easy as pickup, with no hidden fees, surprises, or unnecessary delays. It’s refreshing to find a company that delivers exactly what they promise. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from them again and will absolutely recommend them to family, friends, and anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and stress-free car rental experience. Five stars all the way!
I absolutely enjoyed this vehicle and I will definitely be looking for it again soon when I plan my next trip. Thank goodness for Turo, nothing is better than actually driving a real car and changing what people think of rental cars.
Quality of the car was superb picking it up was easy. They did have the wrong address, but it was very easy to correspond with the company. They got back with me immediately gave me their new location.. reasonable price for a nice luxury car will definitely go through Toro again

Everything was great from start to finish. The car was ready when we arrived at the airport—no waiting, no hassle, and no long lines. Not to mention, the price was very reasonable compared to other Car rental places. The host was very supportive throughout the entire trip and answered any questions I had. Overall, I rate the service a 10 out of 10, and I will definitely be using them again. I highly recommend this service.

The car drove very smoothly, and the entire rental process was incredibly easy. I also loved not having to worry about a security deposit like with many other rental companies. I needed a rental because the A/C in my personal car stopped working, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. The A/C got ice cold even on the first fan setting, which was a huge plus in the Arizona heat! The owner was very kind, responsive, and quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. I would definitely rent from them again. 🙂

Shawn was an absolutely fantastic host! The Audi RS6 was an incredible car—clean, well-maintained, and a blast to drive. Shawn was very accommodating, responsive, and made the entire rental process smooth and easy from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely cares about providing a great experience for his guests. I would highly recommend renting from Shawn to anyone looking for a great Turo experience. I’ll definitely be renting from him again!
Car was great! It is off site from airport but a short uber ride away. Families in our group got rental cars from big name companies on site at PHX and it took them much longer to get to the rental car center only to wait in line. We walked right up, signed, grabbed the keys and started our vacation.
Fantastic rental experience from start to finish! The car was clean, comfortable, reliable, and fuel-efficient. It was perfect for our trip in Arizona and handled all the long drives from the South to the North. The host was excellent and responsive. We did have an issue where we needed a tire change and I was impressed with Jon's quick replies as he guided me through it, making it smooth and stress-free. Overall, the communication was top tier and pick-up and drop-off was super easy. Highly recommend! I would definitely rent from this host again.
I needed a vehicle while my car was in the shop for minor repairs and this vehicle was perfect having owned a Honda Accord before! This car ran very well! Considering the mileage, it accelerated well and was well maintained. The shocks and suspension are better than my current vehicle. MPG is fairly decent (which is a relief considering gas prices at the moment). Interior was kept ✨️S P O T L E S S✨️👌 . Wonderful doing business!
This was a great experience. I hate dealing with big name car rental companies. This experience exceeded my expectations. Communication and instructions wee very clear. I will use Mohammad again when I am in town.

Although this is a slightly mixed review, I am providing 5 stars because it was a good overall experience and the issues were easily overcome by utilizing general skills that you should have for traveling. The 2 team members I encountered on site were kind and professional. The comms via the app were timely and thorough. The car was in great shape and everything operated as expected. The M340 is fun to drive and has all of your modern technology. This pickup location was easily accessible via the sky train and only a short walk from the sky train. Although, I can see how the location has drawn concerns from single ladies picking up cars here during off hours. The directions to pickup the car are great till you get off of the train. Once you exit the train the instructions are not good. I would highly advise that the instructions are rewritten to be more clear. We reviewed the instructions when searching for the pickup location and after finding it. They simply do not accurately explain how to get to the lot from the train stop. The car was not ready when I arrived. They were still cleaning and had to make a fuel run to fill it up before my trip could begin. Luckily I was not on a tight schedule and the delay did not cause me grief. The delay only mounted to about 15 minutes. I would and likely will rent again considering I have business that will be taking me to Scottsdale over the coming months.

