Great communication.
This was the worst rental experience ever. I'd consider changing my review if things are made right. The host was not present for the check-in. The owner's 80 year old father was sent to the airport instead. His phone was dead and unable to get in contact. His iPad was also almost dead too. He had difficulty checking the vehicle out to me. I had to teach him how to access the Turo app, Tesla app, odometer, etc. I felt bad for the gentleman not knowing how he was going to get home and let him call his wife on my phone. Then he asked me to drive him an hour out of my way to Salt Lake City and drop him off at midnight. I had to help him get in touch with his wife again so he wouldn't be homeless that night. I got to my lodging 2 hours late because of how long it took to find the host, check-in, and driving him around the city.
The vehicle smelled of smoke and mildew. There were so many parental controls on the vehicle, the vehicle to chime even if I was driving below the speed limit, I was unable to access any of the arcade, see if pet mode was on via the app, etc. The driver seat was falling apart, the windows and screen were dirty.
I charged the vehicle for free at ChargePoint chargers throughout the trip. 36 hours after the trip ended, I was charged $33.75 for Tesla Supercharging I did not complete. The invoices were dated for dates/times I did not even have the vehicle checked out and for cities I've never been to.
The owner of this vehicle needs to manage the Turo rentals himself instead of asking his 80 year old father to do it, and the charging invoices need to be corrected.
