Ford rental in Irvine, CA

We rented this Ford Transit van for a family trip and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. ​The van was incredibly spacious, providing more than enough room for everyone to ride comfortably without feeling cramped, even with a lot of luggage. It handled well, was smooth on the road, and felt very safe and secure throughout the entire trip. It was picked up clean, well-maintained, and ready to go. ​ Highly recommended!

This van worked great! It ran well and had no majors issues. There was a lot of space. It was able to fit 6 people plus a good amount of luggage, and there was still some space leftover. The only issue was that many times when you rev on the gas, the air conditioning would start to blow out hot air. When you stopped pressing down on the gas or eased up on the gas, the AC would go back to blowing cool air. This may just be a quirk with all 2013 Ford Econolines. Overall, it wasn’t a major issue. One other thing, which is noted in the car profile, is that this van doesn’t have a back up camera. I realized that having a back up camera would be very helpful for anytime I was backing up, so that’s something to consider if you’re uncomfortable driving large vans or if you will be driving alone and don’t have someone to help guide you when backing up.

The car was AMAZING!! 10/10, would recommend. The host was very responsive and more than willing to help with our time and location changes for pickup and drop-off. The car was clean, had that new-car smell, and only 11,774 miles on it when we rented it. The exhaust sounds FANTASTIC and the car has different modes (Normal, Sport, Track, etc.) you can cycle through to really have fun with it, the Sport and Track mode also change the sound of the exhaust, that + the color turns heads when driving through LA. The car is comfortable for long drives and has all the newest features you'd expect a 2025 car to have: Auto Start-Stop, Lane Assist, Brake Hold, Android Auto / Apple CarPlay, etc. Although, I'd recommend turning off Lane Assist when you're not worried about falling asleep, I found that that the car bites turns weird when Lane Assist is on, I kept it off for our whole trip. The sound system is INCREDIBLE, I messed with the equalizer a bit to tailor it to the type of music we listen to, crisp highs, solid mids, and enough low-end to actually feel the music. All in all, it was a GREAT experience renting this car, thank you UNIVERSAL MOTORS for everything 🙏🙂 I would definitely recommend renting this car, you won't be disappointed.

Truck was good and a lot of seats license plate did fall off on the trip but no big deal would book again for a big trip.
