A Mercedes G-Wagon rental offers the ideal experience for those seeking an SUV with rugged looks, outstanding performance, and a luxurious interior from an iconic brand. Close the vault-like doors on a G-Wagon and prepare to be wowed by the quality radiating from every panel.
Characterized by its boxy design and body-on-frame construction, the G-Class, often called the G-Wagen or G-Wagon, uses three fully locking differentials, allowing superior traction at all four wheels. Renting a G-Wagon will give you a driving experience that's both exhilarating and refined. Advanced systems like the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), brake assist, and the four-wheel Electronic Traction System (4ETS) add safety and performance. Rent a G-Wagon on Turo to feel the difference for yourself.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has been at the forefront of rugged capability since its early days as a military vehicle. Modern editions of this SUV boast mild-hybrid power that adds an electric boost. When you rent a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, you get an iconic luxury vehicle that still offers military-inspired toughness.
Part of the fun of a G-Wagon rental is exploring its various power delivery avenues. A turbocharger, electric auxiliary compressor, and 48-volt mild-hybrid system assist the G550's powerful new V6 to deliver 443 horsepower. The top-of-the-line Mercedes-AMG G63 still rocks a V8 though — a twin-turbo unit that delivers 577 horses.
Within the timeless body is a freshly modernized cockpit with dual 12.3-inch displays and navigation with augmented reality. The intelligent, ever-advancing digital voice assistant of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) will already know 20 commands tailored to the G-Class. To say your Turo G-Wagon rental will be a memorable, personalized indulgence is something of an understatement.
G-Wagon styling begins with the sporty bumpers, wheels, brakes, and other premium visual cues. Inside the spacious cabin, sumptuous leather upholstery complements a range of colors, tailored in a variety of styles for the seats, dash, steering wheel, and other elements. Exquisitely crafted, still almost entirely by hand, this Mercedes-Benz SUV keeps advancing without abandoning its principles — from its rugged ladder frame to its signature round headlamps.

If ruggedness is your thing when it comes to a luxury rental, the G550 will not disappoint. Consider the vehicle’s 9.5-inch ground clearance, 27.5-inch fording depth, and ability to climb a 100% grade. Bottom line? The G matches every measure for a capable luxury car, and even exceeds some of them.
Modern technology meets classic, iconic Mercedes-Benz flamboyance in a G-Wagon rental. Drivers can fine-tune performance characteristics (and driving character) with a single control. Looking for a customized driving experience with your Mercedes rental? The G-Wagon’s on-road modes include efficiency-oriented Comfort, Sport, and Individual variants.
While the G-Class’s rear door-mounted spare tire has long been a signature element of its functional design, it's far from the only high-tech feature tailored toward a luxury experience. Active Brake Assist gives you the power of awareness, monitoring your surroundings — even blind spots — to alert you of potential obstacles. The system even adds to your manual braking to help prevent collisions. Attention Assist will even detect and notify you of signs of drowsiness, keeping your luxury rental experience safe.

The G-Wagon requires premium unleaded gasoline, not diesel or standard gasoline types. Adding fuel of the wrong type can cause issues, so you'll want to be sure you're using premium unleaded.
First time driving the Mercedes G-Wagon? Here are some tips for a smooth journey in this modern vehicle:
- Pick the right mode based on your driving conditions. For example, you can choose between Comfort, Sport, and Individual.
- Take advantage of the 360-degree camera system. This unique technology feature will give you views all around this SUV's boxy exterior.
The cost of a G-Wagon car rental can vary depending on the model variant, booking length, extras, and delivery. For a cheap G-Wagon rental, look out for potential discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.

In the UK, you must be 21 years old or older and have held a UK or EU license for at least one year, or another driver’s license for at least two years. In France you must be 18 years old or older and have held a driver’s license for at least 2 years, longer for certain makes and models of vehicles.
When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through a quick approval process by entering your driver’s license and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for all future road trips, day trips, and business trips!
Turo accepts valid licenses (not expired, suspended, or revoked) that allow for full driving privileges; this includes driver’s licenses issued outside of the US. Licenses that Turo doesn’t accept in the US include any that have expired, have been altered, are conditional, probational, provisional, or restricted. Learner’s permit/instruction permits are not accepted.

No, you don’t need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo.
In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a car in the US, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that’s right for you. On each trip, you’re covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.*
In New York state, you’ll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you’re covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.

Yes there is — whether you want to rent a car for three days, three months, or even longer, you can on Turo. You’ll find discounted prices on bookings lasting 3+, 7+, or 30+ days, so you can get the best deals and lowest rates possible by booking longer trips.
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you’ll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.
Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.
To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.
* Any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host’s vehicle would kick in before your protection plan, except in limited situations for trips booked in Maryland, but this protects your own wallet. In the US, liability insurance is provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. The policy does not provide coverage for damage to a host’s vehicle.
For questions or information about the third party liability insurance for trips in the US, consumers in Maryland and the licensed states listed here may contact Turo Insurance Agency at (415) 508-0283 or claims@turo.agency. For questions about how damage to a host’s vehicle is handled, visit the Turo Support site. When a trip is booked in the state of Washington, physical damage to the host’s vehicle is covered by insurance purchased by Turo, but the Turo insurance does not change the contractual responsibilities of hosts or guests with respect to physical damage to a host’s vehicle.
