Overall, I really enjoyed renting the Tesla. It’s a fun car to drive, comfortable, and the technology is impressive. It made for a great road trip experience. That said, I was disappointed by how many of the Tesla features were restricted. One of the biggest reasons people choose to rent a Tesla is to experience the technology, especially features like Autopilot and the advanced driving functions. Restricting so much of what makes the vehicle unique takes away from the experience. It feels like renting something special but only being allowed to use part of it. I also found the mileage information confusing. The rental listed 1,000 miles in one place and 600 miles in another. Clear, consistent information would help renters understand exactly what they’re getting and avoid unnecessary confusion. My only other concern was the vehicle’s efficiency. It didn’t seem to deliver the range I expected, and I couldn’t tell whether certain settings were contributing to the increased battery usage because so many vehicle controls were locked down by the rental program. Giving renters access to more of the standard energy and driving settings, or at least explaining what is restricted, would make for a much better experience. The car itself is fantastic. I just wish the rental experience allowed customers to enjoy more of what makes owning and driving a Tesla so special.

If I could give more than a five star I would. If you are looking to rent a car on Turo, I highly recommended the Tesla from host Brixio. He replies to your messages right away, the car was clean and had no issues the whole trip. Brixio is a great host because he is very understanding like when my return was delayed (unintentionally). Great experience and would definitely rent the Tesla from Brixio or any car he has on Turo again.
