Clean car, runs well and did what we needed for the trip! Easy pick up and return.

★★★★★ The Kia Forte was absolutely perfect for our Hawaii trip! The car was immaculately clean and in excellent condition - exactly what we needed for exploring the island. What really stood out was the exceptional host service. Without us even asking, they delivered the car right to a location convenient for us, which saved us so much time and hassle. Their communication was consistently prompt and responsive, making the entire rental process incredibly smooth from start to finish. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and would definitely book this vehicle again on our next visit. For anyone considering a rental in Hawaii, I highly recommend this host and vehicle for a stress-free experience. Thank you for helping make our vacation so enjoyable!

Fantastic! We had a great time. Car was updated and clear. Super easy pick up and drop off process

Great communication and clear instructions. Very gracious and beautiful car that fit every one of my needs. There was also a little complimentary gift. Great!

Car was perfect for cruising the island and allowed us to explore. Location is convenient. Check in and check out were super easy and the host was very responsive.

This car was amazing, quick and easy pickup! The host, Hans, was simply the best, super friendly and accommodating! We thoroughly enjoyed this rental! Highly recommend!
Great service with Maui Budget Cars and trouble free rental of vehicle. Will use again in the future
Appreciate you mantra about the sandiness, theme of the whole weekend! Thanks y’all
The vehicle is in like new condition. The owner is a wonderful person and an absolute pleasure to interact with.

The car was clean and a reasonable price. I recommend booking an uber in advance before you land or get the airport shuttle with these guys because it was very hard to get an uber for some reason at 3pm.

Daniel was great and very responsive throughout the trip. The key fob died mid trip and he delivered a replacement within 15 minutes. Convertible is a must for road to Hana and driving up the coast to kaanapali as well. Great car for the price!

OGG may be bustling, but that doesn't mean you're stuck standing in line at the airport car rental counter for hours. Many local hosts arrange airport drop-off and options for pickup. It's a smart move when the last thing you want is to hang indoors after a long flight. Vehicles with in-person pickup requirements will be located in Row H of the Main Parking Lot, while all others are in the West Parking Lot's Rows A-D.
South Kihei Road is a logical place to pick up your Maui car rental. You're close to shops, gas, and lots of free parking, and many hosts have rental vehicles nearby. Plus, it's a walkable stretch of town, so you can enjoy the local sights before the quick and stress-free handoff.
If you're staying farther inland by the Pi'ilani corridor, you have plenty of options to pick up a rental car. This is an ideal spot for renters looking for a low-key exchange or who are ready to head upcountry.

Pickup near or at Airports
Kihei is small but mighty, spreading out for miles and miles. From Sugar Beach to Wailea and every destination in between, a Kihei rental car keeps you from depending on limited transit and expensive rideshares that disappear during rush hour. Here's how you can keep your drive stress-free:
Driving in Kihei is mostly relaxed — the locals don't speed much, and travelers shouldn't either. Expect speed limits to be around 25 mph in residential areas and up to 45 mph on major roads, including Pi'ilani Highway. Watch out for sudden slowdowns near beach entrances.
Tourist traffic can get thicker during check-in/check-out hours, and sometimes visitors arrive unpredictably. It may not always be practical, but avoiding peak beach traffic hours around 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. will eliminate most problems. That said, Kihei's roads are well-kept, and it's a friendly place to drive.
Parking in Kihei is a mixed bag. Most condo rentals and shopping centers have free parking, but beach access lots usually fill up well before the afternoon. On-street parking is available, but there may be tight spots and other restrictions. When in doubt, arrive early and be ready to walk an extra couple of blocks.
Currently, there are no toll roads anywhere in the state of Hawaii. No tolls, no passes, no fees, no worries. Just drive and enjoy the view.
Gas stations are easy to find along South Kihei Road and by highway entrances. Prices are higher than you'd see on the mainland, so it's a good idea to top off just before returning your Maui car rental. EV chargers are also available, but they're limited — don't count on overnight charging at every location.
Unless you're limiting yourself to a resort on the beach, a Kihei car rental will substantially improve your trip. Most of the town's best food, snorkeling spots, and shopping centers are spread across several miles. Plus, Kihei's climate means walking quickly turns into a hot, slow march — a car keeps things cool.
