I’ve rented from Jon multiple times now, and I’m planning to keep doing so throughout the first half of this month. He's consistent, he may not offer the lowest prices I’ve found on Turo, but what sets him apart and makes it worth while is the outstanding quality of the vehicles and the exceptional level of service. From the moment you book, his communication is clear, prompt, and reliable. He’s patient, responsive, and genuinely cares about making sure everything goes smoothly. The cars are always clean, well-maintained, and ready to go, no surprises, no issues. That combination of rock-solid reliability and real customer service gives me total peace of mind every single time. In a world where you can find cheap rentals, Jon delivers priceless value. You’re getting both the best deal and the best experience. I highly recommend renting from him, you won’t be disappointed. Like myself you'll definitely be back! Thanks, Jon!

Easy rental and return. Reliable car with great gas mileage. My 5th rental from same host.

Scott and Ryan are the only I rent from they’re the best period!! I’ll never get tired of dating it they’re just remarkable!
Great experience renting from Glenn. I had an urgent need for transportation and was able to rent from him at 11pm along with extending my rental. I would definitely rent from him again and recommend renting as well.
The car ran great and Jonathan was accommodating and communicated with me for a comfortable trip!

Carla was great to work with and kept in touch the whole check in and check out process. The car really helped me out while mine was being repaired.
Very reliable little beep beep great on gas barley 20$ to fill the tank and great for the people who drive more often definitely would rent again or recommend

Jonathan was a great host. Very professional and respectful. I'll definitely rent from him again soon..
Car was great, did have issues toward returning but made owner aware. We did have it for 2 weeks and it ran good for us during those 2 weeks.

Forget the dreaded rental car center. When you rent on Turo, your rental car will be waiting in one of three approved spots at Tucson International Airport (TUS): the Economy Uncovered Lot, Garage Level 2, or the Hourly Lot. Just grab your bag at baggage claim, check the Turo app, and follow the airport signs straight to your car. Prefer to meet in person? Pickup at the App Rides area, located in front of the main terminal.
Your host is your on-the-ground guide to a seamless Tucson airport car rental experience. Use the Turo app to confirm where your vehicle is parked, whether it’s in the garage or the hourly lot, or arrange for a quick App Rides area hand-off. Share your location when you land, and once you’ve found the car, your host will let you know where to find the vehicle keys—be it a secure lockbox or smart remote access. Clear, easy, and wonderfully un-rental-car-like.
A few housekeeping notes: Tucson International Airport TUS charges a fee for all Turo deliveries on airport property. This fee is collected by Turo and passed directly to the airport (no sneaky markups here). Some Turo hosts may also require you to cover parking charges when exiting or re-entering a garage or lot; this will be clearly disclosed in the listing. As always, Turo puts transparency front and center.

Contactless check-in and checkout
Many hosts offer contactless check-in and checkout, if their car has remote access technology, allowing you to find the car, unlock it, and be on your way without meeting them in person. Message your host for specific instructions.

Convenient airport car rental pickup and return
Rather than hustling at the busy terminal curbside, take your time picking up the rental car at approved parking lots or garages. Check in, load up your luggage, and get comfortable with the car without a big rush.

Relax with support & damage protection
24/7 support and roadside assistance mean help is just a call away, plus you can choose from a range of protection plans.

