If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would , let me just start off by saying that renting this Tesla model Y was one of the greatest car rental experiences I’ve ever had , I’ve detailed some here and there but actually driving it made it 10x better , to the point where I’m thinking about owning one (never thought I would ever say that ) Rafael made it so easy to pick up the vehicle, if I ever come back to Orlando I’ll make sure to rent from him again

I chose A1 due to the high number of positive reviews, unlimited milage offered so I could drive Florida with peace of mind. I also chose Tesla Model Y as I’m a Tesla Model 3 driver from Germany. This was my first Turo experience so I’m sharing the process of Turo, A1 & Tesla. A1, I received good communication, and 30 mins prior to pickup received the key to my Tesla app. The car was located in an expansive parking lot of small business, which I took an uber too. The address of the location, was not the exact location of the car which I was able to find via the Tesla app just a few minutes walk away. At this point everything seemed fantastic, car was in immaculate condition for a 2022 Model Y. I was able to unlock it, just like at home and the music I left my Tesla in Germany on, continued - incredible experience UNTIL suddenly a long list of warnings came up on the screen. Turns out this is nothing to do with A1 but a Tesla bug when either switching from a Model 3 to a Model Y or a European to USA it was unknown. I was in a panic, thinking my vacation was ruined and I was about to have to rent another car at top price. Fortunately Raphael from A1 was amazingly helpful, we switched the driver profile and all the warnings went away. Super bizarre experience, later on in the trip I paired the key with my driver profile and everything worked correctly. I solely blame Tesla for this. After that, the car went perfectly apart from my one gripe which is the charging speed. In Europe we are used to fast charging 100 kw/h almost all the time, apart from the last 5% of the battery. I am very surprised that American tesla owners seem to be somewhat fine charging for an hour - I very rarely in Europe charge for more than 20 minutes unless stopping for lunch. I was also disappointed by the lack of charging infrastructure at hotels around Florida. Nothing to do with A1 but compared to Europe where even McDonalds have chargers - America is behind. Charging was paid by A1 and I paid after - super fast and professional. My only recommendation to return the car with 90+% battery is to parking at the nearby mall, which allows the family to do some shopping but the last 15% was incredibly slow approx 20 mins at 11kwh. It would be much more appreciated to deliver the car back at 80%. All in all, I would recommend A1 as he is a genuine great service offering you a car at much better rate than traditional renters. We had a great time dolphins the west coast of Florida, the gator experience in the south and Miami in the East. Also important to ensure any rental has the SunPass to pay tolls. Thanks A1!

Car was great. Just make sure to contact host ahead of rental to assure Tesla app access. Was a little hectic at first with the keycard backup. Would rent again next time

It’s great to be able to rent a specific car through this app! I hate going up to the counter and asking for a car then they give you something totally different. With this, I wanted to rent a Tesla Y and that’s what we got! Car was in great shape. We had a small little issue with the card key (which any Tesla driver could tell you is not easy to get used to using the key card - since your phone becomes the key) but the owner fixed that issue immediately. Self driving feature is great and of course the car is as smooth as expected. Would highly recommend and if I’m back will be looking for this one again!

A good tell of customer service is how the host responds when something goes wrong. This host worked thru the issues and was very accommodating to our needs. The Model Y FSD is now a must. I refuse to rent a car without Tesla FSD.

The new Tesla Model Y is by far the best driving experience. FSD drove me everywhere perfectly. It’s so stress-free. And Gerardo is clearly a very thoughtful host with great attention to detail. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. As a fellow Turo host, I was inspired with some of his great ideas. Our plans changed and we had to rent another car after this one from a traditional rental agency. They gave us a brand new Jeep and within seconds, we were missing Gerardo’s Model Y. After driving a Tesla with FSD, going back to a gas, non-self driving car is like going back to a horse and buggy (no offense to the Amish).

Great experience overall. Communication was easy and smooth from start to finish. This was my first time renting, and I had the car for 10 days. The check-in and check-out process was simple and hassle-free. The Tesla was in excellent condition and very clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Such a great Tesla Model 3! My friend and I absolutely loved driving it around the Orlando area. The car was incredibly smooth, comfortable, and fun to drive throughout the city. Very good first experience with Turo and a Tesla. Wendy’s immediate messages about the reservation were clear and informative on what to expect. Car was clean charged and easy to get to after landing from a red eye flight into Orlando.
