Carma definitely restored my faith in Tullamarine car rental companies. Hannah was super friendly. Pick and drop off was a breeze. Car got 700kms on one tank. No complaints at all. Thanks team!
David was communicative, pickup and drop off was easy with clear instructions, car drove well, overall very satisfied with our experience. Great cost friendly alternative to bigger car rental companies with a lot more flexibility, but come with the right expectations (i.e. don't expect a squeaky clean car)

The car was spotless, well maintained, and drove beautifully. Pick up was quick and easy. The car owner was friendly and also offered, and dropped us off to the airport as we had traveled from Melbourne. The car was exactly what I needed comfortable, fuel efficient, and reliable. Would absolutely rent from here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a hassle-free car rental experience.
Pick up was easy, car was very tidy, car was well maintained. Best car rental so far 🫡
I enjoyed using this car for my solo trip to Brisbane and back. Easy to use. Has built in navigation and Bluetooth to connect my phone (for music). Host was easy to deal with. Responded promptly. Price also good.

Tom's Crew services was very quick and smooth, everything super easy with all the instructions and the lead, by the way for the price was so worth it, the Car is in excellent condition, this is an amazing experience for my first time rent a car in Sydney. Looking forward to have a vacation trip again with your service guys! Thanks!
Nice affordable car. A little worn in the seats but price reflects age and use. Otherwise immaculate and a nice drive. Efficient on fuel.

Smooth rental process, clean car, and friendly staff. Pickup service from the airport was very helpful, and the vehicle performed perfectly throughout the trip. Would definitely rent again.
Fabian was amazing host. He was always responsive for anything needed. Would definitely rent car from him again if I am in Brisbane. Also, his price was more economical with cars taken good care. This was my second car rental from him.
Had an absolute blast with this Mustang 🔥 Easily one of the highlights of my trip. The car itself was unreal — clean, powerful, and just a dream to drive around for a few days. You can tell it’s been really well looked after. But what really made the whole experience was the owner. Super easy to deal with, great communication the whole way through, and just an all-round top guy. Made everything smooth from pickup to drop-off. Would 100% rent again without even thinking twice. If you’re on the fence — just book it, you won’t regret it. Thanks Corey!

Great experience. Car was great, pick up was easy and a good price too. Thanks :)

Excellent experience from start to finish. The vehicle was clean, well maintained, and drove perfectly throughout the trip. Would definitely hire from them again and highly recommend to anyone needing a reliable rental car.

