Car was amazingly clean. It had a very strong tobacco smell: I did let the host know this before I started my trip! Over all I am super happy with this car rental! Everything was super fast and good. Will. Definitely rent from them again!
Everything was neat and clean, and the car ran beautifully. Anytime I had any kind of questions, I got an immediate and polite response. I really appreciate the fact that he check in on me and made sure everything was okay with the car and before renting the car again to someone else, I was asked if I needed more time, very flexible with the pickup and drop off schedule. I've had the car for weeks once mine broke down. I would definitely do business in the future......... also the price was excellent!!!!! 5 stars

Everything went perfect. Car drove nicely. And commuted as needed. Thanks for the great service

Carlos is the best host I’ve ever done. He allow me to extend my trip for over a week and was always there when I needed an answer. His communication is top of the line and he even comes out to you if you have an issue… he did an oil change for me in the middle of my trip as soon as I needed it and I appreciate it. If you want the experience of hospitality and genuine energy, RENT with Carlos.
Absolutely loved renting this Chevrolet sonic from Carlos, so smooth from pickup to drop off and Carlos was so good at communicating every step of the way. The car was super clean, no check engine light and this car was everything we could have asked for and more, we will definitely be back.

A few local pointers make getting around Gainesville and Northern Virginia easy. Here's what to know before you go.
I-66 and US-29 are your main routes through town and toward Washington, DC. Watch for HOV restrictions on I-66 during weekday rush hours, and keep an eye on posted speed limits, which drop quickly as you move from highways to neighborhood streets.
Parking around Gainesville is generally easy, with free lots at shopping centers like Virginia Gateway and ample parking at parks and wineries. In busier downtown areas, check posted signs for time limits before you leave the car.
Most trips around Gainesville are toll-free, though some Northern Virginia highways closer to DC do use tolls. If your route heads that way, plan ahead so there are no surprises.
You'll find plenty of gas stations along I-66 and US-29, and public EV charging is easy to find at shopping centers and along major routes. If you book an electric car, map out charging stops for longer day trips.
Yes — Gainesville is spread out and public transit is limited, so a car is the easiest way to reach the battlefields, wineries, forests, and nearby towns on your own schedule.
Prices for a car rental in Gainesville vary by vehicle type, trip length, and how far ahead you book. Compact and midsize cars tend to be the most budget-friendly, while SUVs and premium cars cost more. Booking early and choosing weekly or monthly durations can help you lock in better value.
The closest major airport is
Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), about a 30-minute drive from Gainesville. Instead of lining up at a traditional counter, you can book a car ahead of time and arrange pickup or delivery near the terminal, so you're on the road soon after you land.
Turo is a car rental marketplace, not a rental agency. Rather than choosing from a fixed fleet at an airport counter, you book the exact car you want from a local host, often with pickup or delivery that fits your schedule. You get more selection, transparent reviews, and pricing you can compare up front — usually with less hassle than the traditional way to rent.
To book a car in Gainesville, you'll need a valid driver's license, a Turo account, and an accepted payment method. Once you're approved to drive, you can book and start your trip. Have your license handy when you meet your car so pickup goes quickly.
Yes. Guests with a valid driver's license from another US state can book a car in Gainesville, and many international visitors can too. If your license isn't in English, bring an International Driving Permit alongside it.
You generally need to be at least 18 to book a car in the US on Turo, though some cars and categories set a higher minimum age. Younger drivers may see a young driver fee, and any age requirements appear on the listing before you book.
When you book in Gainesville, you can choose from different protection plans at checkout, each with its own coverage and price. Review the options during booking and pick the one that fits your trip.
Yes. Many hosts offer lower daily rates on weekly and monthly bookings, so longer trips often cost less per day. Booking early and staying flexible with your dates can also help you find a better price.
Absolutely. If you need a car for a few weeks or several months, look for listings that offer weekly and monthly durations, which usually come with built-in discounts for longer stays.
It depends on the listing. Some cars in Gainesville include unlimited miles, while others set a daily distance limit with a small fee for extra miles. Check the mileage details on the listing before you book, especially if you're planning long day trips.
Yes. You can add an approved additional driver to your trip at no extra cost. Add drivers directly in the Turo app so everyone is covered before you hit the road.
Yes. Monthly bookings are a great fit for long stays, relocations, or extended work trips, and they often come with the lowest daily rates. Choose a car that offers a monthly duration to see the discounted price.