Tucson isn’t just a pit stop between Phoenix and Mexico — it’s a cultural goldmine wrapped in cactus-studded views. With a rental car from Tucson Airport, the city’s desert trails, which are art-filled enclaves, are only a few turns of the wheel away.
Rent the perfect car
Where else can you be surrounded by towering cacti that look like they walked straight off a vintage postcard? Just 30 minutes from Tucson International Airport, Saguaro National Park is best explored on four wheels. Bring plenty of water, a good playlist, and your camera. The sunsets here definitely don't need a filter.
If your travel companions include small humans or big animal lovers, Reid Park Zoo delivers charm in spades. Located in central Tucson, this compact zoo is a joy to navigate — especially with your rental vehicle parked nearby for snack breaks or quick exits. Pro tip: the giraffes are show-offs, and yes, they do photo ops.
Downtown Tucson is a vibe. Historic architecture, boundary-pushing cuisine, and the type of vintage neon signs that make you want to move here permanently. Easy to reach with your Tucson Airport car rental, downtown offers free parking in some areas and plenty of reasons to stay late. Think rooftop mezcal, indie galleries, and live music under the stars.
Exploring the Sonoran Desert is not exactly a bus-friendly affair, which is why booking a car rental at Tucson Airport is the smartest move you'll make before your boots hit the tarmac. Whether you're landing at Tucson International Airport (TUS) for business or breezing into town for a long-overdue escape, Turo makes picking up your rental vehicle easier than remembering where you packed your sunscreen. Keep these top tips in mind before you hit the road in Arizona.
With Turo, collecting your car rental at Tucson Airport is blissfully simple. Forget the rental car counter and skip the shuttle to the rental car center. Instead, check the app for details from your host. Vehicles will be waiting in one of three approved pickup areas: the Hourly Lot, Garage Level 2, or the Economy Uncovered Lot. For in-person pickups, your host will meet you at the App Rides area outside the main terminal with a Turo placard proudly on display.
Returning your Tucson airport car rental is just as easy. Head to the Garage Level 2, Hourly Lot, or Economy Uncovered Lot and park in a legal spot. Pull a ticket on entry and leave it in the car for your host. Use the Turo app to send the precise location and stall number. If your host has provided a key drop box, be sure to use it or confirm that the vehicle has been locked remotely.
Tucson International Airport (TUS) is just eight miles from downtown Tucson, making the journey into the heart of the city a quick 15 to 20-minute drive. With your rental vehicle secured and waiting, you can be navigating Tucson Blvd or exploring local restaurants before your baggage carousel even stops spinning.
Driving in Tucson AZ is mostly relaxed, though you'll want to stay sharp during rush hour on roads like South Tucson Blvd and I-10. The speed limit in residential areas typically hovers around 25 mph, while highways stretch up to 65 or 75 mph. If you're visiting Tucson from June to September, stay extra alert during monsoon season, as visibility and traction drop faster than the desert temperature after sundown.
Finding parking in Tucson is refreshingly manageable compared to larger cities. Popular areas like downtown Tucson and around Reid Park Zoo may have limited availability during peak hours, but metered street parking and well-priced city garages offer reliable alternatives. If you're venturing farther from the center, you'll likely stumble on a spot steps from your destination. Keep an eye out for signage, especially near university zones and local attractions.
Good news for your budget. There are no toll roads in Tucson or across southern Arizona, so you can cruise past the cacti without racking up surprise charges.
You’ll find gas stations conveniently located along Tucson Blvd, South 6th Avenue, and most major thoroughfares. For those driving electric vehicles, Tucson has a growing network of EV chargers. Look for charging stations near the University of Arizona, downtown parking garages, and select grocery stores and hotels. There's also a Tesla Supercharger near Broadway Boulevard for faster top-ups.
Unless your idea of fun involves deciphering regional bus routes and standing in the desert sun, the answer is yes. Booking a rental vehicle at Tucson International Airport gives you the freedom to explore Saguaro National Park, venture to nearby Tucson Mountain Park, or take an impromptu detour to quirky roadside attractions. With Turo, you can select from cheap car rentals, stylish sedans, or family-sized passenger vans — all tailored to your travel dates and itinerary.
Tucson’s open roads call for more than just a one-size-fits-all rental. On Turo, you’ll find everything from luxury SUVs to electric sedans, performance sport cars, and family-ready crossovers—each ready to match your itinerary and your attitude. Need room for desert gear? Opt for a Dodge Journey or Nissan Rogue. Cruising with a minimalist mindset? The Tesla Model Y makes every mile whisper-silent. And for those who prefer classic comfort, the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Malibu serve up smooth handling with a side of effortless style.
The cost of car rental in Tucson can vary depending on car type, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap car rentals in Tucson, look out for discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.
