Excellent trip in Dave’s BMW complete with friendly conversation during the airport pickup.
Gustavo's vehicle and service were excellent! Gustavo communicated often and provides a whole extra level of service. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend!
Had Shauntei's car for a full week in Maui and was the perfect vehicle for getting around the island in style.
I ended up mixing up the drop off time on my end and ended up getting the car back about an hour late and she was very understanding and kind about the whole thing. 10/10, would definitely recommend
The car was great and we really appreciated Bethany dropping it off at the airport!
Gustavo was an exceptional host and made every possible accommodation to make our trip easy and painless, particularly as it was our first experience with Turo. As it relates to this vehicle, here are a few pro tips if you are renting it in Maui: 1. Plugshare is an application that will show you updated data of EV charging stations (i.e., their location, rates, current status, and availability). This will be your best friend. 2. There are only 5 fast charging stations on the island as of this comment. Make certain that you either have access to a DC 120V outlet at your resort/lodging, or that you are an EXCELLENT planner. 3. This is the BEV model, not the REX (range extender) so it only uses battery and no gas. The range is 81 miles but is very sensitive to elevation. Going from Kihei to Kahului and Haiku etc. leaves you with 40-50 miles of range on a full charge, but going back to Kihei actually charges the battery using kinetic energy (we traveled 50 miles on a "9 mile" remaining charge going from Keokea to Kihei). Again, make sure you are an excellent planner! 4. The air conditioning is limited and drains the battery fast. Be wary of the heat! Otherwise, this is an extremely affordable and fun method of transport.
Gus was so incredibly accommodating to our needs and requests . Drop off and pick up where a breeze… this whole transaction was a blessing!
Very helpful host, had good tips on where to charge and let us borrow a very long extension cable
