Rented this last minute because my Mom didn't tell me until the day before my trip that she had no car. Was pretty easy for the most part. Finding the shuttle at the airport for the car rental area, was a little difficult for me. But you can always ask someone at the airport. Then I followed Turo given directions to the car. It's outside of the rental area but still easy to find because the lot is literally labeled "Turo." As for the car, I DID NOT MIND these "problems" with the car at all, but you should be informed that the car: Cons - Smelled INTENSELY LIKE WEED. I tried to spray it with multiple Febreze, etc. It helped but it still stinks a bit. - The car door lock was extremely finicky, you must PRESS AND HOLD the button it seems. - Crumbs in the backseat (no big deal) - Not sure but seems like occasional light scraping sound sometimes when driving around on normal road. - Not a problem per se, but just know the car has quite a bit of scratches compared to other Turo rentals. Just be sure to document as much as you can. Pros - Good Value for the price - ICE COLD A/C. (Although I visited in winter, so idk how it holds up to the Vegas heat, but again better than my childhood cars with zero A/C) - Pretty quiet car overall (I mention the scrape for the owner to consider getting it checked out, but nothing to make you feel embarrassed while driving.) Overall, I grew up poor, and this car was much better than most of the ones of my childhood, so I didn't mind at all. Just tried my best to document them that's all. But anyone renting who these things might bother should be aware of it. Anyways, thank you so much Nick!!! I would definitely rent again!

Chevrolet Impala 2016

Vincent's 2016 Chevy Impala was an excellent rental. The car was clean, comfortable, and provided a very smooth ride throughout our trip. It was also great on gas, which made traveling around Las Vegas and beyond much more affordable. Vincent was incredibly friendly, responsive, and very hospitable. He made the entire rental process easy and stress-free from beginning to end. I truly appreciated his professionalism and excellent communication. I would definitely rent from Vincent again, and when I return to Las Vegas, he'll be my first choice. Highly recommended!

Nissan Versa 2024

The host was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating. Every time I contacted him, he did his best to consider my situation, which I truly appreciated. I also really liked the car. Its fuel efficiency was absolutely incredible. The only downside was that the A/C filter seemed to need cleaning, so there was a slight odor when the air conditioner was on. If the price is reasonable, McQueen's car will definitely be my first choice for my business trip next year. I am extremely satisfied with my experience. I can confidently recommend him to anyone considering renting a car.

The car works great. The owner is so helpful and easy to communicate with. The cargot us to Lake Havasu City to visit family and back to Las Vegas safely and easily. The best part is not having to deal with the nightmare car rental center for the airport. I would rent again.

Who is monthly car rental in Las Vegas for?

Just relocated to Las Vegas

Tens of thousands of people move to Las Vegas from California every year, and the Hawaii transplant community keeps growing too. If you've just landed a job in hospitality, healthcare, or tech, you're probably not ready to buy a car before you even know whether your commute runs through Summerlin or Henderson. A monthly rental is a practical car ownership alternative — drive what you need while you figure out where life in Vegas takes you.

Lease just ended — or just sold your car

You're between cars, and the last thing you want is to rush into a used car purchase at a dealership because you need wheels tomorrow. A monthly rental on Turo gives you breathing room. Take your time, test different neighborhoods, and decide what kind of car actually fits your life now. Extend as long as you need — no pressure, no deadline.

Extended work assignment or traveling professional

Traveling nurses rotating through Valley Hospital or UMC, convention staff working seasonal events on the Strip, construction project managers on six-month builds — Las Vegas runs on people here for defined stretches. Monthly pricing on Turo is significantly more competitive than short-term rates for these kinds of stays, and you can rent a car for a month in Las Vegas without signing a stack of paperwork.

Post-college or first car

Just graduated from UNLV and not exactly sitting on a car fund? A monthly rental gives you a reliable car without a loan, a credit check, or a five-year commitment. You can drive a fuel-efficient sedan or compact SUVs on a tight budget while you figure out your first job, your first apartment, and everything else that comes next.

Pickup locations for monthly car rental in Las Vegas

Purple squiggle

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)

If you're flying into Las Vegas for an extended stay, you can pick up a car right near the airport. Turo operates from a designated lot at 7135 Gilespie Street, adjacent to the LAS Rent-A-Car Center — so you won't need to arrange a separate ride into the city. It's a convenient starting point for monthly renters arriving from out of state or internationally.

Summerlin

Summerlin sits on the west side of Las Vegas and draws professionals, families, and relocators looking for a quieter daily pace outside the Strip corridor. If you've just moved to the area or you're commuting to downtown or the resort corridor, picking up a car in Summerlin means you skip the airport entirely and start driving from your own neighborhood.

