Car rental near the Las Vegas Strip gives you the freedom to see far more than the neighborhood outside your hotel. The Strip itself is walkable, but a rental car unlocks everything beyond it — and booking one on Turo takes only a few minutes. You choose the exact vehicle you want, then pick it up when and where it suits your plans.
That freedom matters most once you look past the casinos. With a rental car ready, you can reach Red Rock Canyon in the morning and drive to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead by afternoon. Cap the day downtown at Fremont Street after dark. Rideshares to those spots add up fast, and their schedules rarely match yours.
Turo makes it simple to rent a car that fits the trip you're planning. You compare real listings by price, vehicle type, and rating, then arrange flexible pickup near your hotel or the airport. There's no counter line and no shuttle to an off-site lot.
Your reach extends well past the Strip, too. Browse Las Vegas car rental options across the metro area, or widen your search with Nevada car rental options for longer drives through the state.
A Las Vegas Strip trip can mean almost anything, from a family getaway to a milestone celebration. The right rental car shapes the whole experience. Load up for a day trip, or pull up to a big night out in something special. Whatever brings you to town, there's a vehicle on Turo to match it. Here are three common ways guests put their car rentals to work.

Enter a date and location in Las Vegas Strip, NV (or beyond), filter to find the best car for you, and read reviews from previous renters.

Rent a car nearby or get one delivered to various destinations, including many airports, train stations, hotels, or maybe even your home.

Your host sends you pickup details, and you’re all set to hit the roads of Las Vegas Strip, NV! If you have questions, you can easily chat with your host or contact support.

The car was just awesome everyone commented on it as far as the rental process was easy and host was very helpful. My wife and I had the best time thanks so much if we are back in Vegas we will be sure to rent again.
Rented this last minute because my Mom didn't tell me until the day before my trip that she had no car. Was pretty easy for the most part. Finding the shuttle at the airport for the car rental area, was a little difficult for me. But you can always ask someone at the airport. Then I followed Turo given directions to the car. It's outside of the rental area but still easy to find because the lot is literally labeled "Turo." As for the car, I DID NOT MIND these "problems" with the car at all, but you should be informed that the car: Cons - Smelled INTENSELY LIKE WEED. I tried to spray it with multiple Febreze, etc. It helped but it still stinks a bit. - The car door lock was extremely finicky, you must PRESS AND HOLD the button it seems. - Crumbs in the backseat (no big deal) - Not sure but seems like occasional light scraping sound sometimes when driving around on normal road. - Not a problem per se, but just know the car has quite a bit of scratches compared to other Turo rentals. Just be sure to document as much as you can. Pros - Good Value for the price - ICE COLD A/C. (Although I visited in winter, so idk how it holds up to the Vegas heat, but again better than my childhood cars with zero A/C) - Pretty quiet car overall (I mention the scrape for the owner to consider getting it checked out, but nothing to make you feel embarrassed while driving.) Overall, I grew up poor, and this car was much better than most of the ones of my childhood, so I didn't mind at all. Just tried my best to document them that's all. But anyone renting who these things might bother should be aware of it. Anyways, thank you so much Nick!!! I would definitely rent again!
If you come to Vegas and don’t rent a car from Blake and his team, you are making a big mistake. The car was great quality… It was everything that we wanted… He communicated with us in a timely fashion. I can’t say enough good things about how this all worked out for us. One thing to note, my wife, three days into the trip had a stroke… Blake and his team was very accommodating with drop off and helping me set up another rental… He and Jacqueline were awesome to us, and I’ll never forget how well he treated us in this time of need!
He was great . The car was clean as expected . He was the best person you can rent a car from . Everything was so easy . 10/10. I would recommend him to anyone.
Alvin has been the best host I have ever worked with. He is very accommodating and his communication is outstanding. The car itself was clean and was delivered ahead of scheduled. Fir anyone reading this rating, I highly recommend him to anyone needing a car rental.
Amazing deal! Basically the same price as a rental from the big name rental companies but you get a drop top ‘Stang! When I’m back in town I will definitely be back to rent from here! Thank you!

