If you want to rent a car, go rent a car. If you want to drive around like a local, rent from Esteban! Loved spending the week kicking around Maui in this Toyota Sienna. Spacious, solid, sturdy, complete with Maui bumper stickers… Really felt like I was living the island life. The van is older but well maintained, AC in working order, drives well and smoothly. Pick up and drop off was super seamless. Would happily recommend to families visit Maui!

I will break my car rental experience (November, 2025) into 3 parts: Turo, car provider and vehicle. Turo. First time to use this app. Overall, simple and intuitive to use. It is a good option when compared to the traditional car rental companies. It was really nice not having to wait at the service rental counter. Car provider. Once you finish with the Turo process, you finalize all the details with the car owner. Daniel was exceptional to work with. He was timely and thorough with his responses to all my inquiries. Our flight arrived earlier than scheduled. I contacted Daniel and he had the car immediately available for my use. He was honest and trustworthy. At the end of the trip, I identified what I thought was a new chip in the paint. He reported it was present before the rental and not an issue. There is comfort in knowing there was no hidden agenda. Vehicle, Toyota Corolla, 2015. Don't let the age or size of the car deter you. The car was clean, dependable and satisfied all of my needs for 2 people. Hawaii may be dramatic with its natural wonders, but it is stingy with the parking spaces and roads (think road to Hana and Haleakala Volcano). We were happy to be driving this car instead of the SUVs and Jeeps that populated the parking lots and narrow, twisting roads. Overall, I would recommend Turo and HIGHLY recommend Daniel and his Toyota Corolla for your car rental needs in Maui.

The Toyota Sienna was immaculate and such a fun car to haul 5 women in. We had 5 large suitcases. 3 medium, and 5 backpacks backpacks. It was tight but we got it all in. Danny was so attentive and responsive. Comparing my next car on Kauai from Budget, the car was not only dirty but still wet, inside and out. It was just as big and cost me much more. Danny's price was reasonable. I highly recommend Turo and Danny's car.

We had a great trip and really enjoyed using this car during our time on Maui. The car was reliable, easy to drive, and surprisingly fuel-efficient, which was definitely a big plus considering the gas prices on the island. The A/C worked perfectly, and everything in the car was in great condition. The host was fantastic and very easy to communicate with. We were able to extend our trip on short notice, and the whole process was smooth and hassle-free. The pickup instructions were clear, the car was easy to find, and everything went exactly as expected. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. We would definitely rent from this host again and highly recommend both the car and the host to future renters! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing and very fuel-efficient car! I highly recommend renting this car to anyone vacationing in Maui. We only used about 1/4 tank of gas during our 3-night stay, and that even included our Road to Hāna trip. It was incredibly reliable, comfortable, and perfect for exploring the island. The host was also very easy to communicate with and made the whole experience seamless. We really appreciated all the thoughtful extras, including bottled water, car seat covers, and paper towels. Those little touches made a big difference. Thank you for a wonderful rental experience! We would definitely rent from you again and highly recommend both the car and the host.

The car was clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown in the pictures. It drove great, and I had no issues throughout my trip. I would definitely recommend renting this car and would happily rent it again the next time I visit.

The Toyota Tacoma is the unofficial vehicle of Maui - this is how you blend in when on the island and not look like a tourist! Jesse’s Tacoma worked flawlessly and went everywhere we needed to go. We didn’t ever go off road, but we did drive to Hana and up to see the sun set in the National Park. Would gladly use this Tacoma again. Easy pickup and drop off and gas mileage was good for a truck.
