Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2021

The car was very spacious and comfortable. There were a few dings which we really didn't care about at all..sure beats paying a premium at a car rental place like Hertz. Cort was communicative and we felt that the process was very easy, even for 2 old people. I would most certainly rent from Cort again. Two thumbs up!!

Chevrolet Suburban 2019

It could not have been an easier pick up or drop off. The car was very clean. I will say there were so many dings in the car and a little hole in the carpet and knob that had been broken off. (Type of small stuff) But the price matched that. It wasn’t junkie by any means, but just noticeable wear and tear.

Our host was very nice and responsive. The vehicle was a little older, but I thought it was a fair price for the situation.

Honda Pilot 2023

I had a great experience renting the Honda Pilot! The vehicle worked great throughout the entire trip, was comfortable and spacious, and I didn’t have any issues with it. I especially appreciated how accommodating and willing to work with me the host was. He was able to deliver the Pilot directly to my house and also come back to pick it up when my trip was over, which made everything so much easier for me. I know he had to travel a good distance to provide that service, and I genuinely appreciated the extra time and effort he put in to make the rental convenient for me. The communication and overall experience were great, and I would absolutely recommend renting from him. I would be more than happy to rent from him again in the future. Thank you again for going above and beyond and making the whole experience so easy!

Had a great experience renting Maxwell’s 2026 Model Y. Communication was easy and responsive throughout the trip, and Maxwell was very thoughtful in making sure the car had everything we might need, including the Mobile Connector and other useful accessories. The car itself was in excellent condition—very clean, new, and well maintained. Having FSD was also a huge plus and made the trip even more enjoyable. Overall, everything went smoothly from pickup to return, and we had a really great experience with both the car and the host. Would definitely rent from Maxwell again!

We have a 4Runner at home and wanted to rent one when we were visiting Utah. The car was older model with high miles…but if you know 4Runners…they last forever. The car had some FUN scars here and there. I’m sure it the car could talk, it would tell us lots of adventure stories. The car ran perfect and didn’t have any issues. An SUV rental proves invaluable for transporting kayaks, fishing gear, or picnic supplies to this freshwater oasis. The park offers excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, and bird watching. The spacious cargo area of an SUV allows you to bring all necessary equipment comfortably. When visiting, be aware of potential algal blooms in summer and check park conditions beforehand. The park's parking areas can accommodate larger vehicles, making your SUV a perfect choice.

Winter thrills at Sundance Mountain Resort

Pack your ski gear easily in the spacious cargo area and enjoy heated seats for a cozy drive. Remember to check road conditions before heading out, and consider winter tires for optimal performance in snowy conditions.

Smart tips for renting an SUV in Provo

When renting an SUV in Provo, consider your specific needs. For mountain adventures, opt for a model with all-wheel drive. If you're traveling with family, look for one with ample seating and storage. Book early during peak seasons, especially summer and winter, to ensure availability. Which SUV features are most beneficial when exploring Provo's surrounding mountainous areas?

When venturing into Provo's mountainous regions, several SUV features prove invaluable. All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive capabilities are essential for tackling steep, winding roads and unpaved surfaces. High ground clearance allows for easier navigation over rough terrain and protects the vehicle's undercarriage. A robust suspension system ensures a smoother ride on bumpy mountain roads. Ample cargo space is crucial for storing gear, especially for outdoor activities. Hill descent control can be beneficial when navigating steep downhill sections. Additionally, a panoramic sunroof or large windows enhance the scenic mountain views. Finally, a reliable navigation system helps you stay on course in remote areas where cell service may be limited.

Maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles, as stopping distances increase on slippery surfaces. Use your SUV's headlights to improve visibility during snowfall or in low-light conditions. Be cautious on bridges and overpasses, which tend to freeze first. When ascending or descending steep hills, use lower gears to maintain control. Always carry an emergency kit with essentials like a blanket, flashlight, and snacks. Lastly, check weather forecasts and road conditions before embarking on your Provo winter journey.

What are the best practices for maneuvering a large SUV in Provo's urban areas and parking lots?

Navigating a large SUV in Provo's urban areas requires careful attention. Utilize your vehicle's backup camera and parking sensors when available to assist with tight spaces. Practice proper turning techniques, such as wide turns, to avoid curbs and obstacles. In parking lots, look for pull-through spots or larger spaces at the back, which are often easier to maneuver into. When parallel parking, use your mirrors effectively and take advantage of your SUV's height for better visibility. Be mindful of your vehicle's length when judging distances, especially in congested areas. If you're unsure about clearance, it's better to err on the side of caution. Lastly, always be aware of pedestrians and smaller vehicles that may be in your blind spots when driving a larger SUV in Provo's urban environment.

Which family-friendly SUV models are most suitable for trips around Provo and Utah Valley?

Family-friendly SUVs ideal for Provo and Utah Valley trips often feature spacious interiors and versatile seating arrangements. Look for models with three rows of seats to accommodate larger families or extra cargo. SUVs with easy-to-clean upholstery and ample storage compartments are practical for family outings. Consider vehicles equipped with advanced safety features such as lane departure warnings and automatic emergency braking. Entertainment systems with multiple USB ports and Wi-Fi capability can keep passengers entertained on longer journeys. For Utah's varied terrain, opt for SUVs with good ground clearance and all-wheel drive capabilities. Fuel efficiency is also important for budget-conscious families exploring the region. Ultimately, choose an SUV that balances comfort, safety, and practicality for your Provo adventures.

How can guests adjust their SUV driving techniques for Utah's high-altitude mountain passes near Provo?

When tackling Utah's high-altitude mountain passes near Provo in an SUV, adjust your driving techniques accordingly. Be aware that your engine may lose some power at higher elevations, so plan for slower acceleration. Use lower gears when ascending steep grades to maintain steady power and prevent engine strain. On descents, employ engine braking by downshifting to reduce wear on your brakes and maintain control. Stay alert for sudden weather changes, which are common at high altitudes. Increase your following distance as reaction times may be slower due to thinner air. Hydrate frequently to combat the effects of altitude, even while driving. Lastly, be prepared for potential rapid pressure changes in your SUV's tires, and check them regularly during your high-altitude Provo SUV rental journey.
