SUV rental at Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport (PNS)

Confession, this was my first TURO experience and the host and the car were great. The host was extremely responsive and answered my many questions that I had as a newbie. The car was very clean with no over perfumed scents and, thankfully, had a great air conditioner. To the new comer to TURO, TURO and the host are basically independent of each other. This means communication between you and the host and you and TURO are basically separate even though it is all done through the TURO app. Be advised that although the posting indicates the car is at PNS, in fact it is not located within the confines of the Pensacola airport. Instead the vehicle is to be picked up in a school parking lot just outside the airport. The charge for the vehicle to be “at” the airport is $70 each way (pick up and drop off). I may be missing something but nowhere in the reservation is this extra $140 expense declared before you contract the car and then you can change the pick up and/or the drop off charging the extra $140. The nuance here is after you land you have to get a ride from the terminal to the school parking lot or pay $70 to take the free airport shuttle to the economy lot. Drop off is the same issue. I had a 6:00am flight so I needed to drop the car off at 4:00am. I was not comfortable dropping off the car and then trying to hail a ride to the airport at 4:00am. So, another $70 to park the car in the economy lot at the airport. I suppose this is the usual way of doing things but at this point I was stuck. I assume the host determines this fee? Anyway, if you land and depart PNS in more normal hours, hailing a ride service to drive a very short distance to the school parking lot is probably no big deal but in the wee hours of the morning burdened with our luggage and not being familiar with the area or the dependability of securing a timely ride to the the terminal we had to pay the $70 drop off fee. We had a great trip and our experience was much better than dealing with any of the usual car rentals at the airport (and their many additional fees).

We booked the Honda HR-V while in town for a Bachelorette trip and it drove like a dream! The car is well taken care of and when needed to extend our reservation by 2 hours, it was no problem! I’m very pleased with my first Turo experience.

Car had a bit of dog hair and needed a little wipe down but overall the host was flexible. I booked this car reservation The night before my daughter’s birthday and just wanted something fun to drive her to her birthday dinner. My reservation was cancelled and I wasn’t refunded because I forgot to submit my drivers license in time. I had no idea that I would lose money and that there was a deadline if I didn’t submit my license by a certain time. I got a text and email at 4am the morning before I picked up, but like most people I was asleep and missed it. Lost the money, which is stupid but whatever. Rebooked the car. Paid again. And had an easy time picking up and dropping off. My daughter loved the surprise so that’s all that matters. It is irritating though that these days it seems like you need to be exxxxtra careful reading the time print to not lose money on a reservation for a little missed detail.

Pick up location was easy access, car wasn’t in the greatest cosmetic exterior condition for the price but it was fine and fit all our kids.

Our Turo experience was fantastic! The car was spotless, in excellent condition, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly kind, communicative, and easy to work with from start to finish, making the entire rental process seamless. Pickup and drop-off were simple, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely rent from them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, stress-free Turo trip!

great little rental for a weekend trip. god gas mileage, comfortable enough seats and enough room for our stuff. good value and communication from the host. the only thing i didn't love was the dog hair, if you have allergies like me, pop a a zyrtec and you'll be just fine.

Car was super clean and nice. Pickup and drop off was simple. Host was amazing. Will rent from Abby again! Perfect rental while my personal vehicle was being repaired.

Let me start off by saying Jennifer was a wonderful Hostess! She made the drop off and pickup seamless. She was always so helpful and accommodating. 10/10 recommend strictly for her being so wonderful. The car was dropped off clean and detailed. That new car type smell. It drove great to Panama city for some fun in the sun over the weekend. It was spacious for my two littles and felt safe the entire trip. Will definitely rent again ❤️

The car was in immaculate condition when I picked it up. The owner even took the time to have it washed and cleaned beforehand, which I really appreciated. She was incredibly friendly, communicative, and made the entire rental process easy and stress-free. If I ever need to rent a vehicle again, I would definitely rent from her without hesitation.

The host was very understanding great to work with and I would rent from this company again my trip to longer as expected but the host did a great job of communicating with me and letting me get enough time to drop off the car.

I usually rent from a traditional rental car company but this time I tried Turo. I would definitely use it again. The car was waiting for me, on time, at the agreed upon location. The car owner was very helpful when I needed info or guidance. The car was clean and drove well.

Was very easy to book, easy to pick up, car was clean! You have a little walk to the parking lot but no big deal. Overall we were very pleased!
