This host and truck were amazing! The room in the back seat was spacious and comfortable. Also, all 10 large luggage b pieces fit perfectly on the bed of the truck. Recommend this truck rental over a rental company SUV.

Absolutely awesome experience all the way around. The Cybertruck was insane to drive, super clean, and honestly even cooler in person than I expected. Total head-turner everywhere it went. And FSD? NO FREAKING WAY. I didn’t even know it had Full Self-Driving until I got in, and that made the whole thing even more ridiculous. Absolutely amazing experience and genuinely felt like driving the future around. The hosts were great, easy to work with, responsive, and made the whole pickup/drop-off process smooth and simple. You can tell they actually care about making it a great rental experience. If you’re thinking about renting this thing, do it. Ridiculously fun, crazy unique, and the whole experience was an Elon-Musk-King-of-Mars out of 10. Will absolutely rent from them again. 🚀🥳🤌

Where to start: the host was ALWAYS available for any sort of question, even 3 weeks before the trip. The pickup was flawless, it just all worked perfectly. We were given heads-ups regarding the shuttle, and Marvin was always there when I had a question. When picking up the truck, we weren't prompted with nasty additional costs. And not to mention how cheap supercharging is. The Truck is a mind blowing vehicle, paired with FSD, there are no words to describe it. 17 days of roadtrip on FSD, without any critical intervention. Plus it saved a squirrel, a deer, a homeless person stumbling into the street and us from being side-swiped off the road by rednecks. Thank you Marvin and Host, we might just chose the same place for vacation because of this fantastic experience! See you

Car is awesome. Drives great, right size and love the big screen with wireless CarPlay. Host was friendly and easy to work with. FYI: you will have to coordinate with host to get the car. He will come pick you up from arrivals and drive you to car closeby. Was an easy and smooth process both ways. However don’t plan to arrive with 5 and a full car.

Top tips for renting a truck in Nashville

Coming to Nashville is sure to be a great time, especially if you take time to plan ahead. Here are some tips you can use to ensure smooth travels and a stress-free experience in a truck rental.

What is parking a truck like in Nashville?

Parking a truck in Nashville is usually doable, but you'll need to prepare ahead since downtown spots are tighter. You won't have to worry about a shortage of parking, but depending on the size of your rental, you may need to choose a garage or lot with larger spaces. Just be sure to double-check the clearance signs when pulling into parking garages since many of them have height restrictions.

How to choose the right type of truck for your Nashville trip

When choosing a truck, it's important to consider the number of passengers and the weight you'll be carrying. You'll also want to think about whether you plan to spend most of your time downtown or exploring the surrounding areas. Parking downtown is much easier when you're in a smaller or mid-sized truck.

Loading a truck

Any time you load a truck with tools, camping gear, or luggage, you should evenly distribute the weight in the truck bed. This helps maintain balance and also assists with better handling if you need to brake suddenly. Make sure to tie all items down with straps, so nothing will shift as you go around curves. If you're stacking items, remember to place heavier pieces on the bottom so they don't tip over.

Gas stations and EV chargers in Nashville

Nashville has tons of gas stations scattered throughout the city. The only time you may come across areas with limited services is if you go toward the more rural outskirts or travel to smaller nearby towns. Always make sure to verify whether you're driving a gas or diesel truck so you don't put the wrong type of fuel in it. EV chargers are available at many of the local hotels, shopping centers, and public parking garages.

What kind of license do I need to rent a car on Turo?

Turo accepts valid licenses (not expired, suspended, or revoked) that allow for full driving privileges; this includes driver’s licenses issued outside of the US. Learner’s permit/instruction permits are not accepted.

How does car rental insurance work on Turo?

No, you don’t need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo.

In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that’s right for you. On each trip, you’re covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.*

In New York state, you’ll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you’re covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.

On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.

Can other people drive the car that I rented?

Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.

To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.

* Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. In the US, liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host’s vehicle.

For questions or information about the third party liability insurance that is included in protection plans, consumers in Maryland and the licensed states listed here may contact Turo Insurance Agency at (415) 508-0283 or claims@turo.agency.
