I had a fantastic experience renting from Pu. From the very beginning, she was prompt, professional, and extremely helpful. Communication was clear and fast, and she made the entire rental process smooth and stress-free.What really stood out was her understanding and flexibility. I requested a bit more time for my return, and she kindly granted me an additional two-hour window without hesitation. That level of customer care is rare and truly appreciated. The Prius I rented was in excellent condition very clean, well maintained, and ready to go. It drove perfectly smooth, and the fuel efficiency was impressive, making it an ideal choice for both city and highway driving. You can tell she takes great care of her vehicles. Overall, I highly recommend Pu to anyone using the Turo app. She is reliable, respectful, and goes above and beyond to make sure her guests have a positive experience. I would definitely rent from her again without hesitation.

I had a great experience renting Alvin’s Tesla. The car was clean, well maintained, and a pleasure to drive throughout my trip. Alvin was very flexible with my plans and made the whole rental process smooth and stress-free. Communication was excellent, and he was accommodating when my schedule changed. I would definitely rent from Alvin again and highly recommend both him and his Tesla to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable ride.
5⭐️ Alan is by far the best Turo host I have dealt with. He is extremely reliable and very quick to respond and makes sure everything is taken care of. Every time I have booked with him the cars have been very clean and I have had no issues at all. My most recent booking there was a problem where the car I booked was not returned by the previous customer. Alan went about and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, he gave me 4 different options for other cars I could take and they were all newer and double the price of the one I originally booked. I highly recommend anyone who needs to rent a vehicle to book with Alan.

Best car rental experience I've ever had, hands down! I was in a highly stressful situation, and Alan went above and beyond to help me out. He even picked up a charger for my phone as a good dude move. Alan has a warm personality, great enthusiasm for his work, and eager to go the extra mile to help. He has earned every bit of his excellent reputation. I will exclusively rent from Alan when I'm in Boston. 🔥🔥🔥

I’m not the type that says much but I must admit this is probably the best car rental service I’ve seen. Location was perfect, the car is brand new

Disclaimer: minor pickup location change, but actually for the better. Good host and car! It isn't flashy or huge, but it's extremely comfortable inside and drives incredibly well with its slick turbo FIVE-cylinder. Miles better than anything a rental agency would give you, I loved it. Communicative host about the changes and general process!

Great trip! Just what you’d expect from the price. The AC takes a while to kick in when it’s super hot out, and no real “extras” (no way to connect phone to car, no charger for phone, etc.) with this car, but exactly what I’d expect from the price. Easy pick up. Convenient. Ran well.
Good reliable clean car and easy reliable process. Price less than half of Boston airport rental car rates which have ridiculous fees
The car was exactly as described and was great fun to drive in the sunshine. Alan was a fantastic host, and the whole rental process was smooth and straightforward. I would highly recommend Alan’s Car Rentals to anyone visiting the Boston area or surrounding region.

The car was spotless, the pickup was easy, the host was very communicative and gave good informational guides for picking up Turos at Logan Airport. The car was also fairly priced and did in fact come with Full Self Driving (Monitored). Due to typical Boston Traffic, I was unable to charge the car in time for the return and I was charged a fair recharging price. Other hosts would have taken advantage of me in that instance. Given the chance I would definitely rent from this host again!
Host was amazing and car was great recommend everyone to do business here if looking for a car rental

Everything worked out great from start to finish and the price was much more affordable than a rental. I’ll be doing this again.

This host was AMAZING! I had an issue with another car and Alan and his rental absolutely came to my rescue. Communication was too notch- personal and pretty much instant every time. Would 100% rent from Alan and his folks here again, and already planning my next trip! Scott

Car was in great condition, clean, host was very easy to communicate with, pick up and drop off easy. Street parking easy, too.
I’m giving Terry a 5 star rating for his communication and support with the refund process. The car’s exterior is in good condition. However, the pictures of the car posted, are not images of the car you are renting. The interior looked like it had not been deep cleaned in a few years. There was years of build up in the console. There were stains on the passenger seat and driver seat. Additionally, the car was covered in dog hair and smelled as such. I had to cancel the reservation after discovering the car’s condition. While I understand the listing is at a reasonable price, the car’s condition clearly does not meet Toro’s rental community standards. For that reason, I was immediately refunded for the trip.

Great little car that’s perfect for a little trip. Tiny car, but great on gas mileage. Bunch of dings and dents when I got it, but it’s a rental ! Thanks again

Beautiful car , ran great . First time using turo. I would rent this car again on my return trip

Whether you’re heading straight for Boston's historical sites or road tripping down to Cape Cod, here’s everything you need to know. From parking insights to local road rules, these Boston car rental FAQs make driving stress-free.
For the most part, Boston follows the standard U.S. driving rules — seat belts are a must, obey traffic signals, use your blinkers, and always yield to pedestrians. The speed limit varies by road, but you’ll usually see 25 mph in city areas and up to 65 mph on highways. There’s also a “slow down, move over” law, which means if you see emergency vehicles pulled over, give them space and reduce your speed.
Like any big city, Boston can get congested, especially after corporate hours on major roads like the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90), Interstate 93, and Route 1A. Downtown streets can also feel tight. Boston’s older layout means narrow lanes, and your fair share of double-parked cars, especially in busy neighborhoods — leave a little extra time to get around.
Finally, if you're visiting between December and February, expect snow and ice to be part of the driving experience. The city does a solid job keeping main roads and highways clear with regular plowing and salting, but side streets can take a little longer to catch up. Even in spring or fall, rain or early frost can make things a bit slick. So if you’re renting a car, just keep an eye on the forecast and take it slow when needed.
With a variety of parking garages, street parking, and private lots available, Boston offers flexible parking options to make your visit smooth and enjoyable. Downtown Boston includes several well-maintained parking garages like the Boston Common Garage, Lafayette City Center Garage, and Post Office Square Garage — all conveniently situated near shopping centers, dining establishments, or transit hubs.
You’ll also find street parking and private lots around busy areas like Quincy Market, the North End, and the Theater District. Most street parking meters are enforced during typical corporate hours, Monday through Saturday, while evenings and Sundays often allow free parking — although check local signs as rules can vary.
Yes, some major roads in Boston have tolls, including the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) and the Sumner, Callahan, and Ted Williams Tunnels. These tolls mostly apply when entering or leaving the city.
Multiple gas stations are conveniently located throughout the city, with clusters near key Boston roads like Massachusetts Avenue and around Logan Airport — making it easy and convenient to refuel your rental car no matter where you’re headed.
For EV drivers, charging stations are widely available in downtown parking garages, including the Logan Airport Central and Economy Garages. You’ll also find public chargers along major highways and near popular shopping spots like the Seaport District and Back Bay.
Car rental in Boston lets you explore the city and beyond at your own pace.
