I’ve rented a few times on Turo and it’s always been a great experience, this time was not. The host and team are unresponsive.
Cons:
-Plates/registration expired.
-Key fob died in the middle of my trip
-Van was dirty at pick up.
TPMS light, tire 10psi low.
-Back up camera doesn’t work.
-front suspension is noisy and Bouncy.
I messaged about the tire light and the key fob battery low battery. They didn’t even read the message for 6 days. Then when the key fob died and I had to manually open the car and use the key fob to push the start button to use the car. They finally answered one message and said they’d fix it after my trip. They were supposed to renew the plates online and add photos, but they never did.
Pro: car never left us stranded and the beach gear we rented was nice.
Overall I would not rent from Rochelle again.
Im truly sorry for the cleaning and tire lapse; Im overhauling my team to ensure cleaning and maintenance meet my high standards.
To note: the van IS registered and legal. Hawaii has a 90-day delay in mailing physical tags, but proof of renewal was filed with Turo.
We ask all guests upon check-in to call for help, as app msgs do not properly deliver.
Mechanical and battery issues are resolved. I value your feedback and am committed to providing a 5-star experience for all future stays
