Hyundai rental in Tempe, AZ

I rented one of the cheapest cars available, and I’d say I got pretty much what I expected for the price. It’s a 2014 that feels like it’s lived hard, but it’s still out there doing exactly what it was made to do. It got me from the airport to Peoria and back, along with a couple trips to Chase Field, and was an inexpensive way to get around town. Pickup and drop-off were super simple, and the host was very responsive anytime I messaged. Just set your expectations accordingly with the car itself. This probably isn’t the car I’d choose if I were looking for a comfortable family ride or planning a long road trip like the Grand Canyon. It was great for a baseball showcase with my son though. It’s definitely showing its age in a number of ways. The A/C still blows cold, but it doesn’t have quite the cooling power of a newer car, so if temperatures are expected to be well over 100°, that’s something to keep in mind. If your priority is simply getting around town as cheaply as possible, though, it does the job. It’s an older, well-used car at a very low price, and I think that’s the right expectation going into the rental. My one complaint with the rental process was the expectation that the car be washed and vacuumed before returning it. They provide access to a car wash through their membership, so there’s no additional cost, but the return instructions do warn of a potential cleaning charge if it isn’t done. I would have preferred not to have to build a trip through the car wash into my return to the airport, so that’s something future renters should be aware of. Overall, the rental worked well for what I needed, the host was easy to work with, and I’d definitely look at renting from them again the next time I’m in Phoenix.

The car drove very smoothly, and the entire rental process was incredibly easy. I also loved not having to worry about a security deposit like with many other rental companies. I needed a rental because the A/C in my personal car stopped working, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. The A/C got ice cold even on the first fan setting, which was a huge plus in the Arizona heat! The owner was very kind, responsive, and quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. I would definitely rent from them again. 🙂

Car was very clean, drove great and very great on gas. Also the color was also nice. Only thing is I’d say all windows in AZ need to be slightly tinted. But other than that suggestion car was amazing, no issues and host was responsive, clear and concise. Will rent again for sure!

Jonathan’s Santa Fe’s was an excellent travel partner and ride for our family. There was one minor hiccup where the air pressure in the tires was significantly low when we started the trip, but Jonathan quickly responded and helped us fix it. Other than that, we really loved the clean and spacious interior. We had also rented a car seat for our toddler, which worked out well. Overall, highly recommend and will rent next time from him if we are in the area again!

This Turo rental was exactly what I needed for my trip to Phoenix. It was a reliable, dependable car that made it easy to get to the grocery store, grab coffee near our VRBO, and run errands around town. The vehicle was clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable driving experience. One tip for anyone renting a car in Phoenix: bring a windshield sunshade (sun visor) or order one ahead of time. The Arizona sun gets extremely hot, and it makes a huge difference in keeping the car cooler. I ended up ordering one from Amazon and having it delivered during my stay. The host was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout the rental process. Overall, I had a great experience and would absolutely rent from this host again the next time I'm in Phoenix. Highly recommended!

Great experience! The owners were very communicative and made the whole process easy. The car was clean, well-maintained, and drove really well. I had no issues with the car during my trip, and the gas mileage was great! I did have a little trouble locating the car when I first arrived, but that was not due to the instructions provided by the owner. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely rent from them again!
