Hyundai rental in Palm Springs, CA

This was the most convenient, efficient way to rent a car for our time in Palm Springs! Eduardo was helpful and responsive. Vehicle was immaculately clean and comfortable.

Everything went smoothly and host could not have been better. He was available nearly the whole time, was open and generous with his time, and planned the rental to run smoothly and with minimum effort. Bravo! My only fault with the trip was probably mostly on my part as I somehow got the impression that the car was a midsize or full-size car rather than a compact SUV. I check other cars available but for some reason didn't do the same with this Hyundai SUV's and so ended up with a compact car that didn't fit me well as I am over six feet tall and had a difficult time squeezing myself into the driver seat. Still I managed OK and the car was in good shape and drove well, even in the mountain areas. Not a big problem, but advise prospective renters to double check the size and capacities of a car before you rent it!

Easy to follow instructions for pickup (instructions are automatically messaged to you two hours prior to the reservation start time). Clean car. Pretty good gas mileage for a truck. The trunk has space for two checked luggage bags and two carryons while the bed cover is closed. Overall a great experience.

I am considering buying an EV, and have focused on either a Tesla 3 or the Ioniq 5. So I rented each vehicle for a week apiece to personally experience each. In terms of this Ioniq rental, Sumit was a fantastic host. He met me at the pickup spot on time, offered helpful tips—how to safely open and close the charging port, how to navigate the computer interface, where to find local public charging stations, etc—eagerly shared his enjoyment of the Ioniq, and even agreed to meet me again the next morning to provide the owner’s guide and Type 1 charging cable. The car itself was spotlessly clean. In comparison to the Tesla the Ioniq drove like a luxury vehicle—smoother handling, more familiar driving controls, a seemingly larger interior, and a reliable Type 1 recharging system. (By comparison the Tesla charger kept halting for reasons unknown, forcing me to use paid public charging stations.) But my husband missed the driving-assist elements provided in the Tesla—the Ioniq has no self-driving features and no traffic details on the displayed maps. Overall this was a terrific rental experience!
