Sprinter Van was wonderful. Car delivery convenience was made even better when they found a closer location than I had asked for. Made for a great family trip.
Super easy to work with. Great communication. Pick up and drop off were a breeze. Van drove great no problems

Daniel was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The van was in excellent condition. It was spacious, clean and it had heat, AC, radio and automatic back door. I have nothing negative to say and I will absolutely rent again and recommend him. Thanks for sharing your van with my huge family, everyone was extremely comfortable.

Van was in great condition. No issues with the drive. Smooth and stable for a 15 seater. Minor issue: rear door open warning light was always on, he told me to ignore it. More annoying issue: this host wants to be in person for pick up and drop off, which was annoying because they showed up 10 mins late for pickup and because I felt rushed bringing the car back to them for our agreed upon time. I’m only giving 5 stars for this review since they are clearly trying / had a broken leg / waited 40 minutes for me in the target at the end. Unfortunately, all of their effort is still worse than the average rental car company experience of a key drop off box and a car ready for you when you get there, which I’ve grown to also expect from Turo.

Second time renting this van. Hosts are extremely nice and very communicative. The van was also in fantastic condition, like new on both occasions.

The van was perfect for our needs. It ran great and was very clean. Pick up and drop off was very easy and straight forward. Daniel was a great host and was easy to contact when needed. He even made sure to reach out just incase we needed anything. Thank you for helping make my daughter's birthday amazing!

Everything was smooth and easy and the MV van was very large and spacious, just perfect for our party of 10. This include included two littles in car seats, which can be difficult to get in and out. It was so nice to be able to just stand up and help the little ones.
We had a great experience with this rental! The van was delivered right on time, spotless clean, and in excellent condition— everything worked perfectly. Communication throughout the process was clear, fast, and super helpful. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend!

Long Island City offers an impressive mix of cultural attractions, waterfront parks, and artistic venues that you can easily reach with your rental van. Gantry Plaza State Park provides breathtaking Manhattan views and hosts seasonal events, while MoMA PS1 showcases cutting-edge contemporary art in a former school building. The Pepsi Cola sign and Queensboro Bridge create iconic photo opportunities along the East River waterfront. Your rental van gives you the flexibility to transport picnic supplies to riverside parks, carry art purchases from local galleries, and explore multiple neighborhoods in a single day without worrying about public transportation schedules.
This stunning 12-acre park stretches along the East River and delivers unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline from its historic gantries. You'll find ample parking near the park entrance, making it convenient to unload chairs, coolers, and recreational equipment from your rental van. The park features fishing piers, playgrounds, and open lawns perfect for group gatherings or family picnics.
This innovative museum transforms a former public school into one of the most exciting contemporary art spaces in New York City. Street parking surrounds the museum area, and your rental van provides secure storage for any art books or souvenirs you purchase. The museum's outdoor courtyard hosts summer concerts and installations that draw creative crowds from across the city.
This expansive waterfront park combines manicured gardens, sports facilities, and scenic walking paths with spectacular river views. Multiple parking areas accommodate larger vehicles, and your rental van allows you to bring sports equipment, beach chairs, or supplies for outdoor activities. The park's central location makes it an ideal starting point for exploring other Long Island City attractions.
You can access Long Island City through several convenient routes:
• By plane: LaGuardia Airport sits nearby in Queens, while John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport provide additional flight options
• By train: Amtrak serves Penn Station in Manhattan, connecting to Long Island City via subway or van rental
• By car: Major highways including the Long Island Expressway, Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, and Queensboro Bridge provide direct access from Manhattan, Brooklyn, and other New York areas
Book your rental van early on Turo to secure the best vehicle for your Long Island City adventure, especially during peak summer months when waterfront events draw larger crowds. Look for vans with features like backup cameras for navigating tight city streets, keyless entry for convenient access, and all-wheel drive for confident handling in various weather conditions. Consider vehicles with extra cargo space if you're planning to transport equipment for park visits, moving items between locations, or carrying supplies for group outings. Choose a rental van that accommodates your passenger needs while providing enough storage for everything from beach gear to art supplies, ensuring your Long Island exploration remains comfortable and practical.
Vans provide exceptional space for families and groups exploring Long Island City's waterfront parks and cultural attractions. The elevated seating position offers better views of the Manhattan skyline across the East River, while ample cargo space accommodates shopping bags from local Queens markets. Van rentals prove ideal for navigating between Brooklyn's nearby neighborhoods and Long Island's suburban destinations with comfort and convenience.
New York City driving requires heightened awareness of pedestrians, cyclists, and frequent traffic signals throughout Long Island City streets. Vans handle differently than regular cars, with wider turning radius and increased stopping distance on busy Jamaica Avenue or near LaGuardia Airport approaches. Practice parking and maneuvering in less crowded areas before venturing into dense Brooklyn or Bronx neighborhoods.
Look for wider parking spaces near Long Island City's industrial areas and waterfront, where street layouts accommodate larger vehicles better than residential Queens blocks. Always check height clearances for parking garages, as many vans exceed standard car height limits throughout the city. Consider parking slightly farther from destinations in Flushing or Jamaica to find appropriately sized spaces for your rental van.
Passenger vans with multiple rows suit large groups visiting Long Island attractions or exploring White Plains area destinations together. Family-oriented vans typically feature easier access doors and storage compartments for strollers when touring Brooklyn's family-friendly venues. Consider cargo space needs for shopping excursions versus seating capacity for your specific Long Island City itinerary.
Adjust seats and mirrors before departing Long Island City to ensure optimal driving position for extended journeys across New York state. Plan regular stops at rest areas when traveling beyond the immediate city limits to stretch and refresh passengers. Van rentals with climate control help maintain comfort during summer heat or winter cold while exploring various Queens neighborhoods and Long Island destinations.
Backup cameras prove essential when maneuvering vans through tight Long Island City parking situations and crowded Bronx streets. Side mirrors with extended visibility help monitor blind spots while changing lanes on busy highways leading to LaGuardia Airport or White Plains. Anti-lock braking systems provide crucial stopping control during sudden traffic changes common throughout the greater New York area.