Hands down the best Turo experience I’ve ever had. Communication with host was extremely easy. Pick up and drop off was very well communicated. The m6 was in showroom condition, and is clearly well maintained. Hosts like Brian are the exact reason I prefer turo over traditional car rental companies. A++

Car is clean and seemingly well-maintained. Feels a lot of the road and occasionally drives a little sluggish. It gets great gas mileage tho and was otherwise worth the price.
Rent a car and explore Tempe, AZ
Tempe, AZ is the kind of city that plays it cool while quietly offering up some of Arizona's most vibrant culture, outdoor escapes, and buzzy events. From the academic heartbeat of Arizona State University to striking desert landscapes, there's something for every kind of traveler — whether you're in town for a quick stop or a sun-soaked sabbatical.
Rent the perfect car
Sure, it's a university, but ASU is practically its own city, pulsing with art, innovation, and just the right dose of collegiate chaos. From the geometrically iconic Gammage Auditorium, designed by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright, to the boundary-pushing installations inside the ASU Art Museum, the campus is a living gallery. On any given day, you might stumble upon a film screening, live music, or a philosophical debate happening under the palms. Best of all? It's easy to navigate with your rental car, and there's parking near most major spots. Wandering on foot is great, but cruising through Palm Walk in a sunroofed sedan is even better.
If Mars and a postcard-perfect golf course had a baby, it would look something like Papago Park. Located just minutes from downtown Tempe, this otherworldly stretch of sculpted sandstone formations invites you to hike, climb, or simply stand still and stare in awe. The short but stunning Hole-in-the-Rock Trail rewards even the least athletic visitor with sweeping desert views and no risk of altitude-induced melodrama. With a rental car on Turo, access is effortless. The nearby Desert Botanical Garden and Phoenix Zoo turn a casual drive into a full-blown field trip.
A lake in the desert? Absolutely. Tempe Town Lake is the city's cooling crown jewel, where locals and visitors alike flock for paddleboarding, waterfront concerts, and golden-hour walks that feel suspiciously like movie montages. There's ample free parking, especially near Tempe Beach Park, and plenty of scenic routes for a slow roll with the windows down. It's the kind of place where you come for the kayaking but stay for the skyline views and maybe a taco or two from a truck that knows what it's doing.

In a city where triple-digit temperatures are routine and everything from indie bookstores to desert trails deserves a visit, a car becomes less of a travel convenience and more of a survival strategy. Tempe may flirt with public transport, but true mobility (and spontaneity) belongs to those with keys in hand. Whether you're arriving for a semester, a summit, or a sun-drenched sabbatical, here's what you need to know before setting your sights on four wheels.
Tempe's streets are wide, well-marked, and rarely in a rush — except, of course, when school's in session or the mercury's pushing past 110°F. Speed limits hover around 25 mph in neighborhoods and stretch to 65 mph on highways like US-60 and Loop 101. The grid layout is a gift to the directionally challenged, but do be wary of the occasional rogue e-scooter or distracted undergrad emerging from the ASU campus with zero warning and earbuds firmly in place.
You won't need to perform a parking séance to find a spot in Tempe. The downtown core, particularly near Mill Avenue and Tempe Beach Park, offers a healthy mix of garages, meter zones, and surface lots. Some spots come with the golden words: free parking. Free parking spots are usually timed (limited to two to four hours), so no dawdling. Just avoid parking like a tourist during events or football games unless you enjoy tow truck sightings.
Good news: you won't hit any toll roads in Tempe. Arizona has no toll roads at all, so you can drive around town and across the state without worrying about tolls, transponders, or extra charges.
Yes to both. Gas stations are scattered generously throughout the city, particularly along major roads like South Priest Drive and North Scottsdale Road. If you're driving an electric vehicle (say, a Tesla), there are plenty of charging stations at shopping centers, public garages, and even a few hotels.
Unless your entire itinerary fits neatly within a rideshare radius of ASU, the answer is a resounding yes. Tempe may have a light rail and buses, but the city's real gems (from Papago Park to the Desert Botanical Garden) shine brightest when you're exploring on your own terms. With car rental options in Tempe on Turo, you can choose the perfect vehicle and skip the rental counter shuffle entirely, whether you're exploring Tempe or heading out to nearby Chandler and Mesa.
