Christina was a very nice host who took the time to educate me about the vehicle since it was my first time driving a Tesla. The vehicle itself was in fantastic shape and very clean and was a pleasure to drive. I would highly recommend this host if you are looking for a vehicle in the Ogden area.

Hyundai Elantra GT 2014

We've had several problems with this vehicle, starting with the tires that was reimbursed for the tow and inconvenience there, and now it's having problems with going over 60 Miles an hour but it has been filled and dropped off. Thank you, Michael, for all your assistance. Would I rent from you again? Probably? But I'd probably make sure the car is working properly beforehand. 5 stars for the communication help getting back on the road after the tire issues

Top tips for driving in Layton

A few practical notes to help you get around Layton and Davis County smoothly:

Road rules

Utah uses right-turn-on-red unless posted otherwise, and allows U-turns at most intersections where it's safe. Speed limits on I-15 through this area are typically 70 mph. Watch for variable speed zones in construction areas.

Parking

Parking in Layton is generally free and plentiful. Shopping centers, restaurants, and attractions have large lots. Downtown Layton and Main Street have street parking and small lots, with no meters in most areas.

Toll roads

Utah has no toll roads, so you won't need a transponder or toll account while driving around Layton or the Wasatch Front.

Gas and EV charging

Gas stations are easy to find along I-15 and major roads like Layton Parkway and Hillfield Road. EV charging stations are available at several locations in Layton, including near Layton Hills Mall and along the I-15 corridor. Check your car's range and plan charging stops if you're heading to remote areas like Antelope Island.

Do you need a car in Layton

Layton is a suburban city spread along the I-15 corridor, and public transit options are limited compared to Salt Lake City. If you're planning to visit attractions, hike in the canyons, or explore beyond downtown, a car makes your trip significantly easier. For quick errands or staying local, rideshare can work — but for flexibility, a rental car is the practical choice.
