I needed a rental while my car was at the shop. The price was fair for just getting around. Recommend.
The car was clean and in a great pick up location. This was my first experience with Turo and because of Bernards support and 100% customer care I will be using the app from here forward! T
This was my first time renting from Tura that I just heard about this month. Brandon was very helpful and patient with me in getting this reservation completed. Car was good for it's age.
Great car! I have an amazing trip! I would recommend it and rent it again! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Brandon saved the day! After having a car booked for weeks, the host canceled on me less than 24 hours before our flight was to land. I was able to solidify Brandon’s rental in less than 15 minutes and he was already messaging to confirm details. He checked in throughout the trip and was very attentive! Thank you so much!
This was the absolute best host that I've had. They had a very clean car, no issues, easy pick up and they were very accommodating. I will definitely rent again.

The car was exactly as described. The host was very responsive and accommodating when I needed to extend my rental. I would rent from this host again.

I love this car. Will definitely rent again. In fact, Im already planning another trip with it. ☺️

Car was great, awesome communication and good service. Would definitely rent again . Thank you for helping my trip go smoothly.
another great trip, car drives perfect. Host is a angel sent from heaven I extended my trip 3 or 4 times he didn’t have a problem at all. I even dropped off a little late he understood and let me know It was ok. I contacted him multiple times with sooo many questions because I’m not use to driving newer model cars and he responded within seconds happy to answer all my questions. I will be booking again very soon.

The car was great, drove fantastic, and easy to pick up/ drop off. Would rent again for a trip out of town.

The car was really nice, clean, and comfortable! I especially loved that it had leather seat covers because I have a 7-year-old son, so it was nice not having to worry as much about staining cloth seats. We drove it about 13 hours each way, and it did great for such a long trip. Overall, we had a great experience with the car and would definitely rent it again!

Car was clean and in great condition! Great communication with host and easy pickup/drop-off. Would definitely rent again!

I liked the car drove smooth would rent from Dominick again when I return to Norfolk.
The trip was excellent. The car was in great condition and performed excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Who is monthly car rental in Virginia Beach for?
Just relocated to Virginia Beach
You just got PCS orders to NAS Oceana, accepted a defense contracting role, or started a position at Sentara Healthcare — and your household goods won't arrive for weeks. A monthly car rental in Virginia Beach puts you behind the wheel while you learn the commute, find the right neighborhood, and decide whether buying makes sense here at all. No rushing into a used-car purchase before you know the area — consider it a car ownership alternative.
Lease just ended — or just sold your car
Your lease wrapped up, you sold your car, or you're simply between vehicles. Instead of scrambling to close a deal at a Hampton Roads dealership, take a breath. An extended car rental in Virginia Beach buys you time to compare options, wait for better financing, or test whether you even need to own right now — all without being stuck at home.
Extended work assignment or traveling professional
Traveling nurses at Sentara, defense contractors on 90-day assignments, seasonal TDY personnel rotating through Hampton Roads — daily rental rates add up fast over weeks and months. Monthly rates on Turo are significantly more competitive for defined-period stays, whether that's 10 weeks or six months. You get a car that fits your commute without paying tourist prices.
Post-college or first car
You just crossed the stage at Regent University or Old Dominion, and your credit history is thin, your budget is tight, and your next move is uncertain. A monthly car rental gets you reliable transportation without a loan, a co-signer, or a five-year commitment to a vehicle you might not need if you relocate. Rent a car for a month in Virginia Beach, then reassess.
Flying into Hampton Roads for an extended stay? Guests arriving at ORF can pick up a car right from the airport's parking garages — no shuttle buses, no rental counters. It's a practical starting point if you're relocating to Virginia Beach or beginning a multi-month work assignment and need wheels from the moment you land. You can also browse car rentals in Norfolk for additional options across Hampton Roads.
Virginia Beach's urban business district is home to corporate offices, GEICO's regional hub, and high-density residential towers. If your extended car rental in Virginia Beach is tied to a professional relocation or a contract role downtown, picking up near Town Center keeps your commute short from day one.
Hilltop sits close to both the oceanfront and NAS Oceana, making it a natural landing spot for military families and long-term residents. The area has grocery stores, medical offices, and the everyday infrastructure that matters when you're driving the same car for months — not days.

