Nissan rental in Lihue, HI

Communication was great and the truck was the perfect vehicle for the island. I would rent this car again, anytime!

I had never booked with Turo before. I was really glad I did when another traveler in our group waited over 45 minutes at the car rental agency to pick up their car. it took me a few minutes to take all the pictures and get going, but it was much less than 45 min!!! I loved the Nissan Rogue. It was very comfortable and great on gas. The return was easy as well, taking pictures and putting the key in the lock box. The shuttle to the airport ran every 20-25 minutes, so I didn't have a long wait. Definitely would use them again.

Communication between us and owner was good. Directions were clear and concise. Car was in good condition and clean. Did not have to wait in a long line at the traditional car rental businesses and was an advantage to choose a model we felt comfortable driving. Returning the car was easy. We had issues uploading the pictures of the car - might have taken too many and that was the problem. Did fine with that on the return. Our biggest issue was getting on the Turo van at the airport. There is no marked “Turo” spot. The van pulled up and did not park in a designated parking spot. People made a mad dash for the van - a free for all. We didn’t make the cut even tho we were one of the first people there, and had to wait for a second van. The second van backed into a parking spot and we were able to make that ride. A good experience for our first use of Turo.

The car was exactly what we were hoping for and fit our family's needs well at a great price. Michael was easy to work with, too, and that he included a little cooler for us was so helpful, and one of those things we didn't know we needed until it was there for us to use. We look forward to our next visit and working with Michael to have a good car ready for us when we get there!

We enjoyed exploring Kauai in the Nissan Kick! All instructions were very clear, pick up and drop off made simple - the airport shuttle was very convenient, the vehicle was clean, drove smoothly, good on gas, and was comfortable. Picking up the car at the turo lot was easy and the car was able to fit two full size suitcases plus a carry-on suitcase and two backpacks in the trunk. Great gas mileage and clean. Great communication. Easy to extend our trip a half hour due to flight changes and allowed us to turn the car back in a little bit later than planned. Overall a great experience and would rent from again.

Richard and Stan were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to make our trip easy and enjoyable. Richard was able to pick us up from the airport and drive us to the Turo lot where the car was waiting for us. On the way, he even gave us a brief tour of Lihue and shared some helpful local information, which was a great way to start our vacation. The car was reliable and got us everywhere we wanted to go across the island during our 8-day stay without any issues. One note is that the AUX connection didn’t work, but it wasn’t a problem for us since we brought a portable speaker and used that whenever we wanted to listen to our own music. Returning the car at the end of our trip was also very convenient. The Turo lot made the drop-off process simple, and it was easy to get back to the airport using the Turo shuttle, which picks up from the lot about every 20–25 minutes. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely book the Nissan with Richard and Stan again.

I rented a Nissan for my trip and everything was perfectly fine. The car was in great condition, the pickup process was smooth, and I was especially surprised by how low the fuel consumption was, which was a big plus. Overall, a very good experience and I would definitely rent again.

This car was great. We drove around the island and still only used half a tank of gas. The AC was great, lights worked perfectly, and the car ride was smooth. Only downside was that there was no navigation that came onto the car screen, so i had to keep looking at the phone for directions. Aside from that I would definitely rent this car again!
