Subaru rental in Lihue, HI

Everything went great with the rental. The truck we had originally rented was not going to be available due to that rental driver being injured. Kevin was great in communicating this and offering us an alternative car which was a 2026 Subaru. We were concerned because we had a rentes a truck in order to hold surfboards and gear. Kevin made sure to include roof racks for us so we could travel with surfboards. The car had less than 800 miles on it when we got it so it was literally brand new. We will definitely rent from Turo again!

I rented Chris's subaru forester for 15 days in Kauai in late May 2026. The car was exactly as described. It was clean and ran well. I'm glad it had storm mats as that made it easier to get sand out before I returned it (we went to the beach every day) The shuttle to and from the airport to the car parking lot by Target was easy to use and Chris was very responsive throughout the booking process and before/during the rental. I highly recommend using this vehicle. It was also nice to blend in with the locals in Kauai.

We rented the Subaru Ascent from Brent. The car was very nice, very clean and was a very smooth ride. We ubered directly to the car from the airport and Brent immediately reimbursed the cost of the Uber via Venmo. He showed us some of the features of the car and sent us a list of places to see, hikes, and restaurant recommendations. Communication was very good before, during, and at the end of the trip. We will definitely rent from him again when we come back to the island. Mahalo!

Is was so easy to get the car and begin our holiday compared to the standard car rental places where the wait in line to get the car and the wait for the car to be ready to leave. In the past it was never less than 45 minutes from getting on the shuttle and leaving with the car. Turo had only a brief wait for the shuttle and no wait to get the car, so easy. The car was very clean and performed well for our three weeks holiday. The return of the car was just as easy. Put in a parking spot and wait 10 minutes for the shuttle.

Aloha I needed a car for just a few days, Melvin's Subaru was perfect for the island. Was easy to catch Turo shuttle from airport and back, very short trip. Melvin met me while returning car and was great to meet him! I'll rent from him again next visit.

We rented a car from Brent last year, and had such a great experience that we knew we'd be coming back for our trip this year. Everything went great! The car was clean and ready, communication was super easy, and each time I drove past where I used to rent from the big chain companies, I remembered how glad I was not to be dealing with them anymore. 100% recommend renting from Brent.

Wonderful car and hosts - everything went smoothly, and I would definitely rent again! Not to do with hosts, but pro tip: note the Turo lot is a 10-15 minute ride from the airport and shuttle only comes every 25 minutes, so allow a LOT of extra time to get to/from the airport and you’ll be fine!
