Honda rental in Lahaina, HI

This was my first experience using Turo, and it exceeded all of my expectations. The vehicle was exceptionally clean, comfortable, spacious, and equipped with great features such as heated seats, Apple CarPlay, and automatic doors. It was the perfect vehicle for our needs. The host was outstanding and provided excellent customer service throughout the entire rental process. They were responsive, professional, and quick to answer any questions I had. The pickup location was convenient and located in a safe area, which made the experience even more seamless. Overall, this was an excellent rental experience from start to finish. I would gladly rent from this host again and highly recommend them to others. Thanks to this positive experience, Turo has gained a loyal customer, and I will certainly consider it over traditional car rental companies in the future.

The Honda Pilot was perfect. It was clean and drove well! AC was cold! Pick and drop off was an easy shuttle ride to the Turo lot next to the car rental center. Will rent again!

First, I contemplated leaving a 4 star review for a few reasons. However, the prompt response to the issue with the original vehicle reserved, partly due to luck that someone happened to be onsite with the car, and the flexibility with returning the vehicle without requiring washing and vacuuming is deserving of some grace. The price for 5 day/4 night rental was fantastic, around $150 total. I certainly didn't expect a car in pristine shape for the cost. This car is a part of a Turo "rental company" fleet. It seems like a company that buys cheap, used cars to rent out. There are 12-15 cars parked behind a strip mall 8-10ish minutes from the airport in an area I was glad we were picking up and dropping off midday rather than the evening. The hybrid we originally reserved had stained seats and a lot of cosmetic wear. One tire looked like it was on a spare wheel and didn't have a lot of life left, honestly. A lot of the roads in San Diego aren't exactly in great shape, I was concerned about getting a flat. When we turned the car on to leave we immediately got check engine lights and a "pull over immediately" message. Fortunately, someone with the "rental company" was on site and qas able to quickly switched cars for us. It wasn't a hybrid, though. We didn't plan on a lot of driving, but originally opted for a hybrid to save money since we had two days of freeway driving. We definitely spent more on gas then originally planned. If there wasn't someone available onsite to help, it could have been a much longer ordeal which is a terrible way to start a vacation. Communication day of pick up felt slow with the owner. I didn't think to look back to the 2 month old message about how to find the car. I received a message from Turo saying we'd be sent details the day before the trip. I never got that confirmation text or measage the day before or day of pick up from the actual rental owner. When I first reached out to the rental company through the turo app to find the car at pick up time, I didn't get a response. I finally found a way to text someone about 20 minutes later. We did get a pretty quick response that way, but it's frustrating to be in a random parking lot messaging through an app and not get a response. The Honda interior is definitely cleaner than the hybrid we reserved, but the exterior, not so much. Its been side swiped and has a lot of sun damage. The TPMS light was on the whole time, but the actual tire pressure was fine. There was also a rattle and grinding noise when accelerating from a stop or on a hill, but it didn't cause an issue. The car drives fine for a 14-15 year old car, it's just a little noisy and you feel all the bumps on the road. I understand with the cheaper cost of renting through Turo amd choosing a 12-15 year old car, I'm not getting a newer car like I would with a standard rental company or paying more for a newer car. That said, with my last few Turo rentals, it feels a lot of these Turo "rental companies" aren't checking their cars or doing much more than standard maintenance as frequently as they should when they have over 150,000 miles on them. The confirmation message also suggested the cars are kept in great shape. These cars were not in great shape by any stretch of the imagination. No one wants to be on vacation and have their car break down or even be worried that the car they're driving is gonna get a flat or break down.

Fantastic rental experience! This Honda Odyssey was exactly what we needed for our trip. It comfortably accommodated all five of us with plenty of room for passengers and luggage. The unlimited miles were a huge bonus and gave us the flexibility to explore without worrying about mileage restrictions. The van was clean, reliable, and drove great throughout our entire trip. On top of that, the price was very reasonable and offered excellent value. We would absolutely rent this vehicle again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and dependable ride!