Great experience renting from Patrick! The BMW M440i was a pleasure to drive, ran beautifully, and made our time in Vegas even more enjoyable. Pickup was seamless, the car was easy to locate, and drop-off was just as convenient. Patrick made the entire rental process simple and hassle-free. Would absolutely rent from him again and highly recommend!
The car was impeccable and imperfect running order. The host was great with communication and I would definitely rent a car from him again.
Great experience! The car was clean, reliable, and very fuel-efficient. The AC worked perfectly, which was a big plus in the Nevada heat. The host was super friendly and accommodating, checked in to see if everything was okay, and even offered to extend our reservation. Would definitely rent from him again!

The car works great. Las Vegas airport car rental situation is a mess. If the car would have been at the airport it would have been worth it. The car was great. No problems. I doubt I will do it again. Time to figure out a new option for car rentals. Turo used to leave it at the airport.

An amazing experience with Daddy Duck Car Rental! Host was very responsive, the Car was clean and it was great to drive thru Vegas on it. 100/100

Car was nice, clean, easy to get around in and very comfortable. Our host was wonderful in commutation and had very easy instructions to follow. It was a great addition for my trip in sightseeing adventures and getting around the Vegas Strip. I couldn’t have asked for a better vehicle, price, and most of all service.
Professional, prompt, friendly-everything you want in a car rental company!!!!

Car was in fantastic shape and great host service from start to end. Easy in and out from Rental Car Center. Well detailed on all steps. Thanks!
Rent a car and explore Las Vegas Strip, NV

Red Rock Canyon sits about 20 minutes west of the Strip, and it trades neon for red sandstone cliffs and desert quiet. The 13-mile scenic loop drive is the easy highlight — big views without a full hike. The loop requires a timed-entry reservation during peak months, so book ahead and go early to beat the heat and the crowds.
Hoover Dam is roughly 40 minutes southeast via US-93 — close enough for an easy half-day outing. An on-site parking garage keeps the visit simple, and your own car lets you set the timing instead of waiting on a tour. It's also a natural launch point for a Lake Mead detour on the way back.
Fremont Street sits about 15 minutes north in downtown Las Vegas, and it's the heart of classic old-Vegas charm. You'll find the famous overhead canopy, vintage casinos, and street performers filling the promenade after dark. Downtown parking garages make an evening visit simple, so you can park once and wander at your own pace.

Family sightseeing and day trips call for space and comfort, especially with kids and luggage along for the ride. A roomy SUV rental in Las Vegas keeps everyone comfortable on the drive to Red Rock Canyon or Hoover Dam. If it's a couples trip, a convertible rental in Las Vegas turns a desert cruise into part of the fun.
Weddings, birthdays, and headline shows deserve an entrance to remember. Book a luxury and exotic rentals option to pull up to the venue in something special. If you're traveling with a larger group, a minivan rental in Las Vegas keeps everyone together and on time.
Extended stays and work trips are easier when your ride is settled for the whole visit. A long-term car rental covers weeks or months at a time, so you skip the hassle of rebooking every few days. It's a practical fit for remote workers, snowbirds, and anyone spending a while in the valley.

Forget the traditional rental counters. On Turo, you can have a car delivered right to you. Whether you're arriving at the airport, staying at a local hotel, or beginning your trip from downtown, Turo offers flexible options to match your schedule and make pickup hassle-free.
Harry Reid International Airport is the primary fly-in hub, sitting just five miles from the Strip — so pickup can be quick after you land. You can arrange delivery to the airport area and have a car waiting. That means you skip the shuttle-and-counter routine and start your trip the moment you grab the keys.
Staying on the Strip makes hotel delivery the easiest choice for many guests. You can arrange to have a car brought to your hotel or resort, so you start driving on your own schedule. There's no detour to a rental office and no time lost between check-in and your first outing.
If you're staying just outside the Strip, delivery still keeps things convenient. Look into car rental in Henderson if your base is southeast of town, near the quieter suburbs and shopping districts. Guests on the north side can check North Las Vegas rentals for options closer to home.

Next time you fly, don’t wait in line and fill out forms — pick your car up at hundreds of popular airports.
Rather than hustling at the busy terminal curbside, take your time picking up the car at approved parking lots or garages. Check in, load up your luggage, and get comfortable with the car without a big rush.
Skip the rental car counter at hundreds of popular airports without waiting in line or filling out paperwork. Find and pick up the car with the app and hit the road in no time.
Cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours before your trip starts, unless you opt to receive a non-refundable trip discount when you book. Because life happens and it helps to be flexible when it does.

