The Van Was Used For A Road Trip From Chicago To Sevierville Tennessee The Van Worked Perfect Only Stopped For Gas Once Going & Coming Very Great On Gas Price To Fill Up Wasn’t Bad Either. Host Was responsive & Helpful ! Thank You So Much Will Book Again If Needed!

Great van to rent. Super reliable and comfortable for the entire family. Pick up and drop off was smooth and easy. Jonathan was great to work with.
Extremely happy with the vehicle, the owner. Very seamless and easy to get in and go without all the nonsense of the big rental companies make us jump through hoops to rent a car. Owner was very responsive, polite and professional. Car was clean, drove very well. Lots of cargo space. Overall excellent
Jonathan was very easy to work with. I'm very pleased with his customer service skills and ability to handle all matters effectively. The vehicle was damaged during the trip, just prior to ours pretty significantly. For no additional, he extended my rental 48 hours. This vehicle is a commercial van. Keep that in mind. I own a Ford Transit, and this isn't as smooth of a ride, but it has many other features that I really like. It was incredibly clean upon pick up, and I really appreciate such. I would absolutely rent from Jonathan again.

Excellent from start to finish! Vehicle ran great for the road trip and transporting family, heirloom furniture. Cruise control and Lane assist for a bonus. Thank you so much!

Van was great. Very happy with the whole process. Would recommend for your next adventure.

Great communication, easy pickup and drop off. Van was great for the drive

Good van for a great price. Plenty of space. Clean with easy pick up & drop off.

Me and my family enjoyed the van. Everything is was clean and pick up and drop off was convenient and easy. I will be renting again in the future
The car was great and clean. Jonathan and his assistant were great with communication and getting the car out fast. It wasn’t bad at all on gas. It does shake over 40 mph and also at 60mph. If that does not bother you then it’s great for trips in my opinion. I would get again!

Planning on booking a Chicago van rental? Whether you’re cruising down historic routes, herding the family toward the Lincoln Park Zoo, or hauling boxes across town, a few insider tips will make your trip smoother. From parking strategies to fuel stops, here’s what every renter should know before picking up the keys.
When you rent a van in Chicago, remember you’re not piloting a compact SUV anymore — you’re commanding a vehicle with a little more height, width, and presence. Keep an eye out for low underpasses, tight turns, and narrow lanes, especially downtown. Passenger vans like the Ford Transit or cargo vans like the Chevrolet Express handle beautifully, but giving yourself a little extra room never hurts.
Parking a van in Chicago can feel like a sport. Many garages downtown have height restrictions that don’t play well with taller vans, so always check clearance before pulling in. Street parking is available but competitive, and residential neighborhoods often require permits. For larger passenger vans or a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, look for open lots or designated parking locations where maneuvering is easier.
The right vehicle type depends on your trip. For a family vacation or group travel, a passenger van rental with extra seats and luggage room is ideal. Business needs or moving days call for cargo vans that prioritize space over seats. If you’re tackling a road trip across Illinois or the wider country, a van with a comfortable vehicle and plenty of storage (like a Sprinter) will pay off in spades.
A cargo van rental is a blank canvas — but it pays to load it wisely. Secure items with straps or blankets to prevent sliding, and leave space near the doors for anything you’ll need to grab quickly. Always check the maximum load for your vehicle, whether you’re hauling boxes for business or helping a student move into a dorm near the University of Illinois.
Fueling up is straightforward, with gas stations scattered across the Chicago area, especially near major highways and in suburban towns. If you’re in a van that runs on diesel, don’t absentmindedly grab the wrong pump — your engine will not thank you. For eco-conscious trips, you’ll also find EV chargers downtown and along major corridors, though vehicle availability for electric vans is still more limited compared to gas and diesel.
