This was my first car rental using this app, and by far, it is the best car rental service offered. Jorge is absoluting the best host to rent from! The vehicle I rented was in excellent condition, very well maintained, clean inside and out, and problem free!! In fact, it was much more than I was expecting for the price I paid!! If anyone is needing a rental in Salt Lake, Jorge is the one that will hook you up!! I know I will be hitting Jorge up for my future car rentals!!
Easy car to use. In great condition. Daniel communicated well. I was able to take out more insurance from him and prepay for gas which was nice. The rental price was good. Only issue was the parking ticket at the airport was an additional $20 -the car was parked there 6 hours before my pickup time at a hourly rate.
Host was very helpful in guiding me where to get the car. The car was good on gas and only took $26 to fill up even with gas prices the way they are now. It’s enough to get around salt lake for the weekend. Id rent it again.

The car is old but does the trick. It got us safely where we needed to go and for much cheaper than the other rental companies. When we had issues with the key at the start Andres was responsive and helped fix the problem as quickly as his team could.

Per usual, another great rental. Clean car, smooth ride, easy pickup/drop-off, and zero issues the entire trip. Definitely one of the most reliable rental partners I’ve had. Would absolutely rent again.

The host was incredibly considerate and he has had one of the best communications with me and I have rented over 400 cars. We had an incident where my mother backed into the rental car we were doing and he was so very helpful and patient. So easy to work with when helping to figure out what the next steps were in something like that happening to a rental car. Thanks Brandon!

Very good comms, easy pickup/dropoff, and this small hybrid was good for dealing with high gas prices (averaged 40 MPG). There was damage to the car (cracked windshield) but it was well documented and wasn’t an issue. I appreciated the generous mileage allowance, since we drove all over Utah. Definitely recommend.
Good price, easy pickup/dropoff less than 10 minutes from airport. Car worked well. Included an cigarette lighter adapter, bring your own USB cable for charging.

First time renting a EV and was very happy with the experience. Car handled very very well and Brent was a fantastic communicator the whole experience. The learning curve of when and where to charge was adequate in my experience but it does take some extra forethought. But give how much gas prices are I would say I saved money by renting this car compared to combustion engines. We opted to uber to and from the airport which was cheaper than the additional fees for pickup/drop off at the airport. Brent knows what he is doing and will absolutely rent from him again on my next trip to SLC

This was my first Turo experience, and couldn’t have gone easier. Such an amazing host! The car was in perfect condition and was able to help us on our vacation. Will rent from them again.

Great was great! We had such a fun girls trip in the best car! Host was awesome, answered all of my questions and was very helpful the whole time! Highly recommend!!!

Best car rental, easy pick up and drop off, super clean!! Gas saver!!

Easy to pick up, seamless reservation, everything worked out perfectly! The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with as well.

Hands down the best Turo/Car Rental experience I have ever had. I have rented standard and high end vehicles around the globe. Utah Auto Gallery delivered an immaculate Aston Martin on time to my hotel. Wonderful service and also was given some recommendations for routes and places to see. Bonus, outstanding local restaurant recommendations that were spot on.
Car was fantastic. Clean, reliable and perfect for our trip. Would definitely use Parker again for our next trip to SLC!
Clean car, wonderful hosts! They made our trip easier. Great directions for pickup and drop off.
Sarah was very responsive and the car was perfect for the trip! The car was clean and the instructions she provided were crystal clear. Would definitely recommend.

The car was clean, filled with gas and the host was very responsive to questions. We would definitely rent this car again. Thank you, Erick!

Understanding a few key parking tips, local road rules, and the Utah Administrative Code will ensure your car rental experience in Salt Lake City is smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable from start to finish.
Driving in Salt Lake City means sticking to clear speed limits — generally 25 mph in the city and up to 75 mph on highways. Basic road rules apply — it's the renter's responsibility to wear seat belts, keep right unless passing, and always yield to pedestrians.
If you’re renting a car, be mindful of rush hour and high seasonal demand traffic — particularly along the I-15 corridor, main streets in downtown SLC, or busy spots like Cottonwood Canyons during weekends and its ski season. Planning your trips around these times can help you avoid delays and enjoy a smoother drive.
Winter driving in Utah comes with its own challenges. The state’s Traction Law requires drivers to have proper tires or chains in certain areas during snowy conditions — especially in the mountains. Slowing down, keeping extra distance, and carrying emergency supplies will make your journey safer and more comfortable. Drive smart, and enjoy everything Salt Lake City and its beautiful surroundings have to offer!
Salt Lake City is fantastic for parking — from immediate Airport locations and beyond. Downtown parking areas boast a significant amount of parking spots across garages, lots, and inner streets. Whether hitting up a Utah Jazz game or some of the best restaurants in the area, there is enough parking to go around. Popular downtown parking garages include:
- City Creek Center at 50 South Main Street
- Regent Street Garage at 119 South Regent Street
- Utah Center Parking at 201 South Main Street
Other spaces across SLC with roughly the same amount of easy, accessible parking include Salt Palace Convention Center, Temple Square, Mountain America Exposition Center, and even Liberty Park.
No, Salt Lake City has no toll roads.
Salt Lake City has many gas stations conveniently located along major roads, highways, and commercial hubs. Most are clustered near busy intersections and freeway exits, making it easy to refuel without going out of your way.
There are also plenty of EV charging stations spread across Salt Lake City, so you’ll rarely be far from one — especially in urban or commercial areas. Popular EV charger spots include:
- Cinemark, 125 East 3300 South
- Sam's Club
- Public Use Sugar House
- 1050 East South Temple
- 7-Eleven, Canyon Rim
To truly get the best out of Salt Lake City, renting a car is essential — especially if you want to hit the mountains with all your ski gear! For a stress-free, easy journey, public transportation cannot be solely responsible for your schedule. On Turo's marketplace, you can pick the exact vehicle that suits your needs, whether you want a specific vehicle condition or the perfect applicable AWD option for snowy adventures. Plus, without a traditional rental car return area, the experience is even better — pickup and drop-off happen wherever is most convenient for you. Just leave the keys in a drop box or with your host — seamless and hassle-free!
