You'll discover hidden gems beyond the subway map, from Long Island's coastal retreats to upstate's scenic Hudson Valley. A car rental unlocks freedom to explore at your own pace, whether you're catching Broadway shows in Times Square or venturing to charming towns in New Jersey. You can easily escape the city bustle for weekend getaways or simply navigate between boroughs without crowded public transport. Your rental car becomes the key to experiencing both the Big Apple's urban excitement and the region's diverse landscapes.

Overall, excellent. Integra Type-S is a very fun, engaging, manual transmission experience. Car is perfect for long road trips and for hauling a lot of stuff. Small delay with pickup/drop-off otherwise no issues. Would rent again!
Ivan and car rental team were detailed and friendly to work with. A clean and smooth ride for the errands I needed to run for a few days.

Dom is a star. Not sure how much I can share but he will make sure you have the best experience possible. Tailored services. Excellent all around. Car was dropped-off at my address on time. The new corvette drives like a dream, excellent condition, pristine with the all new 2026 interior. Absolute head turner. Highly recommend!

Car was surprisingly cheaper than a newer civic/accord (great price) Car drove decent, squeaky breaks when pulling up to red lights but no big deal. Picking up from location was a piece of cake and dropping off was even easier.

Super accommodating, clean car exactly as pictured, great price. Thanks Diana!

The car was amazing, drove beautifully, very clean, price was perfect. Both host I met were very lovely and informative! Definitely looking forward to booking more trips with them!

Beautiful car and very accommodating host took my reservation at the last minute and was extremely professional.

Very easy and professional service! Car drove great and was very suitable for city driving. Having pick up by transit options is incredible for people needing to commute to the rental. Car was recently detailed and clean inside- the courtesy paper slips were still on the floor. Overall a great value and I would rent from this host again!
Sasha was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our trip. I accidentally put our rental time for AM instead of PM and did not show up for the reserved pick-up time. She moved the car in a parking garage so I could still pick up the car, even though it was a very inconvenient situation for her. The car was clean and ran great.
My experience was 5/5. The car was beautiful and very fun to drive. Cheaper than a rental for a way nicer car. It handled 1400 miles through 4 states with no problem and Amanda was a great host. She was prompt, communicative, accommodating, and her car was literally spotless upon pickup. I’d definitely rent her car again. 😎 🚘
Beautiful car!!! Great trip!! Great host!!! Will definitely rent again!!! Thank you!!!

Highly recommend! Abbeygale was a communicative, kind host and the car was in great shape. We had a smooth trip and we can’t wait to rent again! 🫶🏻

Phil and the car were great. Communicative and the perfect rental for our needs, hope to rent again!

By car, major highways like I-95, I-80, and the New York State Thruway provide direct access to the city from neighboring states and regions.
Book early on Turo to secure the best vehicle options for navigating New York's diverse terrain and traffic conditions. Consider features like backup cameras and blind spot warnings for city driving, or choose all-wheel drive if you plan to explore upstate areas during winter months. Look for vehicles with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to help with navigation through Manhattan's complex street grid, and consider pet-friendly options if you're traveling with furry companions to the city's many dog parks.
A car rental in New York provides freedom to explore beyond Manhattan's subway reach, including scenic areas of New York State and neighboring New Jersey. Having your own vehicle allows convenient access to destinations like Long Island beaches, Central Park area parking, and White Plains shopping districts. Car rental offers flexibility for day trips from NYC to Buffalo or other upstate locations without relying on public transportation schedules.
Gas stations are abundant throughout New York City, particularly in Queens, Brooklyn, and near major highways connecting to New Jersey. Morning rush hours in New York typically run from 7-9 AM, while evening congestion peaks between 5-7 PM throughout Manhattan and major bridges to New Jersey. GPS navigation apps provide real-time traffic updates for New York State highways and city streets to help plan your route.
Compact cars excel in New York City's tight parking spaces and narrow Manhattan streets, making urban navigation more manageable. SUVs provide comfort for longer trips to upstate New York or New Jersey while offering better visibility in heavy traffic. Consider your specific needs: city exploration favors smaller vehicles, while family trips to Long Island or Buffalo benefit from larger car options.
The Hudson River Valley offers beautiful drives north from New York City through charming towns and historic sites in New York State. Long Island's North Shore provides coastal scenery and mansion tours accessible from Queens and Brooklyn.