Perth has a laid-back, sunny feel with plenty of outdoor spaces, riverside pathways, and coastal views to enjoy. The city effortlessly mixes nature and culture — highlights include Kings Park, vibrant weekend markets, and the gorgeous beaches along the Sunset Coast from Fremantle to Two Rocks.
Rent the perfect car
Rottnest Island is a short ferry ride from Perth, known for its clear blue water, quiet bays, and friendly quokkas — perhaps the happiest animals on earth! You can bike around the island, snorkel at spots like The Basin, or simply relax on the beach during your visit. It's also a protected nature reserve, so the pace here is slow, and the views are some of the best in Western Australia.
Elizabeth Quay is a lively waterfront precinct filled with restaurants, art, and green spaces, right on the banks of the Swan River. Here you can walk along the pedestrian bridge, enjoy a coffee with a river view, or explore the pop-up markets and events. Though Perth's CBD is pretty relaxed, it's a quiet escape in the middle of the city — perfect for spending a few hours before you jet off to other activities.
Scitech is a hands-on science and technology centre designed for curious minds of all ages. It features interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and even a planetarium. It's a fun way to spend the day, especially for families or anyone who loves learning through play. Park your rental car in the nearby City West Centre carpark, or leave it at home and take the train to City West station instead.
Driving in Perth is generally easy to navigate, but it’s worth familiarising yourself with local speed limits, road rules, parking options, and fuel locations before you arrive.
When you book through Turo, you’ll collect your Perth Airport car hire from a convenient off-airport location, such as a nearby hotel or secure car park. After booking, check the Turo app for exact pickup instructions, including key access details and any parking entry or exit procedures. If parking is involved, relevant ticket or access information will be provided with the vehicle so you can begin your trip without confusion.
Once your Perth journey has come to a close, head to the same return location near Perth Airport to drop off your rental car. Hand over the keys or leave them in the designated drop box, and board your flight with plenty of time to spare. If you require a different return location, alternative arrangements can be coordinated in advance through the Turo app.
Perth Airport is about 12 kilometres east of the city centre. Depending on traffic and which terminal you arrive at, the drive should take between 15 and 25 minutes in your rental car.
Driving in Perth follows standard Western Australian road rules. Stay left, obey signed speed limits, observe other road signage, and always wear a seatbelt. Across Australia, it's illegal to use a hand-held phone while driving, even to check your GPS, and this carries large fines that can include loss of licence.
In built-up parts of Perth city, the default speed limit is 50 kilometres per hour (km/h) unless signs indicate otherwise. On major highways and regional roads, you'll encounter higher limits — most open roads range between 60 and 80km/h, motorways hover around 100 km/h, and rural limits can be even faster depending on the road.
Traffic in Perth is generally lighter than in the eastern capitals, but congestion can build during morning and evening peak times, especially on routes like the Mitchell Freeway and the Graham Farmer Freeway. If you're driving out of the city, be aware that Western Australia's regional roads can be long and remote. Make sure you plan fuel stops using apps or maps, and in summer, be mindful of fatigue and heat when covering larger distances.
Parking in downtown Perth is a mix of paid on-street spaces and multi-level car parks. Popular car parks include the Hay Street Mall Kings Complex (517 Hay Street), Central Park (152-158 St Georges Terrace), and The Garage at 347 Wellington Street. On-street parking pricing is managed through the City of Perth and offers both free short-term and longer-term paid options.
In suburban areas and near shopping centres, there are more relaxed parking options, but always check for signs — some council zones have restrictions or resident permits. If you're spending the day shopping at a popular mall like Karrinyup Shopping Centre or Westfield Joondalup, on-site parking is readily available and usually free for the first few hours.
No, Perth does not have any toll roads — which means you can drive around the metropolitan area and the rest of regional Western Australia in your rental car freely, without the need for tags or passes.
Petrol stations are readily available in Perth — you'll find known brands like BP, Shell, and Caltex on major roads such as the Albany Highway, Great Eastern Highway, and Canning Highway. Near the city centre, try the Ampol at 157 Lord Street in East Perth or the United at 31 Fitzgerald Street in Northbridge for a quick fuel-up.
Electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure isn't as built out as Perth’s eastern counterparts, but it's well on its way. The City of Perth has installed EV chargers in car parks, including J.H. Abrahams Reserve (1C Hackett Drive), the Queens Gardens Car Park (42-62 Nelson Crescent), Plain Street Car Park (2 Plain Street), and Victoria Gardens Car Park (10 Royal Street). You'll also notice independently owned chargers scattered throughout Perth from providers like Tesla, Chargefox, and Evie.
Perth's public transport covers a fair bit — with trains, buses, and ferries available to get you around the city — but drivers rule the roads here. If you want to experience outer Perth or Western Australia more broadly, especially the coast, national parks, and wine regions, a rental car is markedly more convenient. Use Turo to find the best car rental prices, then lock in the perfect hire car for your time here, whether you're just visiting or plan on calling Perth home forever.
Booking a car at Perth Airport through Turo gives you access to everything from compact runaround models to luxury SUVs, electric vehicles, high-end cars, and so much more. For comfort on long commutes or trips to the Margaret River, opt for a mid-size SUV like the Volkswagen T-Cross. Looking for the perfect car for scenic drives by the coast? The Mazda CX-3 handles like a dream, and the Porsche Taycan is sure to turn heads. If you need extra seats for the family (or space for luggage or gear), you'll also find reliable vehicles like minivans and people movers on the Turo marketplace.