I had a great experience with Go Geo Car Rental. After Enterprise confirmed my reservation and then told me they had no cars available when I arrived, I was left scrambling for a solution. Go Geo made the process incredibly easy, I was in a rental car in less than an hour. The vehicle was in great condition, the service was fast and seamless, and the host even checked in with me during my rental to make sure everything was going well. Excellent customer service and a stress-free experience. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them to others.

I had a wonderful experience renting the 2026 Honda Accord. From start to finish. The host answered all of my questions whenever I called because it was my first time renting a car on Turo. When I received the car from the host the car was very clean and a full tank of gas. Thanks again for making my first experience wonderful. If I need to rent a car I would definitely rent from this host again!

Fandi and our cohost provided excellent communication throughout the process. Our car, 2020 Honda Insight was clean and in good working order. Performance was good around the hills and mountains in the greater San Francisco area. The drop off at the San Jose airport was excellent. Why go to the “normal” car rental companies!

The 2025 Honda Pilot that I got was in great shape, with the interior spotlessly clean, the car was great, and made me consider buying a Honda Pilot. The return process was smooth too. Overall a great value. I would definitely rent a car from Rahene again.

Very reliable car with great gas mileage, interior features, and overall quality. I had ended up needing to extend the rental twice and both times the host responded within minutes and made it simple and easy to rearrange a drop off time. I recommend this host to all people looking to rent a car and would love to book with them again. Price, communication, and experience 11/10.

This 2023 Honda Civic was a good car to drive! Nice place to pick up the car if you choose his home pick up address. The car was clean and smelled nice. On the road it was sturdy and felt very reliable. Host is very responsive. And allowed me to drop off the car earlier than my drop off time. Would definitely rent again.

Gabriel was an amazing host! I was actually the first guest to rent this minivan, and the experience couldn’t have gone better. He went above and beyond by dropping the vehicle off at my place while I was still at work, which made pickup incredibly convenient. Communication was great throughout the entire trip, and he was always quick to respond to any questions. The Honda Odyssey was clean, spacious, comfortable, and very excellent on gas. We drove from Marana all the way to Los Angeles with six people, and it was the perfect vehicle for our trip. Plenty of room for everyone, smooth ride, and no issues at all. Overall, an easy and stress-free rental experience. I would absolutely rent from Gabriel again and highly recommend both him and his vehicle to future guests! Having a big family myself i just found my go to rental for future road trips!! PS. I accidentally locked the car keys inside the car when i did the drop off when i was suppose to put it in the lock box but Gabriel reassured me that it was okay he was still able to unlock the car from his side haha. 10/10 customer service bc my heart was panicking when i left 😂

Pickup was very convenient. Walk out of the port. Cross the street ( yes its busy) and the condo complex you see is it! M met us there on time. Drop off was easy as well. Car is a bit old school as it is a 2012, but has all you need and ran just fine. Its a Honda! Price was very good compared to other rentals we did in Hawaii. So great to have a cooler, chairs and beach towels. Suggestion; Would have wanted 3 chairs/ towels as there were 3 of us. Chairs were sitting on sand type which is hard for older ppl to use. If important to you, some places will rent chairs for the day. Does not deter renting the vehicle. Thankyou

We had a great experience renting a mini van from Ryan. He was very responsive and clearly answered all of my questions before our trip and had accurate and easy instructions to follow once it was time for our reservation. I was traveling alone with 3 kids and it was still easy to manage the pick up and drop off. The shuttle was located right outside of baggage claim, we only had to wait a couple of minutes for it to come and the drive to the parking lot was probably less than 5 minutes away. Quick and easy and I greatly preferred it to having to wait and deal with a car rental agency. The car was in great shape, clean and had no smell or added scent to it which was appreciated.

Rented a Honda HR-V through Turo and the experience was flawless from start to finish. The car was clean, reliable, and exactly as described—perfect for getting around town comfortably and efficiently. The HR-V handled great, had plenty of space, and got solid gas mileage throughout the trip. The host was outstanding—super friendly, professional, and quick to respond to messages. Pickup and drop-off were hassle-free, and everything was explained clearly. You could tell they cared about making the rental process easy and stress-free. If you’re looking for a worry-free rental with great service and a dependable SUV, this is it. I’ll definitely rent from this host again next time I’m in town.