Before you book a monthly car rental in Virginia Beach, a few local details will help you get more value and fewer surprises.
Use Turo's duration filter to see listings with 30-day-plus discounts — that's where the deepest savings live. Many Virginia Beach listings also offer reduced rates for seven-day and 14-day bookings. Booking a few weeks ahead typically opens up a wider selection, especially during summer when Hampton Roads gets busier.
Think daily commute, not weekend showpiece. A fuel-efficient sedan or compact SUV from Toyota, Honda, or Hyundai will keep your gas costs low on the I-264 corridor. Prioritize comfort and cargo space for everyday driving over features you'll rarely use.
Virginia enforces a strict hands-free phone law — no holding your device while driving. Expect delays at the Downtown and Midtown Tunnels during rush hour, congestion where I-264 meets I-64, and slow traffic on Shore Drive during summer months.
Town Center has structured parking garages that work well for daily commuters. The oceanfront area runs on metered parking, though you can get monthly garage passes. Most residential neighborhoods in Virginia Beach have free street parking, which is a relief for long-term renters.
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, Downtown Tunnel, Midtown Tunnel, and Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel all carry tolls. E-ZPass works at every crossing, and pay-by-plate covers you if you don't have a transponder. Check with your car's listing for any toll-related notes.
Gas stations line Virginia Beach Boulevard and Independence Boulevard, with additional clusters near I-264 exits. EV chargers cluster around the Lynnhaven Mall area and at several hotels, though the network is still growing. Plan charging stops if you're driving electric on longer Hampton Roads routes.
You'll find practical, everyday vehicles that make sense for monthly driving — reliable sedans, fuel-efficient compacts, and family-friendly SUV rentals in Virginia Beach from makers like Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and Kia. These models tend to offer the best value for commuters and the lowest fuel costs over a multi-month booking.
Whether you want to rent a car for a month in Virginia Beach or stay for several months, rentals on Turo get cheaper the longer you book. Trips of 30 days or more unlock the deepest discounts, and many listings also offer reduced rates for seven-day and 14-day bookings. About 60% of available monthly supply in Virginia Beach is priced under $800 per month, with a median around $1,300 per month. You'll see the total price before you book — no hidden fees, no surprise charges at the end.
No extensive credit checks. You'll need a valid driver's license, and Turo verifies your identity, but there's no hard credit pull like a lease or loan application. Getting started with a monthly car rental in Virginia Beach is straightforward — no finance office visit required.
Yes, extending is simple. You can request an extension directly through the Turo app — no new paperwork, no renegotiation. If your Virginia Beach assignment runs longer than expected, you're covered with a few taps.
If you need a different vehicle, you can end your current trip and book a new one. No penalties for switching things up — whether your needs change or you simply want something different for the next stretch in Virginia Beach.
A valid driver's license, a verified Turo account, and a payment method. That's it. No stack of paperwork, no finance office visits — just what you'd expect for booking a monthly car rental in Virginia Beach through an app.
A valid US driver's license. International visitors arriving in Virginia Beach can also rent with a valid license from their home country, though an International Driving Permit may be helpful for smoother verification.
Turo offers protection plans you can choose when booking your Virginia Beach rental. Select the level that works for you and drive with confidence — each plan spells out exactly what's covered before you commit.
Many listings include a daily mileage allowance, and some offer unlimited distance. If you're planning regular commutes around Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads, filter for "Unlimited distance" when browsing to avoid any per-mile concerns.
Yes. Trips of 30 days or more automatically unlock the deepest discounts on Turo. Many Virginia Beach listings also offer reduced weekly rates. The math is simple — book longer to save more.
You can add an approved additional driver through the Turo app. All drivers must meet Turo's requirements — handy if you're sharing a monthly rental in Virginia Beach with a spouse or partner during a relocation.
It depends on the timeline. For one to three months, a monthly rental on Turo often costs less than a lease once you factor in the down payment, monthly lease payment, taxes, and maintenance that come with signing a contract. Turo's pricing is transparent and all-in — you see exactly what you'll pay before you book, with no hidden charges or depreciation eating into your budget. For shorter commitments in Virginia Beach, that clarity can save you real money compared to locking into a 24- or 36-month lease.