A little local know-how goes a long way here. Keep these points in mind before you set out with your rental car.
Strip traffic gets heavy on evenings and weekends, so build in extra time if you're heading to a show or dinner. I-15 and US-95 are faster alternatives for crossing town or reaching the highways out of the valley. Desert summer heat is no joke, so keep water in the car and watch your fuel and tire pressure.
Many Strip resorts charge for both self-parking and valet, and those fees add up over a multi-day stay. Some off-Strip properties still offer free parking, which is worth checking when you book your hotel. Garages fill quickly on big event weekends, so arrive early or plan an alternative when a major show or fight is in town.
Good news here: Las Vegas and the rest of Nevada have no toll roads. You won't deal with tolls, transponders, or surprise fees while driving locally, so you can focus on the route ahead.
Fill up off-Strip, where gas stations are plentiful and prices tend to be lower than near the resorts. Top off before any long desert day trip, since stations thin out once you leave the metro area. EV charging is widely available around town, and you can book an electric vehicle rental in Las Vegas if you'd rather plug in than pump.
The Strip is walkable, but a car is well worth it if you want to see more than the resorts. Renting one lets you reach Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and other day trips without stacking up pricey rideshare fares. For anyone planning to explore beyond the casinos, the freedom and savings quickly pay off.
You'll need a valid driver's license and a Turo account in good standing. Booking happens in the app, where you upload your details and confirm your trip before pickup. Have your license ready, since you'll verify it as part of getting approved to drive.
You'll need a valid, government-issued driver's license to book and drive. Visitors from outside the US can generally drive with a license from their home country. An international driving permit helps if your license isn't in English. Check the specific listing and requirements in the app before you book.
Guests must be at least 18 in the US to book a trip, though some vehicles and categories have higher minimum ages. Younger drivers may see age-based fees or limited access to premium listings. The app shows the requirements for each car, so review them before you reserve.
When you book, you choose from protection plans Turo offers during checkout, each with different levels of coverage and pricing. You can compare the options in the app and pick the one that fits your trip and budget. Review the details at checkout so you know exactly what your plan includes.
Yes, many trips qualify for savings, and the best deals often come from booking longer. Weekly and monthly rates are typically lower per day than daily pricing, so a longer trip can stretch your budget further. Compare listings in the app to spot the strongest value for your dates.
Yes, long-term rentals are available and popular with guests planning an extended stay. A long-term car rental covers weeks or months on one booking, which suits work trips and longer visits to the valley. Monthly rates usually bring the per-day cost down compared with a short rental.
Some listings include unlimited distance, while others set a mileage limit with a fee for extra miles. If you're planning long desert drives to Hoover Dam or beyond, filter for higher or unlimited mileage. Each listing spells out its mileage terms, so check before you book.
Yes, you can add an approved additional driver to your trip. Make the change yourself in the Turo app, where the extra driver submits their details for approval before the trip starts. Handling it in the app keeps everyone properly covered and cleared to drive.
Prices vary by vehicle type, dates, and how far ahead you book, so there's no single flat rate. An everyday sedan costs less per day than a luxury car or large SUV, and longer trips lower the per-day price. Compare live listings in the app to find the best fit for your budget.
You'll find a wide range of vehicles to match any Las Vegas Strip trip. Here are the main categories to browse:
Cars — everyday sedans and hatchbacks that are easy to park and light on gas.
SUVs — roomy, comfortable rides with space for passengers and luggage.
Minivans — extra seats and cargo room for larger groups and families.
Convertibles — open-top cruisers made for sunny desert drives.
Luxury and exotic cars — standout vehicles for special occasions and big nights out.
Electric vehicles — efficient EVs with charging available across the metro area.
Yes, monthly rentals are available for guests settling in for a while. A long-term car rental booked by the month usually offers the lowest per-day rate, which makes it a smart choice for extended stays. Browse monthly listings in the app to compare vehicles and pricing.
Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host's vehicle would kick in before your protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. In the US, liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host's vehicle.
For questions or information about the third party liability insurance that is included in protection plans, consumers in Maryland and the licensed states listed here may contact Turo Insurance Agency at (415) 508-0283 or claims@turo.agency. For questions about how damage to a host's vehicle is handled, visit the Turo Support site.
