Dodge Charger 2019

This has been a great Turo experience. Brandon is an exceptional host. The car was ready for pick-up and he was there to answer any questions and to show me around the vehicle. The car was clean, smelled great, and everything worked very well. It’s hot in Utah during the summer months, and the air-conditioner kept my wife nice and cool in the passenger seat. I rented the car while my truck got the air conditioner fixed. So that helped a lot. I gave Brandon 5 stars as a host because he exceeded my expectations. I never had to reach out twice because any questions I had were answered promptly. I had to extend the trip by a day and he took care of that with no problem. The drop-off was easy because he included the instructions. There is not one single negative thing I can say, everything was perfect!

Dodge Charger 2019

I had a great experience renting this car. It was actually an old police vehicle, which made the whole trip pretty unique and fun. I even had a couple of cops wave at me while driving it, which was a cool and unexpected bonus. The host was easy to communicate with, the pickup and drop-off process was smooth, and everything was exactly as described. The car itself ran well and definitely turned some heads. Overall, a really memorable rental—would definitely rent again!

Top tips for renting a car in Ogden

Book early if you're planning to visit during ski season or one of Ogden's many festivals. Whatever you rent, make sure you're comfortable behind the wheel — Ogden's roads are well maintained, but it's a city made for drivers.

What are the road rules and driving conditions in Ogden?

The street grid makes navigating Ogden easy, but be ready for weather shifts — snow in winter, slick roads in spring. Speeds range from 25 mph in neighborhoods to 70 mph on the highways. In winter, choose a rental with good tires and take elevated roads slowly, since they ice first.

What is parking like in Ogden?

Most parking in Ogden is free or low cost, though you'll find some metered spots downtown. You won't struggle to find a space — unless it's a festival weekend in an entertainment district. Just pay close attention to posted signs.

Are there toll roads in Ogden?

Good news — you won't deal with toll roads in and around Ogden, so you can drive freely without worrying about passes or scanners.

Are there gas stations and EV chargers in Ogden?

Need to fuel up? You won't have to look far, especially along Washington Boulevard and near the freeway. EV chargers are increasingly common too, though they're still mostly clustered around downtown and commercial areas.

Do I need to rent a car in Ogden?

Definitely. Ogden has a walkable downtown, but public transit is limited beyond that. To reach museums, catch a concert, find a restaurant, or make a quick trip down to Salt Lake City, a rental keeps things flexible.

What car types can you rent in Ogden?

You'll find practical picks like compact and midsize sedans for city driving, along with AWD SUVs that handle snowy winter months with room for gear and passengers. Traveling as a group? Minivans are a comfortable choice for families and longer trips.

How much does it cost to rent a car in Ogden?

Prices vary by car type, trip length, extras, and delivery. For a better rate, look for discounts on longer bookings and reserve early — especially around ski season and festival weekends.

Airport pickup in Ogden

Most visitors fly into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), about 35 miles south of Ogden, while Ogden-Hinckley (OGD) handles general aviation closer to town. Book a car on Turo for pickup near the terminal and drive straight to Ogden — no counter lines, no shuttle waits.
