Los Angeles sprawls across Southern California with its sun-soaked beaches, iconic Hollywood landmarks, and diverse neighborhoods stretching from downtown's skyscrapers to Malibu's coastline. You'll discover everything from world-famous entertainment districts to hidden local gems scattered across this vast metropolitan area. A cargo van rental gives you the space and flexibility to transport equipment for beach days, moving supplies, or large group adventures. The extra storage capacity proves invaluable when exploring LA's shopping districts or hauling gear for outdoor activities in nearby mountains and beaches. Your rental car becomes the perfect base for navigating this sprawling city where attractions can be miles apart.

The van we hire was great, Don was so easy to deal with and the van was in great condition, perfect for what we needed!
I'm new to Turo , and with Don's and his assistant I've been able to surf the app I can't thank Don enough for all his support and patient with me. I'm going on my 3rd booking with Don/ Turo. I will continue to use Turo. Keep up the great Customer Service Don

Awesome clean van! Drives like new. A/C ice cold and even has a power outlet in the dash. Easy to pickup and return. Don is super nice, couldn’t ask for a better experience. Will for sure be renting his van again soon!

Los Angeles offers world-renowned attractions from the Hollywood Walk of Fame to Santa Monica Pier, all easily accessible with your rental car. You can cruise down Sunset Boulevard, explore the trendy neighborhoods of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, or venture to the beaches of Venice and Manhattan Beach. Having a cargo van rental provides the freedom to visit multiple districts in one day, from downtown's Arts District to the entertainment hub of Hollywood, while carrying everything you need for beach visits or shopping excursions.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame stretches along Hollywood Boulevard, featuring over 2,700 stars honoring entertainment industry celebrities. You'll find the TCL Chinese Theatre and Dolby Theatre nearby, creating the heart of Los Angeles' entertainment scene. Parking can be challenging in this busy area, so arrive early or look for nearby parking structures to make the most of your visit.
Santa Monica Pier combines classic amusement park rides with stunning Pacific Ocean views, making it a quintessential Los Angeles experience. The pier features an iconic Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and numerous dining options overlooking the water. Your cargo van rental provides ample space for beach gear, and several parking lots serve the area, though they fill quickly during peak season.
Griffith Observatory sits atop the Hollywood Hills, offering panoramic views of Los Angeles and the famous Hollywood sign. The observatory features fascinating exhibits about space and astronomy, plus hiking trails throughout Griffith Park. The winding roads leading up provide scenic drives, and the observatory offers free parking, making it an ideal destination for your rental car adventure.
You can reach Los Angeles through several major transportation options:
• By plane: Los Angeles International Airport serves as the primary gateway, with additional options at Burbank and Long Beach airports
• By train: Amtrak connects Los Angeles Union Station to cities across California and the western United States
• By car: Major highways including Interstate 5, Interstate 10, and Highway 101 provide access from San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, and other regional destinations
Book your cargo van rental early on Turo to secure the best vehicle for your Los Angeles adventure, especially during peak travel seasons. Look for vans with features like backup cameras and keyless entry to navigate LA's busy streets and parking situations more easily. Consider extras like all-wheel drive if you plan to explore nearby mountain areas, or ensure your rental car is pet friendly if traveling with animals to LA's many dog-friendly beaches and parks.

Full-size cargo vans offer the most space for Los Angeles moves, accommodating furniture and multiple boxes in one trip. Mid-size cargo vans work well for apartment moves or when navigating narrow Hollywood streets and tight parking spaces. Compact cargo vans are ideal for smaller moves around Los Angeles but may require multiple trips for larger households.
Load heavy items like appliances and furniture first against the van walls, then fill gaps with boxes and soft items. Use moving blankets to protect surfaces and prevent cargo from shifting during transport through Los Angeles traffic. Stack boxes with heaviest on bottom and label everything clearly for easy unloading at your destination.
Allow extra following distance when driving cargo vans in Los Angeles since they require more stopping time than regular vehicles. Check mirrors frequently and use turn signals early, as cargo vans have larger blind spots than passenger cars. Plan routes avoiding low bridges and narrow streets common in older Los Angeles neighborhoods.
Use proper lifting techniques with your legs, not your back, and recruit helpers for heavy furniture pieces during your Los Angeles move. Position cargo vans on level ground and use ramps or dollies to minimize lifting height. Secure furniture immediately after loading to prevent shifting while navigating Los Angeles streets.
Use ratchet straps and tie-down points to anchor large items against cargo van walls during transport. Place moving blankets between items and van walls to prevent scratches and provide cushioning. Double-check all restraints before departing, especially for long-distance moves within the Los Angeles area.
Most cargo vans have payload capacities between 3,000-4,000 pounds, including passengers and cargo weight. Check the vehicle's door placard for exact weight specifications before loading for your Los Angeles move. Distribute weight evenly throughout the cargo area to maintain proper handling and avoid exceeding axle weight limits.

You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the "Unlimited distance" filter.
