It was my first time using Turo and had a great experience using the car for our family of 8 to explore the island. Car was clean, comfortable, and offered plenty of space! Shantel was great at communication and responded within minutes. I would definitely rent this minivan again when I come back for future trips!
The minivan was in excellent condition and was wonderful for our trip all over the Island. Thanks you!

Got to be a minivan mom for a week :) the remote control for doors were the best
Great, clean vehicle for our family vacation. We had two young kids and the host had car seats installed for us! Very easy pick up/drop off and great communication.

John is great, prompt an punctual My other rental didn’t work out so I was stuck at the airport. I rented his vehicle an in less then an hour he had it delivered (life saver) it ran great an fit our family if 8 comfortably. He definitely saved our day since I was driving all the way to Hilo. The only thing is I didn’t realize that unless the Turo host specifically say you can go on a dirt road it against turo’s policy. So make sure you ask your host ahead of time if that is ok with their rental. Especially if you planing on visiting friends or family many people live on unpaved roads an driveways in big island. Besides that it was great

An overall great experience renting from Jeff! Communication was excellent! The van was in great condition and perfect for our family of 6 and all our luggage. There was also phone chargers in the glove box! Pick up and drop off very simple and easy. Will definitely rent again when we return.
all areas of this car rental were very smooth, very helpful host, would recommend him.

Best experience with a family! This car is amazing and took us wherever we needed. AC is great, drive smoothly and has space for everyone! Host is extremely kind and communicative! I highly recommend it.

Kenji is the most amazing host, reliable and kind and is a game changer for souls landing in paradise with a ton of luggage not wanting to endure the rental car slog. And he is a good soul. I highly recommend him.
The vehicle is in good condition and very clean .Owner is easy to deal with . Highly recommend.

I loved using this turo van! Last minute the vehicle truck i had just for one day had broke down so I had to last minute find a vehicle to fit my family in it and be 4 wheel. I always get trucks and 4 wheels. Thank God host answered when I needed the van and under 12 hour notice upon availability. I enjoyed this van it saved on gas so for the whole week I had only put gas once upon traveling far!!thank you so much, they were kind and responded quickly! Will rent again
Everything was smooth we really appreciated the host letting us extend our trip by 1 hour

Clean car, excellent service! Would choose this vehicle again for our next trip.

No, you don't need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo. In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host's vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you'll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that's right for you. On each trip, you're covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.* In New York state, you'll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you're covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.
Hawaii operates under right-hand traffic rules with posted speed limits typically ranging from 25-55 mph on most island roads. Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers, and cell phone use while driving requires hands-free devices. Your rental car should be equipped for Hawaii's tropical climate, and it's wise to familiarize yourself with local parking regulations in Kona's downtown area.
Multiple gas stations operate along Queen Kaahumanu Highway between the airport and downtown Kona, ensuring convenient fuel access for your rental car. Electric vehicle charging stations are available at various shopping centers and hotels throughout the Kailua-Kona area. The airport vicinity features several fuel options, making it easy to top off your tank before returning your car rental.
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you'll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you'll see the total miles or kilometers you're allowed to drive under the heading "Distance included." You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the "Unlimited distance" filter.
