We recently rented the 2021 Range Rover Velar for a family spring break trip to Oahu and it was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish the car and host exceeded my expectations. This was by far the best Turo experience we have had yet. Communication and Pickup: Brian was super responsive: the reservation was confirmed quickly and clear instructions were provided for pick up. Arranging for pick up at the airport was a definite plus and pick up and drop off instructions were easy to follow. When I had questions about connecting Bluetooth through Apple CarPlay Brian got back to me in no time. The Vehicle: Driving the Velar felt like pure luxury. On our previous two trips to Oahu we rented Evoques and the Velar is infinitely better. The white exterior really pops. The interior was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable on our ride around the island. The sound system sounded phenomenal. The ride was flawless- the air suspension made it feel like we were riding on a cloud. Then there was the engine which is a reason to rent it alone- it really cooks! A substantial upgrade over the Evoque’s drivetrain. The Velar’s powertrain is responsive at both lower and higher RPMs. It offers quick acceleration. I was astonished to have this much power on tap. And it had superior handling and brakes too. The steering was really balanced and precise. More surprising was that with this much horsepower the gas mileage seemed to be really decent. We were able to take a trip around the whole island and several trips from Waikiki to the east side and all over Honolulu and we still had a quarter tank left by the end of our trip.. If you are looking for a stylish, comfortable, ride with top notch features and a friendly, professional host, look no further. Brian’s Range Rover made our trip memorable, and I’d book it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!!!
