Sid was extremely helpful in liaising with an appropriate pickup and drop off location close to Gare Du Nord which was key for us considering we had small children…. The infants car seat didn’t have straps but other than that it was perfect for a weekend away. Would definitely contact Sid again should we need a car in Paris in the future.

How to get to Paris?

By plane: Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) is Paris' main international airport. It is well connected to the city center by the RER B and by buses and shuttles. Orly airport (ORY) is another major airport, in the south of Paris. It is connected to the city center by the T7 tramway, the Orlyval train (to Antony station where you can take the RER B), and various buses and shuttles.
By train: if you're coming from London, Brussels or Amsterdam, you'll probably arrive at Gare du Nord via Eurostar or Thalys. Paris has a number of other major stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare de l'Est, Gare Saint-Lazare, Gare Montparnasse, Gare d'Austerlitz) that serve trains from different parts of France and other European countries.
By bus: numerous bus companies operate long-distance services to Paris, usually arriving at the Paris Gallieni international bus station or the Bercy bus station.
By car: Paris is well connected by a network of roads and freeways. If you're driving, make sure you know France's traffic rules and are aware of any low-emission zones that may require a specific vignette to enter.

What to do in Paris?

Paris, the city of love, art and gastronomy. Let's start by observing Parisian art with the Eiffel Tower. Admire Paris from its summit, then sit down on the lawns of the Champ de Mars with a picnic for a breathtaking view. At nightfall, its glitter will cast a spell. Then plunge into an ocean of art at the Louvre! From the mysterious Mona Lisa to the majestic Venus de Milo, this museum takes you on a journey through the ages. Even after the fire, Notre-Dame de Paris remains a symbol of Parisian resilience and beauty. Climb up for a splendid view over the rooftops of Paris. Then wander through the narrow streets of Montmartre, breathe in the essence of the artists who left their mark here, and treat yourself to a panoramic view of Paris from the steps of Sacré-Coeur.
Visit the city's charming neighborhoods such as the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, or the Quartier Latin - stroll, taste and experience Paris like a true Parisian. Shop or simply stroll along the iconic Avenue des Champs-Élysées, then climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe for a breathtaking view. Stop off at a café, order an espresso and watch the world go by.
Discover Paris from a different perspective with a cruise on the Seine. As the lights of the city are reflected on the water, the historic monuments take on a magical dimension. Don't miss a visit to a boulangerie for a fresh croissant or a patisserie for a delicious lemon tart. And why not accompany it all with a glass of wine in a typical bistrot? To round off the evening, whether it's a lively evening at the Moulin Rouge or a play in a small cabaret, Paris is the capital of entertainment.

Frequently asked questions

When to rent a car?

With Turo, you can rent a car all year round at prices that don’t change as much as those charged by a car rental agency. However, it's always a good idea to plan ahead for busy rental periods such as vacations and bank holidays.

Why is there a deposit when I rent a car?

At Turo, only certain categories require a deposit. Vehicles in the "Deluxe Class" category require a deposit of €400, while "Super Deluxe Class" vehicles require a deposit of €600. These amounts are used to cover any additional costs, such as extra kilometers.

Where can I rent a car?

With Turo, you can rent a car from home and pick it up in France, the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. Unlike agencies, pick-up locations are not packed in major cities, train stations or airports, but are available everywhere. Whether you're in an urban or rural area, you'll find a vehicle close by.

How do I rent a luxury car?

Getting a luxury car on Turo is easy. Filter the available vehicles in your area to see only the luxury cars available nearby. Please note that you must have held a driver's license for more than 7 years to rent most vehicles in the "Deluxe Class" and "Super Deluxe Class" ranges.

How much does a car rental cost?

Turo offers a very wide range of vehicles in all categories and at all prices, from €20 per day to suit many budgets.

How can I get discounts on my rental?

Can I have my rental car delivered?

On Turo, vehicle delivery is possible. Many vehicles are available for delivery to train stations or airports, and you can also filter the vehicles offering delivery to a specific address. Delivery includes pick-up and return of the vehicle. Depending on the situation, additional charges may apply.

What's the difference between OuiCar and Turo?

Turo, the world's largest car-sharing platform, has acquired OuiCar, the French pioneer in car sharing. OuiCar has become Turo France. The service remains fundamentally the same: hosts (called "owners" on OuiCar) offer their cars to guests (called "renters" on OuiCar) across France via the platform, which covers all trips (previously called "rentals"). But Turo France now offers a wider range of vehicles, greater flexibility of coverage, and has adopted Turo's standards of excellence in quality and customer service.

How do I rent a car in Paris?

If you're looking for a rental car, turn to private individuals who offer their vehicles on Turo. Using the platform's filters, you'll be able to find a vehicle that meets your criterias and is as close as possible to your location, without having to visit a rental agency. Arrange for the keys to be handed over directly to your host, so you can get the vehicle when it suits you in Paris.

Where to rent a car in Paris?

Thanks to private car rental, you can rent a car on any street in the center of Paris, in the less-frequented streets, or anywhere in the Ile-de-France region. Actually, unlike agencies, Turo's pick-up points are not concentrated in the city center, train stations or airports, but all over the city and the countryside.
