This was my first time using this car rental app. The car was great, used very little gas, and Israeli was helpful and friendly. A much more human experience than a traditional car rental company is, even though I never met him in person, the car had a lockbox. I will rent from him again……… 👌✨✨✨✨✨👌
The car was perfect for our trip. And pick up and dropp off were easy.

The car rode super smooth jay was super nice! He was soooo cool!!! Very efficient… it was my first time driving a Tesla he stayed in the parking lot at 6am with me and went over everything in the car! He even reached out during the weekend and gave me a few pointers regarding the car. When I needed help on how to charge the car he answered immediately and directed me on where to go and what to do! Definitely will rent again in a week or two!!! Thank you again jay!

What a great trip!! Car was perfect and so much fun! Highly recommend renting this one!
The 911 Carrera S was in amazing shape, it looks and drives as if it just arrived from the Zuffenhausen factory. Rom was very responsive and flexible. Would definitely rent from him again. Highly recommend!

Premium experience. This is probably my best experience using Turo. First off, the car was immaculate, well taken care of without cheap maintenance and parts like we often find on Turo. Second, Rom provided a truly premium service, meeting me at pickup to walk through the vehicle, communicated and responded quickly. This is rare standard nowadays on Turo. I will rent from Rom again without a doubt.

Rom is a fantastic host. Super easy to communicate with and fast with responses. Car was an absolute blast to drive. Ticked all the right boxes for a fantastic sports car. There was a personal issue before drop off and he was incredibly understanding and accommodating through the process. I would recommend him as a host with any reservation. And the 911 is a real deal. Can’t wait to be back in one again soon.

We rented a red convertible Porsche for our 32 year anniversary trip to Napa, and it made the whole experience unforgettable. The car was absolutely clean, beautiful, and ran perfectly, you can tell it’s very well maintained. Driving through Napa Valley with the top down was incredible. The red convertible got a lot of attention everywhere we went and truly made the trip feel extra special. Highly recommend this rental if you’re visiting Napa, it’s a fantastic way to experience the area in style!

Top notch! Warning, you should be an excellent driver to operate this awesome machine properly.

Great little car and good communication. Gas mileage is a huge plus when it's $6 a gallon. A couple of small issues that were addressed. Thanks. Will definitely rent again.

Adrian was great to rent from and the car was epic to drive. Thank you for a great experience

Host very responsive. Car ran very well. Pick up really easy and convenient. Car was very dirty at pick up but host was understanding and agreed to pay for car wash which was much appreciated. All in all had a great trip in a little car that drives well and handles the road!

Car was incredible, Rom was a great host, great communication, very accommodating, would definitely rent again

Another option is the drive along Shoreline Highway, which hugs the coastline and offers stunning vistas of the rugged California shore. For a more secluded experience, consider exploring the roads within Muir Woods National Monument, where towering redwoods create a serene atmosphere. These lots are conveniently located for exploring the charming downtown area. Street parking is also available, but be sure to check posted time limits to avoid fines. For longer stays, consider using the park-and-ride lot on Sunnyside Avenue, which provides all-day parking. If you're visiting during peak hours or weekends, arriving early can help secure a spot more easily. Some local businesses also offer customer parking, so it's worth checking if your destination has this option. Remember to always lock your car and keep valuables out of sight when parking in any location.
Navigating the winding roads in Muir Woods National Monument requires careful attention. Drive slowly and cautiously, as the roads can be narrow with tight turns. Be prepared for potential fog, especially in the mornings, which can reduce visibility. Use your headlights even during daylight hours to increase your visibility to other drivers. Watch for cyclists and pedestrians, who often share these scenic routes. It's advisable to use a smaller car for easier maneuverability on these roads. Keep an eye out for wildlife, particularly deer, which may suddenly appear. Lastly, consider visiting during off-peak hours to avoid heavy traffic. These tips will help ensure a safe and enjoyable drive through the stunning redwood forests of Muir Woods.
For exploring Mill Valley and its surrounding natural areas, versatile vehicles are ideal. A compact SUV or crossover offers a good balance of maneuverability for city driving and capability for rougher terrain. These car types provide higher ground clearance, which is beneficial on some of the area's more rugged roads. If you're planning to stick mainly to paved roads, a mid-size sedan could be a comfortable and fuel-efficient choice. For those interested in a more eco-friendly option, consider an electric vehicle, as Mill Valley and the surrounding Bay Area have a growing network of charging stations. Convertibles can be fun for scenic coastal drives, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful California weather. Ultimately, choose a rental car that matches your specific itinerary and comfort preferences.
Preparing for foggy conditions in Mill Valley is essential for safe driving. First, ensure your rental car's lights are in good working order, including fog lights if available. When fog rolls in, reduce your speed and increase the distance between you and other vehicles. Use your low beam headlights; high beams can reflect off the fog and reduce visibility. Keep your windshield clean and use the defroster to prevent fogging inside the car. Be extra cautious at intersections and listen for traffic you may not be able to see. If fog becomes too dense, consider pulling over safely until conditions improve. It's also wise to familiarize yourself with your route beforehand, as fog can make navigation more challenging. By following these precautions, you can navigate Mill Valley's foggy conditions more safely.
Several reliable gas stations can be found near the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, ensuring you can keep your rental car fueled for exploring Mill Valley and beyond. In Mill Valley itself, you'll find stations along Miller Avenue and East Blithedale Avenue. These locations are convenient for topping up before heading into the recreation area. As you drive towards the Golden Gate Bridge, additional options are available in Sausalito. It's advisable to fill up before entering more remote areas of the park, as stations can be scarce within the recreation area itself. Many of these stations also offer convenience stores for snacks and supplies. Remember to check your fuel levels regularly, especially before embarking on longer drives through the park's scenic routes.
Peak traffic hours in Mill Valley typically coincide with standard commute times. Morning rush hour generally occurs between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, with heaviest congestion on routes leading towards San Francisco. The evening rush tends to be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with traffic flowing back into Mill Valley. Weekends can also see increased traffic, especially on sunny days when many visitors head to nearby attractions. To avoid the busiest times, consider planning your drives outside these peak hours. Early morning or late evening trips can offer smoother travel experiences. If you must travel during peak times, allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes. Traffic apps can provide real-time updates to help you navigate around congestion and make your Mill Valley driving experience more enjoyable.
When driving from Mill Valley to San Francisco, the main toll to be aware of is the Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge uses an electronic toll collection system, so there's no need to stop to pay. If you're in a rental car, check with the provider about their policy for handling tolls. Some may charge the toll to your account, while others might require you to pay directly. The toll is only collected when traveling southbound into San Francisco. Another potential toll route is via the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, which you might use if taking an alternative route. As with the Golden Gate Bridge, this also uses electronic tolling. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with these toll locations and payment methods before your trip to ensure a smooth journey between Mill Valley and San Francisco.
