Booking a car rental in Germantown puts Montgomery County within easy reach, from the scenic trails of Black Hill Regional Park to the shops along the Milestone Center. This vibrant Washington DC suburb pairs urban amenities with genuine natural beauty, and a rental car lets you move between them on your own schedule.

car was exactly as advertised. drama/pain/hassle-free pickup and dropoff process. 10/10 would rent again.

Great service and the car was surprisingly good on gas. Will rent again for sure
The car was good for a trip to the beach for 3 days. On the first day I found a cut on one of the back wheels it wasn't loosing air but I brought it up to the owner they actually bought two new tires and installed them in the same day before I had to leave at 6pm. The car has good AC and it's comfortable for a long trip, it's also good on fuel when it's on ECO mode. The interior is a little worn out buts it was ok for me, I own two car from 2005 so this was better than mine, also it smelled good inside.
The host was really awesome and extremely kind and understanding I would definitely rent again

Everything was excellent. Owner was very punctual with pick up. Car was well kept, vert clean and felt brand new. Definitely worth renting.
Very good… The car is very good—super fuel-efficient and compact; I recommend it for two people.
The car is great. The host is very accommodating and friendly. Easy to pickup and drop off. Highly recommend!!

Older car. Great for back and forth to work and errands while mine was in the shop. Host was responsive, friendly, and flexible. Would use again!

The car was in great condition. Instructions were clear and made pick up and return easy. Host was kind, responsive, communicative, and available for any questions/concerns during the rental. I’d recommend renting and would rent again!

Very nice, hard to find 4-seat convertible that can hold a baby seat for my 3 year old. Rented it for a day of open sky driving and he absolutely loved it! Chuck was very easy to work with, friendly and would definitely recommend. I’ll be coming back in the future for another ride!

Saroj is an amazing host! Another guest was late returning to the car I was supposed to rent. Saroj worked with me and Turo to transfer my reservation to a different car so I wasn't left stranded. Would absolutely rent from again!

Great experience. The host was responsive, the car was clean and well-maintained, and everything went smoothly. Would definitely rent again.

A little local know-how makes driving around Germantown easy. Here's what to keep in mind before you set off.
Germantown's main arteries, like MD-355 and Great Seneca Highway, move quickly, while I-270 carries most of the through traffic. Rush hour typically runs 7–9 am and 4–6 pm, so plan around it and always buckle up.
Parking is straightforward around Germantown Town Center and the Milestone Center, with a mix of lots and street spaces. Attractions like Black Hill Regional Park and the BlackRock Center for the Arts offer on-site parking, so check signage for any time limits.
A few routes in the wider region, such as the Intercounty Connector (MD 200), use tolls. Most accept electronic payment, so it's worth confirming how tolls are handled before a longer drive.
Gas stations are easy to find along Germantown Road and near the I-270 interchanges. If you book an electric car, you'll find public charging around the Town Center and major shopping areas.
Public transit is limited outside the MARC line and local buses, so a car is the most practical way to reach the parks, shops, and nearby towns. Having your own vehicle makes exploring Montgomery County far simpler.
Pick the vehicle that matches your plans. Compact sedans are easy to park for errands around town, SUVs give families room for gear and trips to the parks, and electric cars keep fuel costs low for local driving in and around Germantown.
The cost of a car rental in Germantown depends on the vehicle, trip length, and how far in advance you book. Booking early and choosing weekly or monthly durations can lower your daily rate, and all pricing is shown clearly in the Turo app before you confirm.
To book a car in Germantown on Turo, you'll need a valid driver's license, a supported payment method, and a Turo account in good standing. Upload your details before your trip so you're approved to drive and ready to pick up your car without delays.
Yes. Guests with a valid out-of-state US license or an eligible foreign driver's license can book a car in Germantown. If your license isn't in English, bring an international driving permit alongside it. Check the listing and your account for any market-specific requirements before you book.
The minimum age to drive on Turo in the US, including Germantown, is 18. Guests aged 18–24 can book vehicles in eligible categories, though some cars carry their own age requirements set in the listing. Review the details on each car before you reserve.
When you book a car in Germantown, you can choose from a range of protection plans at checkout, each with different levels of coverage and pricing. Compare the options during booking and pick the one that fits your trip.
Yes. Many cars in Germantown offer discounts for weekly and monthly bookings, so longer trips often cost less per day. Watch for these savings on individual listings when you compare cars.
Absolutely. If you need a car for several weeks or longer, plenty of hosts in Germantown offer extended bookings, often with weekly and monthly discounts that make longer stays more affordable.
Mileage allowances are set by each host, so some cars in Germantown include unlimited miles while others include a daily limit with a small fee for extra miles. The mileage policy is listed on each car's page, so check it before you book a longer drive.
Yes. You can add an approved additional driver at no extra cost, and both drivers must have a Turo account. Manage additional drivers directly in the Turo app rather than through the host so everyone is covered before the trip starts.
Yes. If you need a vehicle for a month or more, monthly rentals in Germantown give you the flexibility of your own car with discounted longer-term pricing. Browse available cars and monthly rates to find the right fit.

Turo is a car rental marketplace, not a traditional rental company. Instead of lining up at a counter, you book directly in the app and choose from a wide selection of vehicles at a range of price points. With flexible pickup and delivery, transparent pricing, and options for weekly and monthly stays, it's a more convenient, more personal way to rent a car in Germantown.
