Ford rental in Jersey City, NJ

Jeff is a fantastic host - very responsive and accommodating. his 2016 ford focus was the perfect car for our weekend trip. we would recommend Jeff to anyone looking to rent a car and would gladly rent from him again in the future.

Robert was great! Came through for us last minute after another host had to cancel due to vehicle issues. He was willing to help us out however it was needed to get us a vehicle and his Ford Transit van was awesome. We really enjoyed our time in New Yor thanks to it. It drove really well and was very clean. Very accommodating!!

As always it was great working with Serge on the Ford focus rental. Car drove well without any issues, and great communication. I look forward to booking with Serge again.

I rented this vehicle through Turo from June 18–23 while visiting New Jersey from Nevada. This was one of the most stressful rental experiences I’ve ever had, and I do not believe this vehicle should have been available for rent in its condition. When the vehicle was delivered, I immediately noticed a New Jersey REJECTED inspection sticker, which indicated the vehicle had failed its state inspection. That alone made me question whether it was safe to drive. As I drove the vehicle throughout my trip, I experienced several serious safety concerns: * The brakes made a loud grinding/crunching noise whenever I applied them. Every time I had to stop, I became increasingly concerned about whether the vehicle would stop safely. * My passengers noticed the problem as well. My sister and her children rode with me, and they repeatedly became anxious whenever I braked. My sister would actually flinch because she was worried about whether the car would stop in time. That level of fear from passengers is not normal. * The low tire pressure warning light remained on, causing me additional concern. I had to stop and have the tires checked because I was worried I might experience a flat tire while driving. * The front bumper was being held together with tape, which is clearly visible and gave me even more concern about the vehicle’s overall condition. What made the situation even worse was that I could not reach the host after the vehicle was delivered. I attempted to contact them regarding the issues I was experiencing, but I was unable to get the support I needed. When you’re renting a vehicle—especially while traveling over 2,000 miles from home—you expect the host to be available if safety concerns arise. Instead of enjoying my trip, I spent much of it worried about whether the brakes would function properly, whether I would experience a tire problem, and whether I could safely transport my family. No renter should have to feel that way. I have photographs documenting the rejected inspection sticker and the taped bumper, and I hope Turo carefully reviews whether this vehicle met the platform’s safety standards before allowing it to be rented. For the safety of future renters, I cannot recommend this vehicle or this host based on my experience.

Great host and very easy rental experience. Serge was responsive, clear with pickup and drop off instructions, and flexible with coordination. The car was clean, as described, and everything went smoothly during the trip. Would definitely rent from him again.

Car is excellent one to get out of the city and wherever you need. Pickup at the garage is easy and location in NYC is ideal. Communication with the hosts was fast and efficient. Would rent again.
