Minivan rental at Honolulu International Airport

Again, this is the first time we’ve used Turo. We were pleased with our initial rental price and host. Unfortunately our first reservation was cancelled due to damage to the vehicle the night before we were scheduled to pick up our van. Luckily we were able to rent a similar vehicle with the same price but a different host. The second vehicle had mechanical issues so we needed to cancel this vehicle and were given a second vehicle under this reservation. Our host. Matt, was great. He met us at the airport and introduced himself and gave us an overview of the initial vehicle. He was prompt and informative with the replacement vehicle. We had a replacement vehicle in less than 12 hours. Initially we were thinking what are we doing trying some different for a rental car, but quickly changed our minds. The pickup and drop offs were simple and we were given very, very detailed instructions. We will definitely use Turo in the future.

Overall good experience with Shane. The van did have an issue with the lift trunk but was made aware of it before pickingit up. Also one of the headlights was not functioning but Shane did his best to address the issue and correct it.

Robert was an outstanding Turo host — professional, friendly, and incredibly easy to work with. Communication was excellent from start to finish; he always responded promptly and clearly, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. When we arrived in Honolulu, we messaged Robert after landing and again after picking up our baggage. Once we let him know the column number where we were waiting, he met us right at the curb of the airport. It was a seamless and super convenient process! He greeted us with a warm welcome, explained a few of the car’s basic functions, and handed over the keys — we were off on our Oahu adventures within minutes. The car itself was spotless upon pickup and has clearly been very well maintained — it felt almost like new! It was much nicer than the worn-out rentals we’ve received in the past from the big-name car rental companies. We made sure to treat Robert’s car respectfully and do our best to return it in the same condition. That said, we did explore quite a bit of the island, so some sand and dirt inevitably came along for the ride (sorry, Robert!). At the end of our trip, we met Robert at his home, and he and his wife kindly let us follow them back over to our airport terminal to our drop-off location to retrieve their car. Just like pickup, the return process was simple, flexible, and stress-free. Robert was accommodating to our needs and requests throughout the entire rental process, and his thoughtful service made a great impression. I HIGHLY recommend renting from him if you’re looking for a clean, reliable vehicle and an all-around excellent rental experience in Honolulu. We would absolutely rent from Robert again on our next trip to Oahu!

This was a very reliable vehicle with extraordinarily great bonus of boogie boards rented with it for a great price! Vehicle was clean and had no issues our whole trip! Highly recommend!

Great experience overall! The Sienna was clean, comfortable, spacious, and in great condition. The hybrid was a huge bonus, especially with Hawaii’s expensive gas prices. We drove quite a bit and definitely saved money on gas. Perfect vehicle for our family trip!

Our host was very accommodating. I had made a minor mistake in my reservation and he helped me through it. Quick response time on any and all questions. I would absolutely rent from him again.

Received a last minute message from the host that their car detailer couldn't detail the van due to a family emergency. Not a big deal, the van was pretty clean. It was newer, pretty strong, easy to drive, and had all of the amenities needed including Bluetooth connection. Overall, it met our needs nicely as we had 6 adults and luggage. If you’re heading to Oahu and need a reliable, roomy, and hassle-free vehicle, stop scrolling and book with Karrie. Hands down, this was the best Turo experience we’ve ever had. We rented Karrie’s 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan for our family trip, and it was everything we needed and more. It comfortably fit our crew and handled the island like a champ from the historic grounds of Pearl Harbor to the peaceful sands of Lanikai Beach, the family-friendly vibe at Paradise Cove, and the breathtaking views of Sunset Beach. But what truly made this experience exceptional was Karrie herself. She’s not just a host, she’s a vacation lifesaver. Her communication was fast, clear, and genuinely caring. She went above and beyond to make our arrival and departure seamless. Traveling with family can be stressful, but Karrie helped take all the worry out of transportation. She was thoughtful, professional, and full of aloha spirit. Thanks to her, we could focus on making memories instead of managing logistics. The only downside? The week flew by way too fast, and it was hard to give the keys back. We will 1000% rent from Karrie again and recommend her to absolutely anyone visiting the island. Oz is an incredible host and was extremely flexible and accommodating for us! The Buzz is an excellent vehicle for a family trip and extremely easy and fun to drive. Added bonus is everyone smiles when they see you go by. Charging was also simple and straightforward on the island and never had any issues or range anxiety. I would highly recommend this Van and would absolutely rent again in the future!

This was our first TURO experience, and this van was perfect for our trip! Not hard to find where it was parked, clean and in good condition. We will definately rent again when back on Oahu, Mahalo! Jena made this rental super easy from start to finish. Communication was quick and clear, and pick up was smooth with no stress. The van was spotless, comfortable, and easy to drive — ice cold A/C, plenty of room for luggage, and perfect for cruising all around Oahu. Great value for the price and way more convenient than the big rental companies. We enjoyed this rental a lot! It was clean and very good on gas. We stayed in Honolulu and traveled to many excursions but did not have to fill up the tank until we returned the vehicle. The rental is beautiful and spacious for our family of 8, there were no complaints. The hosts were very accommodating and communicative. Whenever we reached out with any questions or concerns, we got responses back very quickly. 10/10 Turo experience, honestly the best I’ve had so far! You will not be disappointed renting this vehicle!
