I am not used to driving a little car but it was great for this trip! I am seeing more and more Turo advertised on site airport parking and then it’s an offsite shuttle that has to be taken. This was one of those. The instructions were kind of confusing as there were other letter/numbered lanes before getting to the correct ones, when following the directions step by step. There also weren’t any signs for the specific shuttle, just had to look for it when it pulled up. Still easy enough and a better option than a rental counter in my opinion, just something I didn’t remember seeing when I initially booked this car. Responses were prompt when I had questions, and overall it was a great experience.

My rental car got cancelled mid flight when coming into Nashville. There were no cars available at the airport, as well as several different locations across Nashville, including nearby my hotel. I was so frustrated with the rental car companies because everytime I would book a car the location would call and cancel because they had no cars in there lot. I had no other option but to try Turo and was hesistant because I had never used it. It was honestly a very good experience, the car drove so smooth, and the host kept checking in to make sure everything was okay. Any issues I had, I was able to communicate. Pickup and return instructions were so simple and easy to follow, nothing complicated at all. I would have thought that booking so last minute a car, the price was going to be so expensive but I feel like this was so much cheaper in comparison to getting from a rental car company. I would recommend using Turo and this host again!! Such excellent service!!

This was my first time using Turo, and let me tell you—I don’t think I’ll ever rent a car from anywhere else again! This experience exceeded all of my expectations. The car was immaculate, exactly as described, and drove perfectly. Zach was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made both pickup and drop-off effortless. Everything was smooth, convenient, and stress-free from beginning to end. Thank you for making my first Turo experience such an amazing one. I will absolutely book with you again and highly recommend you to anyone looking for a reliable car and exceptional service!

Give your self at minimum 50 min from car to airport. The parking lot where the car is, the shuttles take 20 min and then 15 min to load up before leaving again. I was 10 min away from the doors closing on my flight. Inconvenient, it’s a great price though!

Who is monthly car rental in Nashville for?

Just relocated to Nashville

Nashville's job market is pulling in thousands of new residents — major employers like Oracle, HCA Healthcare, Vanderbilt, and AllianceBernstein have turned the city into a corporate relocation magnet. If you've just landed, a monthly rental gives you a car right away while you figure out your commute, your neighborhood, and whether you even need to buy. Consider it a car ownership alternative that keeps your options open.

Lease just ended — or just sold your car

You're between vehicles, and the last thing you want is to rush into a purchase at a dealership. A monthly rental on Turo bridges that gap — drive what you need while you take your time deciding what to buy, or whether buying makes sense at all. No pressure, no credit checks, no depreciation the moment you sign.

Extended work assignment or traveling professional

Nashville's healthcare sector — anchored by Vanderbilt University Medical Center and HCA Healthcare — draws traveling nurses, contractors, and project-based professionals on defined-period stays. Whether you're here for 10 weeks or six months, a monthly rental is more affordable than short-term daily rates and far simpler than buying a car you'll eventually sell.

Post-college or first car

Graduating from Vanderbilt or Belmont and starting your career in Nashville? A monthly rental lets you drive what you need without taking on a car loan with limited credit history. Keep your options open, stay on budget, and swap to something different if your life changes — because it probably will.

Pickup locations for monthly car rental in Nashville

Purple squiggle

Nashville International Airport (BNA)

If you're flying into Nashville for an extended stay, you can arrange car pickup right at BNA. Turo has an active delivery permit at the airport, so coordinating a handoff when you land is straightforward. The airport is about eight to 10 miles from downtown — a 12 to 20-minute drive on I-40 — making it a convenient starting point for your monthly rental.

The Gulch and Midtown

The Gulch and Midtown sit at the center of Nashville's energy — walkable, packed with restaurants and offices, and popular with young professionals relocating for work. For monthly renters settling into this part of the city, picking up a car nearby means you're ready to explore beyond downtown and handle a daily commute from day one.

East Nashville

East Nashville has become one of the city's most popular residential areas for relocators, remote workers, and creative professionals drawn by its neighborhood feel and more affordable rents. If you're renting month-to-month in East Nashville, having a car nearby keeps the rest of the city — and your daily routine — within easy reach.

Top tips for monthly car rental in Nashville

Before you book a long-term car rental in Nashville, here are a few things worth knowing to get the most out of your time and your budget.

Finding the best deal

Use the duration filter on Turo to find cars with 30+ day discounts — that's where the deepest savings are. Many Nashville listings also offer reduced rates for seven-day and 14-day bookings. Browse by price range, compare a few options, and book in advance when you can. Earlier booking often means a wider selection.

How to pick a car

For a monthly rental you'll drive every day, prioritize fuel efficiency and comfort over flash. Reliable sedans, compact SUVs, and hatchbacks tend to offer the best value for daily commuting. Think about cargo space, passenger needs, and whether you'll want the savings of a fuel-efficient car on Nashville's highways.

Road rules and conditions in Nashville

Tennessee requires front-seat occupants to wear seat belts and has child restraint laws for younger passengers. Right turns on red are allowed after a complete stop unless posted otherwise. Speed limits vary — generally 25 to 30 mph in urban areas and up to 70 mph on interstates like I-40 and I-65. School zones are strictly enforced during posted hours. Browse car rental in Tennessee for more options across the state.

Parking in Nashville

Downtown Nashville has metered street parking with time-limited enforcement during business hours on weekdays — check posted signs for current hours and rates. If you're renting monthly and living or working downtown, a monthly parking garage pass is worth looking into. Several garages offer monthly rates that beat paying meters every day.

Toll roads in Nashville

Good news — Nashville's highway system is toll-free. The major routes you'll use daily, including I-40, I-65, I-24, and Briley Parkway, don't charge tolls. One less expense to factor into your monthly budget.

Gas and EV charging in Nashville

Gas stations are easy to find throughout Nashville, with several along Donelson Pike and Murfreesboro Pike near BNA. If you rent an electric vehicle, the city's EV charging network is growing — look for Tesla Superchargers and universal charging stations at shopping centers and hotels around the metro area.

Types of cars available in Nashville

You'll find a wide selection of practical, everyday cars for monthly rental in Nashville — think reliable sedans from Toyota and Honda, fuel-efficient compacts from Hyundai and Kia, and family-friendly SUVs built for daily driving. The majority of monthly supply skews affordable and functional, so you can find something that fits your budget and your routine.
