Volvo XC90 2020

The Volvo XC-90 made for a very enjoyable road trip to Richmond VA. I own a Volvo XC-40 Recharge (fully electric) and didn't want the hassle of extended battery recharging on the road. Most traditional car rental companies do not have Volvos in their rental fleet. A friend recommended that I try Turo and I'm so grateful. The entire process was smooth. I highly recommend Turo and will definitely use Turo for my next road trip!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Johan was an exceptional Turo host from start to finish. Our trip plans changed unexpectedly while we were in Virginia, and although we ultimately weren’t able to extend our reservation, Johan went above and beyond to help make the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible. Communication was excellent throughout the entire experience and he was responsive, flexible, proactive, and incredibly easy to coordinate with. When our travel logistics became more complicated than originally planned, Johan worked with us to coordinate a convenient return location at IAD so we could seamlessly transition into our next rental. That level of thoughtfulness and customer service made a huge difference for our family. The vehicle itself was exactly as described and the entire process felt simple and well organized. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent from Johan again and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and accommodating Turo host. Thank you again, Johan!

The car was a fantastic vehicle for all of my daily needs, and super comfortable for a few little roadtrips to visit family out of state! I am glad I had the four-wheel drive, I felt super safe in this car driving in the snow. There was plenty of leg room for guests and we used the fold down seats to move apartments - it was perfect and spacious! The car drives smoothly, has good gas mileage, and does well in the city and in the countryside. Million was so fantastic to work with - i even extended my trip an extra month! I plan to rent again. Thank you!!

The car is still in like new condition. I used it with FSD which made the trip so much more enjoyable. Not a lot of other hosts offer this. The pick up location was in the airport parking lot and the information he gave allowed us to locate the vehicle quickly. His return options were also more customer friendly than what is required by Turo and this ease allowed for a stress free drop off when it came to having it charged at a certain level. I would definitely rent again from him as he responds promptly and offered multiple drop off points for my benefit as well.

The Washington region beckons with world-class museums, iconic monuments, and charming neighborhoods that showcase American history and culture. Your rental SUV opens doors to the Smithsonian Institution, the majestic Lincoln Memorial, and the bustling streets of Georgetown. An SUV enhances your journey by providing comfortable seating for family or friends while offering excellent visibility of the city's impressive architecture. Beyond the capital, explore Virginia's wine country, historic Alexandria, or venture into Maryland's scenic landscapes, all easily accessible from your Dulles starting point.

National Mall and Smithsonian Museums

The National Mall stands as America's front yard, stretching from the Capitol Building to the Lincoln Memorial with world-renowned museums lining both sides. You'll find convenient parking structures near most Smithsonian locations, though arriving early helps secure closer spots. The elevated seating position in your rental SUV allows better navigation through D.C.'s busy traffic while providing clear views of the monuments as you approach. Consider exploring multiple museums during your visit, as the spacious interior accommodates any souvenirs or educational materials you collect along the way.

Historic Georgetown waterfront district

Georgetown's cobblestone streets and Federal-style architecture create one of Washington's most picturesque neighborhoods along the Potomac River. The area features excellent dining, boutique shopping, and scenic waterfront views that capture the essence of early American charm. Parking can be challenging in this historic district, so look for garage options rather than street parking. Your rental SUV provides easy access to explore beyond the main commercial area, including the peaceful Georgetown University campus and nearby residential streets lined with beautiful historic homes.

Great Falls Park Virginia wilderness escape

Great Falls Park offers dramatic waterfalls and rugged hiking trails just outside the metropolitan area, providing a refreshing natural contrast to urban sightseeing. The park features well-maintained roads leading to multiple overlooks where you can witness the Potomac River's powerful cascades. Your rental SUV handles the park's entrance roads comfortably while offering plenty of space for hiking gear, picnic supplies, and photography equipment. Several scenic viewpoints are accessible by car, making this destination perfect for visitors who want to experience Virginia's natural beauty without extensive walking. The park's visitor center provides educational exhibits about the area's geological formation and wildlife.

Mount Vernon George Washington's estate

Mount Vernon preserves George Washington's beloved plantation home along the Potomac River, offering insights into America's founding father's daily life. The estate features the mansion, beautiful gardens, and a working distillery that demonstrate 18th-century Virginia plantation life. Ample parking is available on-site, and the scenic drive along the George Washington Memorial Parkway provides beautiful river views. Your rental SUV allows you to explore the surrounding area, including nearby historic sites and charming Virginia countryside that Washington himself once traveled through these very roads.

Shenandoah National Park Blue Ridge Mountains

Shenandoah National Park stretches along Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, offering over 100 miles of scenic Skyline Drive with breathtaking valley views and hiking opportunities. The park entrance lies within comfortable driving distance from Dulles, making it perfect for day trips or weekend getaways. Your rental SUV provides excellent comfort for the winding mountain roads while offering superior visibility of the stunning vistas that unfold around each curve. Multiple overlooks and visitor centers dot the route, and the spacious interior accommodates camping gear, hiking equipment, or picnic supplies for extended outdoor adventures. Fall foliage season transforms this drive into one of America's most spectacular scenic routes.
