The car was in excellent condition and looked almost brand new. The pickup process was very simple and smooth, making the entire experience stress-free. The car was comfortable to drive, fuel-efficient, and performed great throughout our trip. The price was also very reasonable, which made the rental an even better value. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely deserves 5 stars, and I would happily rent from this host again!
Great communication with Jonathan and Jase. Had a really enjoyable time in Nashville and these guys really looked out for me when I was in a bind. Long story short: One of the rental car companies attempted to scam me after I already had a paid reservation with them weeks earlier. The rest of the rental companies were either sold out or they were asking an absurd amount per day. I highly recommend this car and turo host if you need to get around Nashville!
Thank you so much, love your car....I'm sorry if I didn't park it in the right spot...I went through the car rental part

I had an amazing experience renting from this host! After dealing with car trouble, I decided to rent instead of relying on Uber, and it was the best decision. I’ve rented two of his cars for long-term use, and both were spotless, well-maintained, and newer models. What really stood out were the weekly discounts, which made it so much easier to extend my rental until I got my own car. The host was also very communicative and easy to work with throughout the entire process. If you’re looking for a reliable ride or need something long term, this is definitely the host to go with. I highly recommend him to anyone , and I’ll be sending all my friends and family his way if they ever need a rental. Thank you, Nashville Car Rental, for your excellent service!

Great find on short notice. Justin and his team were highly responsive. Well-managed TURO solution for your car rental needs.
Robert was an exceptional host that went above and beyond in order to help me out with my first trip. The car itself is nothing fancy. There is no Bluetooth and not much else besides the air conditioning. The wheels are small which is not ideal for the poorly kept Tennessee roads. However, this was the best price rental car on the market that had solid reviews. You get what you pay for! Robert the host is quick to reply and will help out with anything. He's a solid guy.

Everything was super easy! All instructions were clear and the host communicated flawlessly! I had a last minute flight cancellation and the host was very understanding and professional. He ensured we had the vehicle ready for when we arrived. Car was clean and in great shape! Very economic and reliable compact vehicle with ample space! And the price was super reasonable!! Rent with him for your car rental needs! You won't regret it! This is the vehicle you need!!
Easiest rental I have ever had to deal with. Top notch. I will definitely be coming back to rent cars. Amazing

I Truly Enjoyed The Car . It’s A Great Family Car and Rides Smoothly . Also It’s Great On Miles Per Gallon . Which Is A Bonus With Current Gas Prices . I Highly Recommend and Will Be Booking Again Within 2 Months .

Car was amazing especially at its price point. Vehicle was clean, and has a great host. Definitely use the airport pickup option, its so convenient and free! Great gas mileage, and handles well. FYI no android auto, so just plan to have your phone as ypru GPS if youre not used to that.

Great trip, great car, unusually efficient and well kept for its age. I would rent again. Odil has done a great job maintaining the appearance and maintenance of the vehicle. It runs great and is great on gas. Thanks!!! Too late to rent from my usual rental car co so Turo was a great option. Thanks again!!!

Very nice, clean car, at a great price! Host was very cordial. Will def use again!
Wonderful! Easy to use. This host in particular is very nice and understanding. They worked with me when I became ill and could not return the vehicle at the designated time. Well worth using instead of the traditional car rental companies.

Great car and an even better host! Communication was excellent—pickup and drop-off were a breeze. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid alternative to traditional car rental companies.

Car worked great for our trip. Pickup and dropoff instructions were clear and we were able to do both with ease. Would rent this car again.

Tennessee towns range from big and bustling to small and sweet, offering something for every kind of traveler. If Memphis is the birthplace of rock 'n' roll, then Nashville is where country music really got its start – and decades later, it's become a shrine to some of the best artists in history. During your visit to the Music City, take in a concert at the Grand Ole Opry, easily the most legendary venue in the US. Then, hit up the Country Music Hall of Fame to learn more about the icons that shaped the industry. Of course, there are other sights to see in Nashville, too, including museums, honky-tonk bars, and restaurants serving up mouth-watering hot chicken and Nashville-style barbecue.
On the North Carolina-Tennessee border, you'll find Great Smoky Mountains National Park – a natural wonder comprised of rolling hills, towering clifftops, and free-flowing waterfalls and streams. As the most visited national park in the United States, the Great Smoky Mountains has a reputation for being family-friendly, with over 850 miles of hiking trails spanning all difficulty levels. As well as camping and wildlife spotting, it's also a great place to take a scenic drive, so be sure to rent a car that's up to the task, like an all-wheel drive or compact SUV.
No trip to Tennessee is complete without visiting Graceland, the family home and final resting place of the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley himself. Located in south Memphis, just a short drive from the downtown area, Graceland has been turned into a museum and historical site that's open for daily public viewings. Here, you can see the Presley family plot where Elvis is buried, and explore the mansion's gorgeous grounds and beautiful interiors up close while you learn more about his life and contributions to the fabric of rock 'n' roll.

