Ford Focus 2017

Easy pick up , car is okay other than the traction control, The traction control or stability control system may be turned off, because it stayed on without blinking or there could be a fault that needs diagnosis, i say that only because it wasnt safe to drive during the rain , The risk of losing control during sudden maneuvers can be higher, You won't have the extra assistance from traction control and stability control, The vehicle may be more likely to spin its wheels during acceleration on wet or loose surfaces

What are the road rules and driving conditions in Mesquite?

It's easy to get around Mesquite by car, as major routes like I-635, US-80, and I-30 run through the city, linking it to nearby areas, including Dallas and Garland.

Traffic in Mesquite is generally lighter than downtown Dallas, but there can still be congestion during the typical weekday rush hours. This is especially so around major shopping centers like Town East Mall on weekends and during the holiday season.

Always follow the posted speed limit signs as you get around town in your rental car. In Texas, the speed limit is generally 30 mph in urban areas and around 70 mph on highways. Be aware of special speed limits near school zones and construction areas, where the limit may be lower than usual.

Summers in Mesquite can get extremely hot, so make sure your AC is running and avoid leaving valuables or electronics in a parked car. Winters are mild, but occasional storms can bring heavy rain and low visibility, particularly on open stretches of highway. Be cautious of flash flooding during sudden downpours, as certain low-lying roads may flood quickly. If you see water across the road, it’s safest to wait or find another route.

What is parking like in Mesquite?

There's a mix of free street and surface lot parking throughout downtown Mesquite. Most shopping areas, like Town East Mall, and public attractions have lots nearby as well. You rarely need to pay for parking, but always check for posted signs near popular attractions or special events.
