Hyundai Palisade 2021

Had no problems with SUV, it was easy to find at the airport and clean upon pick up. We did have to pay for the airport parking which was only $3 so no big deal. Breaks were a little squeaky when wet and some minor damage to the exterior but nothing super noticeable. There was a big rock chip/crack to the passenger side windshield and I would recommend fixing this at some point but didn't interfere with driving. Decent gas mileage and big enough to haul family of 5 with 3 giant suitcases. It suited our needs well and we were even offered free car washes if we wanted to keep the car looking good, but we never did use any. Host was quick to respond. All in all a good experience!

The vehicle was beautiful inside and out, drove very smooth. The host was so nice and his communication was ON POINT. I had an issue with turo because I didn’t check out through the app when I dropped the car off, and he went above and beyond by quickly getting into contact with them to get me the refund I needed.

Mercedes-Benz GL-Class 2015

You could not ask for an easier pickup, the car is right outside the airport in the first or second row. However we did need to pay $22 on exit instead of the advertised $10. We did not receive the code for the keybox until a few moments after our reservation started, which was a bit of a frustration following a long day of travel. The car itself is showing its age, which some cracks, dents and scratches, but overall it drives well. I would hope that they have replaced the windshield by the time you rent this vehicle as it had two cracks and a chip when we had it in February 2026. It also had a warning about coolant being low and the airbag system malfunctioning at different times during our week long rental. The tires were also over and under inflated so we corrected that, and the car needed to be washed when we picked it up, but it does come with a Blue Wave car wash pass (handy and they ask you to run it through before return). Driving felt good, though at speeds over 60 it does have a bit of a wobble and the breaks aren't as stiff as I would expect, so it may need some repairs but It didn't feel unsafe. It is a diesel, so it may be louder than you're used to. Returning is just as easy as pickup: park at HRL and walk away.

Jeep Wrangler 2025

Car was just as planned. We had a glitch, I ordered a jeep grand Cherokee, and I asked her to confirm that it had four-wheel-drive. It turned out not to have four-wheel drive. She went above and beyond to cancel that trip and put me into this jeep. Everything went smoothly and I would rent from her again.

Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge wilderness experience

Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge stands as one of Texas's premier birding destinations, home to over 400 species including rare tropical birds found nowhere else in the United States. The refuge features several driving loops and walking trails through native thornscrub habitat. Your SUV's higher vantage point proves invaluable for spotting wildlife from the comfort of your vehicle, while the spacious interior accommodates binoculars, cameras, and field guides. The refuge's gravel roads and parking areas are easily navigable, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts exploring the Valley.

Historic Brownsville cultural heritage tour

This significant historical site preserves the location of the first major battle of the Mexican-American War, offering visitors a chance to walk through history on well-maintained trails. The park features an informative visitor center and interpretive programs that bring the past to life. Your rental car provides convenient access to this important landmark, with adequate parking and easy navigation throughout the grounds.