Henderson

Henderson, south and east of Las Vegas, is home to planned communities, a growing healthcare corridor, and a steady stream of relocators drawn by newer construction and family-friendly neighborhoods. Monthly renters here tend to be traveling nurses, professionals on extended assignments, or families settling in — and a local pickup makes the transition that much simpler.

Turo vs. traditional ownership

Turo

  • Loans and interest payments

  • Long-term commitment

  • Out-of-pocket maintenance costs

  • Instant depreciation

Top tips for monthly car rental in Las Vegas

Before you book a monthly rental in Las Vegas, a few local details will help you get the most out of your time and your budget.

Finding the best deal

Use the duration filter on Turo to search for 30+ day trips — that's where you'll find the deepest discounts. Browse by price range to compare what's available across Las Vegas, and book in advance when you can. Longer bookings consistently unlock better rates, and 7-day and 14-day trips offer savings too.

How to pick a car

For daily commuting in Las Vegas, prioritize fuel efficiency and comfort over flash. Reliable sedans, compact SUVs, and hatchbacks tend to deliver the best value for monthly renters. Think Toyota Camry, Honda Civic, Hyundai Tucson, or Kia Sportage — practical cars built for everyday driving, not weekend showpieces.

Road rules and conditions in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Boulevard gets congested near the Strip, especially during evenings and weekends. Downtown has one-way streets that can catch new residents off guard. Speed limit enforcement is active on major roads. If you're new to the city, give yourself extra time during peak hours and learn the freeway on-ramp patterns early.

Parking in Las Vegas

Most casino garages now charge for parking, which is a shift from the free-parking era. Monthly garage rates are available across the metro, and residential areas outside the Strip generally offer free street parking. If you're renting month to month, look into monthly parking passes at garages near your workplace or apartment.

Toll roads in Las Vegas

Nevada has no toll roads. Every highway and interstate in the state is free to drive, so you won't need a transponder or toll account. One less thing to budget for as a monthly renter.

Gas and EV charging in Las Vegas

Gas stations are spread throughout the Las Vegas metro, including near the airport and along all major routes. If you're driving an EV, Tesla Superchargers and universal fast-charging stations are available at shopping centers and hotels across the valley — so keeping your battery topped off is straightforward.

Types of cars available in Las Vegas

You'll find a wide range of practical, everyday vehicles on Turo in Las Vegas. Fuel-efficient compacts like the Honda Civic, reliable sedans like the Toyota Camry, and family-friendly SUVs like the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage are all common picks for monthly renters. Browse by price range to find what fits your budget and commute.

Picking a monthly car rental in Las Vegas that fits your budget

Whether you want to rent a car for a month in Las Vegas or stay for several months, rentals on Turo get cheaper the longer you book. Trips of 30 days or more unlock the deepest discounts, and many listings also offer reduced rates for seven-day and 14-day bookings. About 60% of available monthly supply in Las Vegas is priced under $800 per month, with a median around $1,300 per month. You'll see the total price before you book — no hidden fees, no surprise charges at the end.

Can I extend my monthly rental in Las Vegas if I need the car for longer?

Yes. You can request a trip extension directly through the Turo app. If the car is available, the extension can be approved and you'll continue at the same discounted monthly rate — no need to rebook or start a new reservation.

Can I swap my car during a monthly rental in Las Vegas?

You'll need a valid driver's license (US or international) and a Turo account with a verified profile. That's it — no stacks of paperwork, no rental agreements to initial in triplicate. Everything is handled digitally through the Turo app before your Las Vegas rental begins.

What kind of license do I need to rent a car on Turo in Las Vegas?

Turo accepts valid driver's licenses that allow full driving privileges in Las Vegas, including licenses issued outside the US. Expired, suspended, conditional, provisional, or restricted licenses are not accepted. Learner's permits don't qualify.

Can I get discounts on monthly car rental on Turo in Las Vegas?

Yes. Turo listings in Las Vegas frequently offer discounted rates for longer bookings — 3-day, 7-day, 14-day, and 30+ day trip discounts are common. The longer you book, the more you save. You can also earn loyalty bonuses by booking frequently through the Turo app while in Las Vegas.

Can other people drive the car I rented in Las Vegas?

Only approved drivers can operate a car booked through Turo in Las Vegas. You can add an additional driver to your trip through the app. All drivers must meet Turo's booking requirements and have a valid license. The primary guest remains responsible for the trip.

Is monthly car rental on Turo cheaper than leasing a car?

For many people — especially those who need a car for one to three months — a monthly rental on Turo can be significantly cheaper than a traditional lease. Leases typically require a down payment, monthly payments locked over two to three years, and you're still on the hook for maintenance costs on top of that. With the average cost of new-car ownership in the US running nearly $12,000 per year, Turo's transparent, all-in monthly pricing gives you a clear picture of what you'll spend — without the long-term financial strings attached.
