Tesla rental in Pasadena, CA

My original Turo reservation was canceled, and Rich’s Tesla was the closest available alternative. I’m personally not a Tesla fan, but the car functioned well and did exactly what I needed it to do. As with many Teslas, there is some extra setup involved compared with a traditional vehicle—or even some other EVs—including downloading apps, registering, and taking time to familiarize yourself with the controls. App access may be convenient for some renters, but not everyone wants to create an account or provide additional information to Tesla just to use a rental. In my experience, simply leaving the Tesla key card is sufficient; other Tesla hosts I’ve rented from have remotely unlocked the vehicle when I messaged them, and I used the card from there. Charging can also require a little more planning since many public stations use CCS or slower J1772 connections. Rich thoughtfully included an adapter, which was very helpful. Rich was attentive and responsive throughout the rental. My only other concern was the additional requirement to take a selfie holding my driver’s license, especially since I was picking up the vehicle at night. That felt unnecessary and beyond what I’ve encountered with Turo or other Tesla rentals. Other than that, mission accomplished. I was very grateful that the vehicle was available on short notice after my original reservation fell through. Thanks, Rich.

This car exceeded my expectations. The battery health was top tier. Charging was the most efficiency i’ve ever experience. It also seemed as if i was in a 2027 model tesla. the driver door would wing open as i approached the vehicle. It was so smooth

Mark was a great host. Very responsive, helpful, and made the contactless pickup and drop-off quick and easy. The Tesla Model 3 was very clean, in great condition, and such a smooth ride. I had so much fun driving it around and will honestly miss the car. Grateful for the experience and would definitely rent from Mark again.

The best host. The best car. I rent Teslas almost exclusively and this was to first host I saw that pointed out that the car was FSD ready. Very communicative host and super accommodating. Will rent again!!!

Car feels brand new! Carlos is an incredible host - very responsive and accommodating to requests. Will definitely use his Tesla again when we’re back in LA.

Host was great, car was good, the pickup location was not the safest area - had to drive through flooded roads and a slightly scary parking lot next to checkin.

Car was great first time in a Tesla took it to Vegas n back from LA loved it.

I can’t gush enough about this vehicle. Convenience, novelty, comfort, safety. As a mother of a young child, I have never felt more safe and capable driving through a rainstorm in the Cajon Pass. My son was loving the doors and how he was able to open and close himself in. Auto Steer was a game changer for our road trip, kept fatigue at bay. It was an absolute dream and I can’t wait to rent again whenever possible.
