TL;DR: Fantastic first-time Tesla experience! The car was in perfect condition, fun to drive, and surprisingly easy to handle on a long trip thanks to Autopilot. Charging was quick, convenient, and cheaper than gas. There are a lot of Teslas on Turo, but I highly recommend choosing this one because Akil is a fantastic host! Full review: The car was in mint condition, and its color really stood out when you see it in person. One of the features I was most excited to try was Tesla’s Autopilot, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. While I still needed to keep my eyes on the road and hands on the wheel, the car took care of lane keeping and speed control, making a long drive feel much more relaxing and enjoyable. If you’re planning a trip or carrying gear, the trunk is surprisingly spacious. It should have plenty of room for most adventures. The car is practically brand new, and Tesla has clearly made improvements since the last time I was in one. The seats were very comfortable, the materials had a premium feel, and the visibility from the driver’s seat was excellent. I was especially impressed by how much of the road I could see. The rear view was slightly narrower than I’m used to, but it didn’t affect my driving at all. The overall driving experience was just incredible. If you’ve never driven electric, you have to try it. The instant torque from the electric motors makes merging onto highways, overtaking, and climbing hills feel effortless. I barely touched the brakes because the regenerative braking works so well. You can slow down smoothly just by easing off the accelerator. Since I had no prior experience with Teslas, I reached out to Akil with a few questions, such as what features would be available, what I’d need to drive the car, and if there was anything I should know in advance. He got back to me in under 10 minutes with clear, detailed answers that made me feel confident and prepared. Even during a holiday, he was responsive and ready to help if anything came up. On pickup day, I received an invitation to connect to the Tesla app, and the car was already waiting for me. I had a bit of range anxiety at first, since I was planning to drive over 200 miles, but it turned out to be a non-issue. Superchargers were easy to find, and charging usually took just 10-15 minutes. It’s also worth noting that charging cost me less than fueling up my SUV would have for the same distance. All in all, this was a smooth, fun, and memorable experience. I highly recommend this car and would definitely book another ride some time later this year 🙂