When you book with Turo, you'll have your pick of hundreds of convenient rental locations in Tennessee. Cruise through big cities with glittering reputations, or take the road less traveled as you explore smaller gems like Clarksville and Murfreesboro.
If you're jetting into the Music City, make things easy for yourself by collecting your Tennessee car rental at Nashville International Airport. Once you've landed, there's no need to linger at the busy airport car rental counter. Instead, you'll be able to head straight to one of the approved airport parking lots (Terminal Lot A, Economy Lot B, or Economy Lot C) to collect your vehicle and begin your adventure.
Hit the road in the Home of the Blues by organizing a rental car that's ready for you once you land at Memphis International Airport. When you use Turo, you can disembark your flight, breeze through baggage claim, and meet your host or collect your car from a pre-arranged location just outside of the airport grounds. None of the fuss, all of the freedom.
Top Tennessee cities like Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga blend Southern charm with modern mindsets, making them both popular cities to move to and great picks for a vacation. Once you know where you're headed, use Turo's search filters to narrow down by pickup locations, such as popular accommodation spots and local landmarks downtown.
Knowing the roads before you go is paramount when driving anywhere new, even in a state as relaxed and friendly as Tennessee. Give yourself the best shot at a stress-free visit by brushing up on major road rules and getting your bearings first – here are our top tips.
To rent a car on Turo, you must create a Turo account, be 18 years old or older with a valid driver’s license, and get approved to drive on Turo. When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through an approval process by entering your driver’s license information by providing a photo of it and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for future road trips, business trips, and family vacations!
When driving in Tennessee, always stick to the state's road rules to stay safe and avoid any fines. Basic laws include driving on the right-hand side of the road, obeying road signage and speed limits, using your turn signal when turning, merging, or changing lanes, wearing a seatbelt, and only using your phone hands-free. Tennessee, like many other states, has enacted a "Hands-Free" law that prohibits holding your phone while driving.
Speed limits throughout Tennessee will vary from city to city, but as a guide, they start at 30 miles per hour (mph) on residential roads. Undivided roads carry a general speed limit of 55 mph, whereas divided roads are usually capped at 65 mph. You can speed up a little on freeways, with a typical limit of 70 mph.
While Tennessee doesn't have too many unique road rules, there are a couple of laws that aren't utilised in every US state to be aware of. Tennessee was the 30th state to implement the "Move Over Law", which requires drivers to change lanes or reduce their speeds when passing by a stationary emergency or utility vehicle with its hazard lights turned on on the side of the road. The Volunteer State has also adopted the "Slow Poke Law", which prohibits driving in the left-hand lane unless you're trying to overtake another vehicle; otherwise, you must always stick to the right-hand lanes.
Tennessee's weather really varies year-round – think light snowfall in the winter, blistering heat in the summer, and rain and thunderstorms in the shoulder seasons. Always drive prepared by carrying an emergency kit in your trunk, and don't get behind the wheel if weather conditions are severe. Snow and ice don't tend to get too out-of-control in the winter, but on occasion, you may need to utilise snow tires or chains for better traction on the roads, especially if you're venturing to a rural area like the Great Smoky Mountains.
There are no toll roads in the entire state of Tennessee, so you can navigate the area freely in your rental car without a worry. If you do plan on crossing into one of the eight states that border Tennessee, though, be sure to check whether they have any tollways to avoid being caught out!
Locking in a car rental in Tennessee isn't 100% necessary if you're just visiting big cities like Memphis and Nashville, but if you plan on exploring the state more widely, it's a must-do. From behind the wheel of your own rental car, you'll have the freedom to see natural wonders up close, drive down iconic roads like Memphis's Beale Street, and visit major attractions at your own pace. It's particularly helpful to have your own car rental in Tennessee if you want to visit the Great Smoky Mountains, as they can be hard to reach without driving.
- Vacation car rental: Major cities like Nashville and Memphis are popular tourist destinations, whether you're traveling with family, friends, or by yourself. Zip around your local area in a stylish sedan like the Toyota Corolla, or embark on a Tennessee road trip in a comfortable SUV like the KIA Seltos or BMW X5.
- Work car rental: Doing business in the Volunteer State? Lock in a Tennessee car rental to guarantee you never miss a meeting, client catch-up, or long business lunch. Models like the Genesis G70 or Lexus RX are great for executives looking to make an impression, whereas affordable car rentals, including the Nissan Versa and Mitsubishi Mirage, won't break the bank (or the company credit card).
- Long-term car rental: Tennessee is a fantastic place to live, whether you love the hustle and bustle of Memphis or the laid-back, welcoming vibe of Knoxville. If you're considering relocating or visiting for a while, explore long-term car rentals on Turo, with heaps of vehicles available for a month or longer, including the popular Buick Encore GX and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.
You'll find Tennessee car rentals of all shapes, sizes, makes, and models on the Turo marketplace. Cruise down country roads in a spacious SUV like the Land Rover Discovery Sport, or navigate your favorite Tennessee cities in a slick electric vehicle like the Tesla Model 3. There are also pickup trucks, mini vans, traditional sedans, compact cars, and even convertibles to explore – your journey is entirely in your hands. Unlike other car rental companies, when you book on Turo, you'll enjoy maximum freedom and flexibility, and always receive the exact vehicle you selected at checkout.
The cost of car rental in Tennessee can vary depending on car type, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap car rental in Tennessee, look out for discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.
Nashville and Memphis rental counters generally require you to be 21. On Turo, the minimum age is 18. Turo gives 18-year-old musicians and travelers in Tennessee a way to move around, offering rentals that the big companies restrict to older drivers.
