Hawthorne sits perfectly positioned in the heart of Los Angeles County, offering easy access to beaches, airports, and urban attractions. You'll find yourself minutes from LAX and close to the vibrant energy of Inglewood and Torrance. The city serves as an ideal base for exploring Southern California's diverse landscape. Renting a van gives you the space and flexibility to transport groups, gear, or cargo while navigating the sprawling Los Angeles metropolitan area. Your rental van opens up possibilities for beach trips, airport transfers, and comfortable travel throughout the region.

The van was everything we needed for our trip of 9 people. The option to rent a stroller saved us time and money. Will rent again if we are in the area and need a vehicle of this size

Thanks. Perfect rental. What we needed for our LA Trip. Will rent again from them
Amazing host! The van was exactly as described and everything worked perfectly. She made the whole rental process smooth and easy. I would definitely rent from her again. Highly recommend!

Dustin is hands-down one of the best hosts I’ve rented from on Turo! The van itself was super clean, well-maintained, and made my trip so much easier—it even came equipped with moving blankets and tools, which was an incredible and thoughtful touch. On top of that, Dustin’s customer service is top-notch. I needed to adjust my pickup and drop-off times, and he walked me step-by-step through how to request the changes directly in the Turo app so I wouldn't incur any unnecessary fees. He was extremely responsive, flexible, and helpful throughout the entire process. I would definitely rent from Dustin again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Dustin is an amazing and professional host - this van is great, cool AC and clean. Thank you!

Great host, very easy to work with. She keeps her cargo van in great running condition and both the interior and exterior are well taken care of. I’m often in need of a reliable and presentable delivery van and will make her my go to host from now on.

The Vehicle was perfect for our family trip! The pick up location was great and the host was awesome and super attentive. Definitely highly recommend and will be booking again!😊

Such a great VAN, everyone loved it, I even had people in gas stations asking about it. And Steve above an beyond. Thanks for everything.
This car took 11 girls around the hills of Malibu. It drove so well and was very clean when we picked it up. The lights were so cool. Would rent again!

Great van and great communication- family enjoyed it. Thanks for letting us drive your van!

Danny was an awesome turo host! He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, very attentive to our needs and the van was very clean and had a charger and magnetic phone holder. Thanks again Danny!

Great vehicle, well maintained, had much fun to drive. Would definitely rent again
The host Daniel was great and would respond very quickly with any question I had and the van was incredible and we all had a blast with the tv and lights and sound system!

Very easy handoff very communicative highly recommend if I return back to LA. There will be the first I contact.
Hawthorne provides excellent access to Los Angeles International Airport and connects you to major Southern California destinations. You can explore the beaches of nearby Torrance and El Segundo, visit the entertainment districts of Inglewood, or venture into downtown Los Angeles. Your rental van gives you the freedom to discover local parks, shopping centers, and dining districts at your own pace. The city's central location makes it perfect for day trips to San Diego or exploring the greater Los Angeles area without the constraints of public transportation.
LAX stands as one of the world's busiest airports and sits just minutes from Hawthorne's center. You'll appreciate the convenient parking options and multiple terminal access points when picking up or dropping off travelers. Your rental van proves especially valuable for airport transfers, providing ample space for luggage and passenger comfort during the short drive.
Inglewood offers world-class entertainment venues and sporting events that draw visitors from across the region. You can easily drive to major concerts, games, and cultural events while having the flexibility to explore the surrounding neighborhoods. Your rental van eliminates parking concerns and gives you control over your schedule when attending events in this bustling entertainment district.
The coastal areas near Torrance provide beautiful beach experiences and ocean activities within easy driving distance. You'll find excellent parking near beach access points and can transport all your beach gear comfortably. Your rental van allows you to carry everything needed for a full day at the coast while maintaining the flexibility to explore multiple beach locations along the shoreline.
• By plane: Los Angeles International Airport provides the closest air access with numerous domestic and international flights
• By car: Major highways including Interstate 405 and Interstate 105 connect Hawthorne to the broader Los Angeles area and San Diego
• By train: Regional rail services connect to nearby stations with local transportation options to reach the city center
Book your vehicle early on Turo to secure the best van options for your Los Angeles area adventures. Look for vans with features like backup cameras and keyless entry to navigate busy airport areas and urban environments more easily. Consider passenger van options if you're traveling with groups, or cargo van configurations for moving purposes or equipment transport. Choose vehicles with all-wheel drive if you plan to explore varied terrain around Southern California, and prioritize pet-friendly options if traveling with animals.
Vans provide exceptional space for exploring Hawthorne and the greater Los Angeles area, accommodating both passengers and gear comfortably. The elevated seating position offers better visibility when navigating busy California streets, while ample storage handles everything from beach equipment to shopping finds. Van rental gives you the flexibility to transport groups efficiently between Hawthorne's attractions and nearby destinations like Torrance or Los Angeles International Airport.
Van rental requires adjusting to a larger vehicle footprint and higher center of gravity compared to standard cars. Parking spaces in Hawthorne and throughout Los Angeles may feel tighter, so allow extra time for maneuvering. The wider turning radius means taking corners more gradually, especially when navigating California's urban areas or airport locations.
Look for end spaces or areas with fewer surrounding vehicles when parking your rental van in Hawthorne or Los Angeles. Use your mirrors extensively and consider backing into spaces for easier departure visibility. Many California shopping centers and airport locations offer larger spaces specifically designed for bigger vehicles like passenger vans.
Passenger van rental suits larger groups prioritizing seating capacity for trips around Los Angeles or to San Diego. Family-oriented vans typically offer more cargo space behind fewer seats, perfect for Hawthorne adventures requiring equipment storage. Consider your specific needs — airport transfers favor passenger capacity while recreational vehicle use benefits from flexible cargo arrangements.
Adjust your rental van seat and mirrors properly before departing Hawthorne for longer California drives. Plan regular stops to stretch, especially when traveling between Los Angeles and distant destinations like San Diego. Ensure adequate ventilation and consider the van's air conditioning capacity for California's warmer climate conditions.
Prioritize vans with backup cameras and blind spot monitoring for safer navigation around Hawthorne and Los Angeles traffic. Electronic stability control becomes crucial given a van's higher profile in California's variable driving conditions. Anti-lock brakes and traction control provide essential safety when driving your rental van between airport locations or during sudden weather changes.

Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you'll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you'll see the total miles or kilometers you're allowed to drive under the heading "Distance included." You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the "Unlimited distance" filter.
No, you don't need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo. In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host's vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you'll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that's right for you. On each trip, you're covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.* In New York state, you'll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum.
