First off thank you 🙏🏾 to this just for being able to accommodate my rental it was last minute notice for both of us after a previous reservation was canceled to maintenance issues. I am grateful that you took time to work with me as far as verification issues. I went in simply to rent a car to handle a family emergency and what I got was an experience. This Camaro is a beast. It took me a little time to adjust to the absolute fine tuning of this machine. Never have I driven a vehicle that was so intuitive with the driver as this, it’s response to what you need out of your drive is amazingly precise and accurate yet so simple. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great vehicle for any special occasion or just to show off at your next event. Keep in mind I’m a big guy 6’0 foot kinda hefty and I was able to sit comfortably. Again thank you for an experience I will never forget and have always dreamed of thank you for your hospitality.
Pretty good car, nice clean inside. No problem driving it, perfect for a Small family trip!

Pickups and returns are allowed only in the Long Term Lot. Curbside pickup or return isn’t permitted at Harrisburg International. Follow airport signs (look for the blue sign for Long Term Parking), not the parking garage or rental car counters, and check the Turo app for exact stall details.
Book your car, then confirm the finer points in the app. From the ground floor baggage claim, follow the airport signs for Long Term Parking, locate your specific rental, and complete photo check-in. On rental car return, take checkout photos, share the section/stall, and confirm any additional details pertaining the handoff so your MDT airport car rental is returned without back-and-forth.
MDT requires Turo to collect and remit to the airport a fee that allows your host to deliver a vehicle there. Turo doesn't set this fee, mark it up, or retain any portion of it. If your host requires you to cover the cost of a parking fee to enter or exit at an airport parking location, Turo requires them to disclose that information in their vehicle listing.

Contactless check-in and checkout
Many hosts offer contactless check-in and checkout, if their car has remote access technology, allowing you to find the car, unlock it, and be on your way without meeting them in person. Message your host for specific instructions.

Convenient airport car rental pickup and return
Rather than hustling at the busy terminal curbside, take your time picking up the rental car at approved parking lots or garages. Check in, load up your luggage, and get comfortable with the car without a big rush.

Relax with support & damage protection
24/7 support and roadside assistance mean help is just a call away, plus you can choose from a range of protection plans.
There are plenty of occasions to rent a full size luxury suv or a midsize sport luxury sedan. From legislative marathons to lazy Saturdays, Harrisburg always finds a reason to drive, and rental cars keep the plan flexible.
Chasing golden hour along the Susquehanna River, popping to City Island, or snacking your way through Midtown markets? A rental vehicle lets you park once and wander. Go compact if you’ll be parallel-parking downtown; pick a standard SUV if coolers, strollers, and friends are along for the ride. Flexible dates and long-term bookings are your friend for the best car rental deals.
In town for a project sprint or policy session? Set your rental period in the app and choose a calm commuter (hello, Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Civic, Kia Forte). Many hosts even offer discounts for longer term bookings of one month or more, ideal for scoring an affordable car rental in Harrisburg.
Headed downtown for a dress-up evening or museum gala? Step up with something sleek — an electric luxury sedan (Tesla Model 3) for quiet polish or a Chevrolet Camaro for a little theater. Confirm your pick up details in the app, glide out of Harrisburg Intl Airport, and arrive like you meant it.

Take in Harrisburg’s skyline from the riverwalk or cross the Walnut Street Bridge to City Island for breezy views, mini-golf, and baseball nights. It’s a short drive from MDT and the perfect first stop after pickup — easy parking and plenty of photo ops.
Rent the perfect car
Stroll the riverwalk, snap the skyline, and pop over to City Island for breezy views. It’s a quick drive from MDT and an even quicker reminder of why renting a car is the best bet here: easy parking, easy pivots, and sunset right where you want it. Bring a jacket; those riverside breezes can surprise you.
This must-see destination offers four floors of Keystone State stories, from natural history to industry. Garage and street options nearby make this a simple stop, whether you choose compact-sized cars or something larger. Pair it with a Capitol Complex wander and a coffee in Midtown — culture, caffeine, and convenient parking all in one loop.
One of the oldest continuously operating markets in the country delivers exactly what you flew in hoping to find: local bites, friendly chatter, and strong coffee. Easily navigate in, park your rental car, and let your appetite lead. Weekends fill fast soarriving early is your best bet for easier spots and shorter lines.
Landing at Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) should feel simple: step off the plane, and step into your jampacked itinerary. Consider this your friendly inside track to car rental Harrisburg International Airport logistics, so you can spend more time by the Susquehanna and less time deciphering signs.
Skip the rental car counters and follow the airport signs (watch for the blue sign) straight from the ground-floor baggage claim area to Long Term Parking — the only approved pickup zone for Harrisburg Airport car rental on Turo. The Turo app will show the row and stall, making it easy to confirm the exact spot. Snap your check-in photos, use the ticket left in the car to exit, and you’re rolling.
Return to the Long Term Lot, not the curb. Pull a ticket at the entrance, park nose-in in a legal space (never in wheelchair or reserved spots), leave that ticket inside the car, and send your host the section/stall number via the Turo app so pickup is painless. Curbside returns aren’t allowed at Harrisburg Intl.
Close enough to call it a quick hop: MDT sits roughly 10 miles from downtown, usually 15–20 minutes depending on time of day and weather. That short glide is why many travelers rent a car right at Harrisburg International — you’re downtown before your coffee cools.
Curious about driving conditions in Harrisburg? Expect 25–35 mph in the grid, higher limits on arterials and interstates skirting the city. Pennsylvania is hands-free, so mount your phone before you move. Summer storms and winter slick spots can pop up; leave a little room and let the impatient folks be impatient.
Downtown garages near the Capitol Complex and Midtown are well signed and meters turn over quickly on weekdays. Compact-sized cars slip into tighter curbside pockets, while standard SUVs tend to prefer structures. On riverfront nights or City Island events, pivot one block off the main drag for your best bet on open spaces.
The city itself is mostly toll-free. Longer runs can tap the Pennsylvania Turnpike, so check your route in maps before you rent and set realistic timing for your rental period. If your plan changes mid-trip, the app makes reroutes and extensions straightforward.
Fuel’s easy along the main approaches into town and near shopping corridors; you’ll also spot options close to the airport. For EVs, newer garages and retail hubs host Level 2 and DC fast chargers — ideal if you choose an electric luxury sedan like a Tesla Model 3 (a “size elite electric sedan” in spirit). Top off the evening before your rental car return so you’re not chasing kilowatts on the clock.
Harrisburg’s best moments — late dinners, City Island sunsets, spur-of-the-moment detours — reward having your own wheels. With MDT car rental on Turo, you run the timeline, not the other way around.
When it comes to car rental types, expect a little of everything: efficient commuters, luxury sedans, and head-turners. Expect the likes of SUVs, electric cars, pickup trucks, compact cars and beyond. Popular picks include Tesla Model 3, Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Civic, Kia Forte, and Chevrolet Camaro. Browse vehicle classes and car type filters in-app to match your route and parking plan; watch car rental rates across dates to snag the price you want.
The cost of car rental in Harrisburg can vary depending on car type, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap car rentals in Harrisburg, look out for discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.
