A Sprinter is the perfect choice to rent when you need a light commercial van with plenty of interior space. You can rent a Sprinter in three different body styles (Cargo, Crew, and Passenger), each with different drivetrain, roof height, and payload configurations to meet your needs.
With its distinct, box-like shape, the Sprinter is at the top of its class for cargo and passenger vans. Its performance and ride quality are exceptional, just as you'd expect from a high-end brand like Mercedes-Benz. Whether you want to shuttle people, supplies, or both, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van rental will get the job done in luxury and style.
Sprinter van specs
Cargo space
111 cu ft (passenger); 531 cu ft (cargo)
Weight
4,597-5,192 lb
Acceleration
12 sec (0 to 60 mph)
Seating
12-15 pax
You'll get best-in-class cargo space with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. The Cargo model offers an extended wheel base, a higher roof, and minimal seating to give you plenty of freight room. You'll also have plenty of cargo space in the Passenger model behind the back seats. Whether you have lots of luggage or fragile items to haul around town, consider a Sprinter van rental on Turo.
The Sprinter's base engine produces 168 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. If that's not enough for your specific needs, Mercedes-Benz offers a high-output, 2.0-liter turbo-diesel that can crank out 208 horsepower with 332 pound-feet of torque. Both engines run smoothly, and the Sprinter's ride quality is second-to-none.
With its smooth ride and stylish interior comfort, a Sprinter rental delivers more than most other light cargo vans. The Passenger model offers comfortable seating for up to 12 passengers and large windows. It's the perfect passenger van for going on a fun and hassle-free road trip to a national park or any other attraction.
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter offers exceptional versatility. With a large sliding door standard on most models, this van is ideal for businesses and personal use alike. Its spacious interior, multiple configurations, and advanced technology suit cargo transport, passenger shuttles, or camper-van conversions. Reliable performance, safety features, and fuel efficiency make it a perfect choice for everything from long road trips with the family to short transport hauls.

Mercedes-Benz is highly regarded when it comes to designing safe vehicles, and the Sprinter van is no exception. The Sprinter has many active safety features like Lane-Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Assist, and Active Braking Assist. There are also numerous passive features, such as three-point seat belts and multiple airbags.
When you sit in the driver's seat of a Sprinter, expect a lot of customizable comfort options. While the specific features vary, many models offer heated front seats, automatic climate control, and remote starting with auxiliary heating or cooling. Plus, the large sliding door makes it easy for big groups to get in and out.
The Sprinter has what it takes to keep you connected and entertained as you drive. You can expect features such as Bluetooth connectivity, an AM/FM stereo, and a 7-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are also available in certain models.

Car pick up/drop off was amazing. So simple! Loved the vehicle SO MUCH. We hope to rent again.

Nice, clean van and drives great. In addition to the seating, plenty of space in the back.

Great van! Very easy pickup. The car works great and is clean. No one has smoked in it or anything. Great for group travel!

The service was very friendly and the car was in excellent condition. Thank you!

You guys are really serious and trustful company! Defenetly we will work together again!

Great vehicle! Amazing host! Roman has done it again. Super smooth transaction. Second time renting the Sprinter and it won't be the last.

The Sprinter van is large, so if you're used to smaller vehicles, it may take a while to get used to the size difference. Fortunately, Mercedes has equipped this van with a rear-view camera that makes parking much easier. Acceleration is brisk for a van of this size, and you'll never feel like you lack passing power, even with a full load of cargo or passengers. Overall, you'll enjoy a pleasant driving experience with the Sprinter van.
Keep the following tips in mind for your first time driving a Sprinter van rental:
- Check that all your mirrors are aimed correctly before you start driving.
- Aim the passenger side mirror at your back tire. This will help you avoid hitting curbs.
- Always use the mirrors when driving through tight areas.
- Be prepared to take turns a bit wider and slower than you would with a smaller vehicle.
- Remember that the Sprinter is tall, so be mindful of low clearances.
- Stay within the speed limit, and take it extra slow while getting familiar with the handling.
The cost of a Sprinter van rental can vary depending on the model variant, booking length, extras, and delivery. For a cheap Sprinter van rental, look out for potential discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.

In the UK, you must be 21 years old or older and have held a UK or EU license for at least one year, or another driver’s license for at least two years. When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through a quick approval process by entering your driver’s license and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for all future road trips, day trips, and business trips!
Turo accepts valid licenses (not expired, suspended, or revoked) that allow for full driving privileges; this includes driver’s licenses issued outside of the US. Licenses that Turo doesn’t accept in the US include any that have expired, have been altered, are conditional, probational, provisional, or restricted. Learner’s permit/instruction permits are not accepted.

No, you don’t need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo.
In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that’s right for you. On each trip, you’re covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.*
In New York state, you’ll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you’re covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.

Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you’ll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.
Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.
To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.
* Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. In the US, liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host’s vehicle.
For questions or information about the third party liability insurance for trips in the US, consumers in Maryland and the licensed states listed here may contact Turo Insurance Agency at (415) 508-0283 or claims@turo.agency. For questions about how damage to a host’s vehicle is handled, visit the Turo Support site. When a trip is booked in the state of Washington, physical damage to the host’s vehicle is covered by insurance purchased by Turo, but the Turo insurance does not change the contractual responsibilities of hosts or guests with respect to physical damage to a host’s vehicle.
