We had an amazing experience renting this vehicle. The car was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and drove perfectly throughout our trip. Everything was exactly as described, making the rental process smooth and stress-free. What truly stood out was Andy's kindness and understanding. During our trip, both my daughter and I became sick and experienced a medical emergency that threw our plans completely off track. We needed extra time, and although our situation was complicated, Andy was incredibly considerate, patient, and accommodating. His compassion during a difficult time meant more to us than he probably realizes. Highly Recommend.

Jeep Grand Cherokee L 2025

We rented this car for over two months while we were in Litchfield County. It worked out great. I’ve rented large Ford SUVs and large Chevy SUVs in the past. This Jeep is my favorite. Handles less like a large SUV and more like a sporty sedan. Luxurious interior with three rows of seats. If we need a Turo in the area again, this would be an easy choice.

Great car! Great service except for minor detail of not sharing the lockbox code in the message from the very beginning. Other than that it was a great rental for me while my car was being serviced!

Frequently asked questions in West Hartford

Why choose an SUV for your West Hartford adventure?

SUVs provide elevated seating positions that enhance visibility while navigating West Hartford's tree-lined neighborhoods and Connecticut's scenic routes. The spacious cargo area accommodates luggage for extended stays, shopping bags from local Hartford boutiques, and outdoor gear for New England adventures. Higher ground clearance helps navigate Connecticut's varied terrain and seasonal weather conditions with confidence.

How do you handle an SUV on Connecticut roads?

Connecticut roads feature a mix of narrow colonial-era streets in West Hartford's historic districts and modern highways connecting to Hartford and New Britain. SUVs require extra attention when parking in tight downtown spaces and navigating older residential areas with limited street width. Practice smooth acceleration and braking to maximize fuel efficiency during Connecticut road trips.

What makes SUVs ideal for New England weather?

All-wheel drive capability in many SUV models provides enhanced traction during Connecticut's snowy winters and rainy spring seasons. Higher ground clearance helps navigate through puddles and light snow accumulation common throughout the Hartford region. The enclosed cabin design offers better protection from New England's unpredictable weather compared to convertibles or sport cars.

Which destinations suit SUV road trips from West Hartford?

SUVs excel for trips to Connecticut's state parks where parking areas may have gravel surfaces and uneven terrain. The cargo space accommodates beach gear for coastal destinations and hiking equipment for mountain excursions throughout New England. Family-friendly destinations like museums in Hartford benefit from the easy entry and exit that SUVs provide for passengers of all ages.

Are compact or full-size SUVs better for families?

Full-size SUVs offer three rows of seating ideal for larger families exploring West Hartford attractions and Connecticut destinations. Compact SUVs provide better fuel economy for daily drives around Hartford while still offering more space than standard cars. Consider your group size and luggage requirements when choosing between compact efficiency and full-size comfort for your Connecticut adventure.

What SUV safety features should you prioritize?

Electronic stability control helps maintain vehicle control on Connecticut's winding country roads and during sudden weather changes. Backup cameras assist with parking in crowded areas like West Hartford shopping districts and Hartford downtown locations. Multiple airbags and reinforced frames provide enhanced protection for families traveling Connecticut highways and local roads around New Britain and Windsor Locks.

Is there unlimited mileage car rental on Turo?

On the vehicle pages, you'll see the total miles or kilometers you're allowed to drive under the heading "Distance included."
